perhaps blew her best chance at winning a tournament as she was upset Saturday
by Bulgaria's Magdalena Maleeva 6-2, 6-4 in the semifinals of the WTA SEAT
Open.

23, 2000 - Adding to those commenting on Kournikova is Martina Navratilova,
who was quoted in September on Anna, saying "I don't think winning and
losing matters that much to her." Navratilova feels all the money Anna
makes outside of tennis weekens her motivation.
September 23, 2000 - Anna
has a great chance of finally breaking the drought of not winning a WTA
title since turning pro. She'll be at the Luxembourg Open and will be the
#2 seed. Venus, Serena, Lindsay Davenport and Monica Seles will be at the
Olympics. Anna seems at odds with the Russian Federation and skipped the
trip to Australia.

took the week off to launch Omega's new Constellation Carre range of ladies'
watches in London.

survey of web users found Anna Kournikova to be "most clickable female",
beating out Liz Hurley, ironically.

Walls reports Anna is livid about her fake nude pictures appearing on the
internet and that people are making money off of them. A source says the
tennis player’s agent has retained a lawyer and is preparing to sue.

Justine Henin's wicked backhand was too much for Anna, as she lost in straight
sets 6-4 7-6. After the match, Anna called the loss "Disappointing" and
was upset when asked if any outside interests distracted her snapping "I
don't have any. I don't have any. I don't have any."

Letterman continually is using clips of Anna for the Late Show Anna Kournikova
play of the day, running about a half dozen Friday, none of which involved
Anna actually 'playing' tennis. He says she'll be on the show soon.
