April 30, 2002 - Billy Bob Thornton has good things to say about Star magazine, for the way they handled the story of the baby boy he and wife Angelina Jolie adopted from Cambodia, "I really want to thank you guys for being so sweet to me and Angelina," he told Star reporter Barbara Jones. You showed respect for us and our baby. And you weren't in our faces. If all the media were like you, we'd cooperate a lot better." Thornton also says there won't be any problem getting Maddox back to America.

April 28, 2002 - Stefano Gabbana of Dolce & Gabbana commented on Angelina Jolie's D&G head to toe outfits in 'Life' saying, "Angelina appreciates fashion. She has a great individual style that we admire. She exudes confidence and has a great body to wear our clothes."

April 28, 2002 - E! Online has a Q&A with Angelina Jolie, where she talked about her being blonde in 'Life', "I think if I'd been my brunette self it wouldn't have been as comedic. Her personality has blonde written all over it. I also thought she had to have very big hair. Hopefully, it's going to help the audience not to think it's me up there. I'd like them to meet this new person that is totally different."

April 27, 2002 - Jami Bernard of the New York Daily News gave 'Life' a 1 1/2 star review and said of Jolie, "Jolie is saddled with a charmless character. We are supposed to feel for Lanie because she wasn't a stunner back in high school, boohoo."

April 27, 2002 - The Mirror quotes Angelina Jolie saying from now on she won't appear nude in any of her movies - because she thinks her breasts aren't sexy enough. Jolie said, "I don't see my breasts as being that f***ing stunning. I never think of myself as some pin-up when I take my clothes off. I think as I get older, nude scenes will be more appropriate. As I change, I'll have more character."

April 27, 2002 - MSNBC.com has a clip of Angelina Jolie talking with "Today" host Katie Couric about her role in "Life, Or Something Like It" on Thursday from Thailand, where she's filming "Beyond Borders". Check it out here.

April 27, 2002 - Christopher Borrelli of the Toledo Blade continues the 'Life or Something Like It' bashing parade, giving the film a 1 out of 5 star rating. Borrelli said, "With her pouty lips and smoky eyes, Jolie makes a great vamp, of course, but it's hard to buy it when you can read the confusion in her eyes about where all this is going." April 27, 2002 - Moira Macdonald of the Seattle Times reviewed 'Life' from the standpoint of a Seattle person, where the film is set. She asks, "Did the producers think platinum bouffants are all the rage in the Pacific Northwest? And have they ever tried to navigate the Pike Place Market hillclimb in stilettos?" April 27, 2002 - Hey, a positive review! Geoff Carter of the Las Vegas Sun gave 'Life' a 3 star rating saying "Jolie is so fiercely charismatic in this role that she carries the picture through its weak moments, most of which happen in the wake of her romance with Burns."

April 27, 2002 - Susan Stark / Detroit News Film Critic gives 'Life or Something Like It' a two rose (Acceptable) rating.

April 27, 2002 - Chris Hewitt of the St. Paul Pioneer Press gives 'Life' a 1 out of 4 star review saying, "She is Angelina Jolie or Ashley Judd or Charlize Theron — the performance is so colorless I can barely remember."

April 27, 2002 - Sue Pierman of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel gives 'Life or Something Like It' a 1/2 star review saying, "Jolie is such an annoying, oddball walking '80s cliche that it's easier to start rooting for Shalhoub's prediction to come true."

April 27, 2002 - Mary F. Pols of the Contra Costa Times reviewed 'Life or Something Like It' giving it a C+ rating. Pols said, "Their big love scene involves a close-up of him reverentially pulling down a zipper on her sweatshirt, which is about as sexy as Kraft macaroni and cheese. This is Angelina Jolie -- getter of tattoos, wearer of vials of blood, inappropriate kisser of her own brother, Mrs. Billy Bob Thornton for gosh sake -- she doesn't stand around demurely waiting for someone to pull down her zipper."

