April 22, 2000 - Some highlights
from Anna's Yahoo chat April 10. She might believe in aliens. She also
said she likes the band Bush, her favorite song being Machine Head (I agree!).
About her rumors of dating athletes, she says "All I can say is that I
have a lot of friends and if I'm going to dinner or something, it doesn't
mean that I'm going with someone." She ended the chat by saying "Have fun
and believe only my web page!"

22, 2000 - The latest rumor going around is that Anna has dumped Pavel
and returned to Sergei.
April 22, 2000 - For those
that don't know, Anna has an official club on Yahoo where her screen name
is "ad_anna". She answers questions on their on occasion
April 22, 2000 - Anna again
loses, this time to Ruxandra Dragomir of Romania, 6-7 (2-7), 6-3, 6-3,
at Hilton Head.
April 15, 2000 - eBay has
an incredibly sexy picture of Anna that is also autographed for auction.
The 8x10 (item 307389221) is currently bid at $13.50 and ends April 19.
April 15, 2000 - Anna loses
to Argentina's Paola Suarez 2-6, 6-2, 6-4 Saturday in the quarterfinals
of the Bausch & Lomb Championships. She told reporters afterwards "I
was probably playing too defensive in that second set. She kept a lot of
her shots low, so it was tough to come to the net on her."
April 13, 2000 - After losing
to Anna at Amelia Island, Nicole Pratt says Anna has a chance to win a
WTA match, saying "It's a consistency thing with Anna. Ultimately, she
gets beaten because she always goes for shots. If you're going to do that,
you got to really be on your game. I think she's learning to hold back
and stay within herself more. If she does that, it won't be too long before
she wins a tournament."
April 9, 2000 - Those depressed
after hearing Anna and Pavel were going to get married now can celebrate
as there appears to be no wedding any time soon. Anna said on her official
site, kournikova.com "I never said I was engaged or was planning to get
married, because I have no such plans" adding "It is hard for me to understand
that some people believe everything they see in the media, and I should
have said something sooner."
April 9, 2000 - eBay has
an incredibly hot picture of Anna up for auction. The 8x10 photo, item
304314664, currently is bid at $7. The auction ends April 15.
April 4, 2000 - British Anna
fans are in for a good show as she'll be doing bra ads for Berlei Shock
Absorber bra as part of a 7 year contract, which sports the slogan "Only
the ball should bounce." Anna is quoted as saying about the bra "Knowing
that I'm wearing the best sports equipment allows me to concentrate and
focus on my game ... My bra is invaluable to me." [hopefully these ads
will make their way to the web!]
April 1, 2000 - We're getting
conflicting reports on the March 19th AA incident, as the London Sun is
reporting that FBI officials are deciding what action to take against Anna
which could include a ban from U.S. airlines, which would obviously be
devastating to her tennis career.
April 1, 2000 - Anna Kournikova
will be chatting live on Yahoo! chat April 10th at 7PM Eastern time. Hopefully
she'll address the whole Bure situation, we'll let you know.
