December 16, 2001 - Anna Kournikova upset #2 ranked Jennifer Capriati in an exhibition match Friday night at the Ice Palace 6-4, 7-5. Anna said afterwards, "I've beaten her before, but obviously she's playing much better now. I'm just real excited that I played well, that I used a lot of things that I've been working on."

December 6, 2001 - Craig Kilborn spoke with Get Real Detroit where he was asked if he preferred Anna Kournikova or Dido where he answered, " I like Dido; I think she's very gifted. November 12, 2001 - Anna Kournikova beat Amanda Coetzer 4-6, 6-3, 7-6 (6) victory Friday in an exhibition match but admitted it was a tough victory saying afterwards, "This was definitely one of the toughest games I've played since my comeback."
