August 30, 2002 - The Sun reports Angelina is insisting on taking adopted son Maddox with her while she films the sequel to Tomb Raider. "Angelina wants to spend every moment she can with Maddox," an insider said. "She has told producers that she wants her son with her always, wherever she goes."

August 24, 2002 - Billy Bob Thornton, currently being divorced by his wife Angelina Jolie, has been spending intimate evenings with blue-eyed 23-year-old actress Danielle Dotzenrod -- the mystery brunette photographed with him last week.

August 24, 2002 - The Sun reports Tomb Raider 2 is set to be filmed in Wales because movie bosses feel it looks like China. "Shooting of the film begins next week and we are now heading to Greece with Angelina," an insider said.

August 21, 2002 - A source tells The National Enquirer that Angelina Jolie has refused to let her actor father Jon Voight back into her life despite his public plea. "He figured that if he went on TV, she'd get angry and call him," the source said. "Well, he miscalculated. Angelina doesn't want her son to go through the same pain of abandonment she did. She's vowed, 'My father did it to me. He's not doing it to Maddox. I'm not letting him get close so he can break our hearts again.'" Another source adds, "She also feels her father's comings and goings over the years have hurt her far more than helped her. And she doesn't want the same emotional harm to come to Maddox."

August 19, 2002 - The Sun has a photo of Billy Bob leaving The Whiskey with a mystery brunette the other night. An onlooker said, "He didn't let go of his new girl's hand, not even when he agreed to sign autographs for fans. The couple went back to his bungalow."

August 17, 2002 - The Daily Star reports Billy Bob Thornton is reportedly planning to remarry wife number four, Pietra Dawn Cherniak, just months after splitting from his fifth spouse, Angelina Jolie. "There is a deep bond of love between the them like never before," said a source. "It could lead to a second spin down the aisle."

August 16, 2002 - A reader quizzed E! Online's Ted Casablanca about the concern they have for Angelina Jolie's adopted baby Maddox, worried he's just the latest fad for Angie. "I suppose I should thank you, on Angelina's behalf, for your concern--but even I'm not that nervy," Ted said. "Besides, as genuine as your interest may be, I must say it never ceases to amaze me how hypercritical people are over the supposed transgressions of stars (J.Lo and Angelina's marital bustups, etc.). Meanwhile, these same naysayers have friends and neighbors right next door doing the exact same things, with nary a word over the fence. Why is that?"

August 11, 2002 - US Weekly has a photo featuring Angelina holding Maddox where he's shown wearing anklets. The magazine explains that they are traditional baby jewelry from Cambodia. "They're called chang krang choeung," said Danny Vong, chairman of the Cambodian Jewelry Association of California. "And they help mothers keep track of their baby's movements."

August 11, 2002 - Jon Voight told Variety last week that reports "are untrue" that he and daughter Angelina Jolie have patched things up. Voight is happy that his niece, Kelly Voight, will be Anchor for a Day on Court TV Aug. 14. 

August 10, 2002 - Dees Sleaze has a clip on reports that Shaq O'Neal has a thing for Angelina Jolie, while her ex-hubby Billy Bob is being accused of drinking on the set of his latest film. Audio at rick.com has since been removed.

August 10, 2002 - The Sun reports Marcheline Bertrand says Angelina is "magnificently healthy" after hearing Jon Voight's comments saying she needed serious help for her "mental problems." She insisted, "There's nothing wrong with Angelina's mental health."

August 9, 2002 - E! Online's Ted Casablanca says friends of Angelina Jolie never know what her newest desire might be--tattoos, room service, marriage or a new pair of black jeans.

August 8, 2002 - The Sun's report that Angelina Jolie had contacted Jon Voight appears to be untrue. Access Hollywood spoke to Jon and he told them he has not heard from Angelina. At this Sunday's Teen Choice Awards, he told us he still holds out hope of a reconciliation. "My love is waiting for my daughter, always has been," he said.

August 8, 2002 - MSNBC's Jeannette Walls reports Angelina Jolie's spokesman refused to comment on reports that she reconciled with her estranged father Jon Voight after he made emotional televised pleas for her to call him. The flack also wouldn't address rumors that Jolie has hooked up with someone else from her past, ex hubby Johnny Lee Miller.

August 8, 2002 - After what one friend calls ''a lot of soul-searching,'' Angelina Jolie reportedly has phoned her father, Jon Voight, responding to what he termed a ''last ditch'' effort to reconcile with his estranged daughter.

August 8, 2002 - The Mirror reports Angelina Jolie, having dinner with pals while a gentleman looked after her adopted son Maddox in the waiting area of Chelsea eatery Sabbia.

August 8, 2002 - The Mirror reports Angelina Jolie has been desperate to re-establish contact - her English ex-husband Jonny Lee Miller. She's been bombarding him with pleading phone calls since arriving in London to film the sequel to Tomb Raider. "It's very difficult for Jonny. He still regards himself as Angelina's friend," said a source. "But Lisa Faulkner is the woman in his life now and he can't drop everything for his ex-wife."

August 7, 2002 - Entertainment Tonight reports Kathy Griffin is causing controversy in Hollywood with her racy new show that pulls no punches when it comes to criticizing the stars. "It's called telling tales out of school because it's a lot of dish," she said. "And you know I can't resist the Angelina's and the Billy Bob's. I'm not that big a person that I could just let that go."

August 6, 2002 - Cindy Adams of the New York Post quotes Angelina Jolie, seeing hard hats with their tops off: "I'd like to do that, too. I'd like to go shopping with my top off."

August 6, 2002 - The Sun reports Angelina and father Jon Voight have patched things up after his tearful TV plea last week. "After seeing how distraught he was, Angelina decided to get back in touch. She could see how upsetting the family feud was for Jon and decided to let bygones be bygones." Read more.

August 4, 2002 - Actor Jon Voight is taking to the airways to try and patch things up with estranged daughter Angelina Jolie.

August 4, 2002 - Us Weekly briefly spoke with Billy Bob Thornton at a fundraiser for the American Heart Association held at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hills. Thornton said of his ended marriage to Angelina Jolie, "I dont' talk about stuff. I take the high road." Missing during his performance later that night was 'Angelina'.

August 2, 2002 - Jon Voight has told "Access Hollywood" that he is concerned about his daughter Angelie Jolie, saying "she needs help", leading many to believe she might have a substance abuse problem -- he never said why she needs help though.

August 1, 2002 - The Chicago Sun Times reports a close friend of Angelina Jolie's tells them there is one issue Billy Bob Thornton will not contest in the upcoming divorce: custody of the couple's newly adopted Cambodian baby Maddox. ''That child was completely Angelina's idea ... and nothing Billy Bob was the least bit interested in. He wishes the child well, but has no interest in raising him.''
