"Most of the night I just thought about how quickly I want to adopt again," the actress told reporters at a Worldwide Orphans Foundation Benefit in the city. October 26, 2005 - The Sun reports that Angelina Jolie is poised to star in the new James Bond movie — as a Pussy Galore-style temptress. Producers reckon the Hollywood beauty, 30, is "perfect" for the role of Vesper Lynd, a Russian double agent who beds new 007 Daniel Craig in 'Casino Royale'.

October 26, 2005 - According to the satirical website The Borowitz Report, Sunni Arabs turned out in large numbers over the weekend to vote against the new Iraqi constitution, complaining that the charter contained no provision that would prevent actress Angelina Jolie from breaking up Iraq. October 15, 2005 - The National Enquirer reports that when Brad Pitt phoned his mother in Missouri and told her he wanted to come home to introduce new girlfriend Angelina Jolie and her babies, Zahara and Maddox, a source says she told him she was not ready to meet his new girlfriend. Why? Insiders say Brad's mom, who still meets with Jennifer Aniston and phones her frequently, is extremely loyal to the ex-wife — and needs time to adjust to life without her. Dutiful son Brad told Mom that he understood.

October 15, 2005 - During Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie's visit to the Edmonton Mall in Alberta, the couple were joined by her children Maddox and Zahara at the mall's indoor Galaxyland Amusement Park. "Brad and Maddox were at the children's play area," a source said. "Brad was helping Maddox, who kept saying, 'Daddy, can we go on that ride?' They looked like a tight, happy family. Brad had Maddox, and Angelina had Zahara pressed close to her chest."

October 3, 2005 - The New York Daily News reports George Clooney has denied pesky tabloid reports that Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie are plotting clandestine nuptials at his villa on Lake Como. "I would know," Clooney insisted at a recent press junket for his latest movie, 'Good Night, and Good Luck'. "And I can tell you there's not going to be a secret wedding."

October 3, 2005 - The New York Post reports Brad Pitt fired a pregnant employee from his production company because she dared speak out on behalf of his estranged wife, Jennifer Aniston. The 41-year-old actor was furious that Aniston's pal Kristin Hahn - an exec with Plan B (the film company he and Aniston, 36, founded in 2002) - told Vanity Fair it would be "beyond painful" for the actress to see Pitt and girlfriend Angelina Jolie, 30, have a baby together. An Us Weekly source claims Pitt "screamed" at Hahn, claiming she violated her contract by speaking about him without his approval - although Aniston had given hers. Hahn claims the departure was "amicable."

October 3, 2005 - Dylan Hartung, a 6 year old Australian boy who was diagnosed with Stage IV Neuroblastoma when he was 5 years old, got to meet Angelina Jolie on Tuesday (September 20). His website journal states: "Yes, Angelina Jolie came to fulfill Dylan's wish to meet her in person. We just can't believe it actually happened. Dylan sat by the window anxiously waiting for her to arrive and I waited out the front to greet her. Angelina came to the Ronald McDonald House and spent over an hour with a very excited Dylan. He spent the whole time being really relaxed and chatting to her at a million miles per hour, like he had known her forever."
