January 30, 2001 - Angelina Jolie is profiled by Michael Atkinson in February's Interview magazine. Atkinson says Angelina "seems to be demonstrating what in Hollywood passes for a chin-stuck-wayout machisma, which is another way of saying she will not be told which star to steer by."

January 29, 2001 - Tomb Raider previews were broadcast during the Super Bowl and Survivor commercial breaks.

January 28, 2001 - E! Online reports that because of a knee injury Nicole Kidman sustained in the musical Moulin Rouge, she may be unable to play the lead role in The Panic Room. Angelina Jolie seems to be the favorite to take the role should Kidman drop out, since Beyond Borders, the film Jolie was expected to shoot, was scrapped earlier.

January 28, 2001 - Angelina Jolie has been nominated for Favorite Actress - Action for her role in Gone in 60 Seconds in the Seventh Annual Blockbuster Awards. The show will air April 11th on FOX.

January 26, 2001 - Angelina Jolie is telling Now magazine that she helped get in shape for Tomb Raider by making love to Billy Bob, weight lifting, and a lifestyle change. She admitted, "I smoked a lot, drank far too much, suffered from insomnia and like every other normal person, I know, I was imbalanced. I had to undergo a complete re-adjustment."

January 22, 2001 - Angelina Jolie is shown here at the Golden Globe Awards in Beverly Hills Sunday. Angelina presented the award for Supporting Actor, Drama, Musical or Comedy to Benicio Del Toro for his role in Traffic.

January 22, 2001 - Entertainment Weekly reports Billy Bob Thornton is planning a script for Penelope Cruz, Angelina, Matt Damon, and himself. Matt Damon told EW, "One night Billy said, "We're doing a hitchhiking movie."

January 19, 2001 - Peoplenews.com reports that Her Majesty the Queen agreed to let scenes from Tomb Raider be filmed in the grounds of Windsor Great Park, close to Windsor Castle... So aparently filming is not quite finished.

January 17, 2001 - The Enquirer reports Angelina Jolie and Billy Bob Thornton both wear lockets containing a drop of the other's blood.

January 15, 2001 - During his Tea with Ted chat, Ted Casablanca responded to a questioner who wondered if Angelina Jolie's career will be 'Gone in 60 Seconds' by saying, "Career? Love, it's her life I'm worried about. Sure, as long as she remains with the living, she's got fantastic opportunities. A.J. brings heat to the screen like no other babe in years."

January 13, 2001 - Mr. Blackwell has named Angelina Jolie the second worst dressed of 2000 in his 41st annual list saying of her, "Fashion interrupted. Hit by a Gen-X Gothic hex."

January 7, 2001 - Electronic Gaming Monthly quotes Angelina Jolie talking about her character in Tomb Raider, "I'm all for curves on a woman, and feeling sexy, and not hiding from it and kind of enjoying it, and I'm hoping everybody will enjoy it as well."

January 6, 2001 - The National Enquirer reports Angelina Jolie yelled at her limo driver when she had to run across the street to get to it. The limo driver eventually told her that she was in the wrong limo.

January 6, 2001 - The New York Daily New's Mitchell Fink reports that even though he'd dumped his daughter and married Angelina, Bruce Dern who played judge in All the Pretty Horses still get along. Billy Bob told Fink "we're like this" while crossing his fingers.

January 5, 2001 - Angelina Jolie proving not all A-list celebrities let others do the 'dirty work.' Angelina was shown carrying her own grocery bags after a shopping trip at Ralph's Supermarket in North Hollywood on Wednesday.

January 4, 2001 - In an Abstracts.net poll asking if Angelina Jolie and Billy Bob's marriage last more than 5 years, only 27.8% of the 115 total respondents said yes, while 72.2% said no.

January 3, 2001 - The Star reports Angelina Jolie was so excited to get out of Europe after filming Tomb Raider that she headed straight to the airport on the last day of shooting... Problem was, they had to do four more days of re-shoots, which Jolie had no idea of and she had to be literally dragged out of the plane. Angelina did get back to the US in time for the holidays though.

January 2, 2001 - The New York Post gave Angelina Jolie the award for Six Degrees of Separation in their annual Sixy Awards, saying Jolie "fueled rumors about her relationship with her brother James by swapping spit with him at the Oscars."

January 1, 2001 - The New York Daily News reports Angelina Jolie's character Lara Croft has 13 different costumes in Tomb Raider, and some are as little as a towel!

January 1, 2001 - Several tidbits on Angelina in yesterday's Entertaindom.com report, including Billy Bob's fear of antiques, his bizarre rituals, and how Angelina will love Billy forever even if he leaves her. The article has since been removed.

January 1, 2001 - Perhaps Angelina doesn't look so good in the morning as Billy Bob is telling Esquire, "Did you ever look at a woman when she's asleep and think, 'Who the [bleep] is that?' You can kind of see her face, and she looks like a [bleeping] monster? And much of the daytime, you're, like, 'Oh, honey, I love you. Are you okay?' But when she's asleep, that's how you really feel about her."