April 27, 2002 - Steve Rosen of the Denver Post reviewed 'Life' giving it 2 out of 4 stars - calling it "a confused and contrived effort to base a film around a star. The meandering story almost seems improvised. Some elements work, but overall the effect is scattershot and ultimately very tedious."

April 27, 2002 - Peter Howell of the Toronto Star calls it "Lifeless, or something like it" giving Angelina Jolie's new film a two star review.

April 26, 2002 - Sal Cinquemani of slant magazine reviewed 'Life or Something Like It' giving it 2 1/2 out of 4 stars. Sal said, "Jolie glows during the film's first half, proving she can do more than play psycho. She singlehandedly carries the weight of an oft-predictable plot on her fuscia Dolce & Gabanna heels." April 26, 2002 - Lisa Schwarzbaum of Entertainment Weekly reviewed 'Life or Something Like It' giving it a 'D' grade. Lisa said, "This 'Life' is not worth taking seriously -- not when Jolie plays Lanie Kerrigan, a Seattle TV reporter with a Marilyn Monroe fixation expressed through a wardrobe of sex-kitten suits and a trademark, rain-defying platinum tousle of hair." April 26, 2002 - KTLA spoke with Angelina Jolie via satellite from her new film Beyond Borders where she spoke about her son, the decision to become a parent, her film location, not exactly bonding with Life co-star Ed Burns, and any plans for additional adoptions. April 25, 2002 - Liane Bonin of Entertainment Weekly spoke to psychics to get their thoughts on Angelina Jolie's new movie 'Life' and whether they tell clients they are about to die - as is done in the movie. Read more.

April 21, 2002 - Rosie O'Donnell's new book Find Me includes the talk show host talking about Angelina Jolie. ''I dream about her all the time, and it's not like an adolescent boy lust thing at all,'' she says. ''There's something she represents to me, I think freedom . . . some sort of truth and beauty. She's like a wild stallion, she's like a non-earthly creature to me.''

April 21, 2002 - Angelina is quoted in US Weekly saying: "I don't think of myself as voluptuous or even feminine. I always thought I was too angular. I think I'd make a good boy. I think I went through a period where I was denying anything feminine about myself. And it took me a while - until I met Billy - to actually feel like a girl. I was almost shocked into being a girl."

April 18, 2002 - Ananova reports Angelina Jolie has bought 2,000 pizzas for all the extras working on her new film in Africa - 'Beyond Borders'.

April 18, 2002 - Associated Press reports Beyond Borders co-producer Lloyd Phillips said Wednesday that about five weeks of shooting in Thailand will wrap up main filming on the movie, which began production in December.

April 8, 2002 - The London Daily Telegraph reports Billy Bob Thornton wants to wipe the endangered komodo dragon off the face of the earth. Thornton said, "If it were up to me, I'd just go to that island and kill them all. I would just . . . shoot those sons of bitches." Seems Billy Bob once woke up Angelina Jolie at their home in the middle of the night and insisted they go to a hotel because he'd dreamed their house was infested the dragons.

April 5, 2002 - Angelina Jolie spoke with MegaStar to promote 'Original Sin' as well as her husband Billy Bob, whom she described by saying, "I think you just can't get enough of every part of them. I tend to just walk around him like an animal, like wherever he is I seem to hover in his space. I want to smell him and taste him and when I'm away from him, like I just see him and talk to him and think about him and would do anything for him."

April 5, 2002 - Billy Bob Thornton disputed reports that he and Angelina were having troubles getting their adoption through. Thornton blasted, "That is just so much nonsense. "It's like they look at us and see we have adopted a baby and see we are happy and they think, `How can we spoil that?' So they make up stuff about us not being able to bring him into the US." April 2, 2002 - WENN reports Billy Bob Thornton has admitted he and Angelina plan to adopt a brother for their new son Maddox. Thornton said of the legal details in bringing Maddox home, "We'll get this sorted out. We're going back to get little Maddox a baby sister. Angelina and I have already seen the baby girl the last time we were in Cambodia, and she's adorable. She's an orphan, too."
