May 26, 2005 - Jeannette Walls of MSNBC.com reports talk shows that usually book stars of new movies have been trouble getting 'Mr. and Mrs. Smith' stars Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie. "We've been trying, and usually when someone has a movie opening it's no problem," one talk show producer told Walls. "But you can understand their reluctance to face the media."

May 12, 2005 - The New York Daily News reports that after meeting Sierra Leone's president, Ahmad Tejan Kabbah, he has finally agreed to a timetable for enacting human-rights reforms proposed by his country's Truth and Reconciliation Commission. "The president has taken an important step toward implementing the recommendations," said Jolie, who traveled to Sierra Leone with the New York-based human-rights group Witness. "I will be bringing more international focus here and coming back to ensure that the TRC recommendations do not drop off the agenda."
