Born June 7th, 1981, Anna Kournikova has added a certain much needed pizzazz to a women's tennis game starving for attractive females. While Anna has yet to capture a major tournament, she has managed to capture the sex drives of many of her male fans.

She is definitely the most photographed athlete in sport, every move and scratch of the woman is captured on film. Even more interesting, Anna seems to play up to this fact by frequently wearing outfits that make one wonder if she had planned on visiting the beach rather than play a tennis tournament. The Rick Dees show recently ran a story highlighting the ego of Anna when they quoted her as saying "I'm like the most expensive item in the finest restaurant, people can look then they can wonder and dream about how it tastes. But when it comes down to it, they can't afford such an expensive luxury. I have marriage proposals from all over the world, boxes and boxes I can't even count. Maybe because my breasts are absolutely perfect. Unlike other women's mine are firm and bouncy and they don't sag or droop." Nevertheless, her sex appeal has won her countless endorsements and also the heart of an NHL athlete several years her elder, Sergei Federov. The relationship began at an age that would have sent Sergei in jail in many quarters of the globe (16 years old), but one hardly can criticize the man when its apparent every town she enters for a tournament, men of all ages gawk and stare at the tennis nymph. It should be noted though Anna has claimed to still be a virgin, but given the legal ramifications of her relationship with Federov, one can understand the denial of getting nude with the man.

The latest news on Anna is that Sergei is out of the picture, and several reports said that his game suffered because of it. And as Sergei dropped out of Anna's picture, in walked NHL rival Pavel Bure. Bure and Kournikova have lived in the same Miami condo complex and in just a few short months, the again much older Bure and Anna were a hot item. Pavel asked Anna to marry him and she supposedly accepted, but it appears the marriage was squashed as Anna says it isn't happening on her official site. This news was later denied by Anna and we now here that she's back with Sergei, so who knows! While it seemed to have helped Bure's game at the time, Anna still is showing little sign she'll ever take a Grand Slam as a singles player, though she's done quite well teaming with Martina Hingis.

Anna has played the game of tennis since the age of 5. By age 9, agents from the IMG had took notice and sent the young woman to the Nick Bollettieri Tennis Academy in Brandenton, Florida. At the age of 14, Anna stormed through the tennis scene with victories in the Rolex Orange Bowl Tournament, European Championships, and the Italian Open Juniors. She ended the year ranked as the number 1 ITF Junior World Champion. After the success in 1995, Anna turned pro in 1996 and pulled off two tournament wins. Anna's first major was the US Open where she survived up until the fourth round before succumbing to the eventual champion Steffi Graf. Despite a semi final showing in the 1997 Wimbledon Kournikova has yet to show the same talent that brought her so much success as a junior tennis player. Needless to say, plenty of her male fans will be cheering her in hopes for that elusive Grand Slam. Much of this male admiration though has come at the expense of the females she plays with disliking her. In her recent book Hidden Side of Women's Tennis, Nathalie Tauziat says of Anna "everybody in women's tennis hates Anna. Against her everybody plays their hardest so they can beat her and prove her looks are useless." She also goes on to say "I can speak without jealousy or nastiness, because I like her. She is fun and rather nice, even if she unfortunately does not show respect to everyone." So the jury is still out on how Anna is generally perceived by her peers.

April 23, 2007 - The New York Post reports Anna Kournikova yelled at a Miami Beach surfer and his sunbathing puppy, "That dog should be on a fu**ing leash!" The surfer snapped back, "Maybe you should be on a fu**ing leash!" Our source reports, "All the surfers and bystanders applauded and barked at Anna." Embarrassed, Kournikova walked around the corner, but "reappeared minutes later with three girlfriends who just stood there scowling."
