May 22, 2001 - The Enquirer reports Shannen Doherty's behavior was often obnoxious and her feuding with co-star Alyssa Milano so bitter, sources say, that members of the crew and cast couldn't wait for her to leave.

May 16, 2001 - The New York Daily New's Mitchell Fink reports the reason Shannen Doherty is no longer associated with Charmed can be summed up in two words: Alyssa Milano.

May 16, 2001 - MSNBC's Jeannette Walls reports that according to an insider, while initial thinking at the WB was that Alyssa had to go, after Shannen overplayed her hand in contract negotiations, they decided to keep Alyssa instead. The insider revealed, "She’s much better liked by the cast and staff anyway."

May 16, 2001 - Reuters reports Suzanne Daniels, co-president of entertainment for WB, says the network is searching for a replacement for Shannen Doherty. Charmed was picked up for the next three seasons.

May 16, 2001 - Alyssa Milano was ranked #4 in FHM's 100 Sexiest Women in the World 2001 edition, voted on by readers. Alyssa was at #7 last year and Jennifer Lopez was rated #1 for the second straight year.

May 15, 2001 - Lin Milano confirmed reports on Shannen leaving Charmed telling the Safe Searching message boards, "I wanted you all to know that it is true Shannen is gone from Charmed. We were all very surprised and wish her good luck in all her endeavors."

May 15, 2001 - Shannen Doherty has mysteriously walked away from Charmed - and nobody's saying why. Many had speculated this would be Alyssa, though the future of the show appears now in limbo.
