layoff from the tennis circuit is scheduled to end later this week as she'll
return for the $750,000 Acura Classic in San Diego. Anna said in a released
statement, "I am so excited to be back playing and competing every day.
I love playing tennis. This is what I do and I can't wait to get back on
the court."

Hingis now hate each other which caused their doubles break-up, 53.2% said
yes while 46.8% said no, with 444 total votes cast.

father is denying reports that her daughter and Sergei Federov recently
married. Sergei Kournikov told Reuters, "To be honest with you I am sick
and tired with the calls about her marriage, last year it was (Pavel) Bure,
now it's Fedorov."

reporting Sergei Federov and Anna Kournikova wed in a secret Moscow ceremony,
with a pal saying, "It was a very quiet ceremony — only both sets of parents
and Sergei’s brother attended."
July 22, 2001 - Anna Kournikova's
agent Phil De Picciotto tells Reuters there is no rush to get Anna back
on the tennis court saying, "She's only 20 years old and there's no reason
to start playing again before she's completely healthy. She does not want
to risk a recurrence of the injury."
