December 29, 2003 - The Sun reports Enrique Iglesias has given his tennis star girlfriend Anna Kournikova a $88,000 friendship ring. "I believe in settling down but I don’t think you have to be married to someone to be in love with them," Iglesias said. "I just believe in being in love." As for reports linking him to other women, Enrique insisted, "I’ve read lots of stories about girls I’m supposed to have slept with and it’s just not true. December 15, 2003 - With reports that Anna Kournikova was dumped by Enrique Iglesias, Graham Hays of ESPN was able to track down the tennis babe's "diary". The most recent entry: "Mischa, Mischa, Mischa! I knew it. I can't believe he's leaving me for that little tramp from the O.C. He sat me down tonight and said, 'Anna, it's not me, it's you. You just don't do it for me anymore. This relationship just can't work when I'm adored by 16-year-old girls and you keep getting beaten by 16-year-old girls. It's embarrassing'."

December 15, 2003 - Enrique Iglesias tells Glamour magazine what he really likes in women, or at least tries to. "I like women who don't mind getting dirty - and I don't mean sexually," Iglesias said. "No, actually, sexually, too! I like them tough and up for anything, but feminine at the same time. I'm not saying I want a butch chick who's going to pick me up and kick my ass!" So how about your current flame, tennis loser-but-who-cares Anna Kournikova? December 7, 2003 - A source tells Us Weekly that Enrique Iglesias and Anna Kournikova have split. "I just got word that Enrique broke up with Anna," the source said. But a pal stressed that the break-up isn't something to take too seriously just yet. "They break up all the tim," the friend explained. "They could be back together by the time (the magazine) comes out."
