June 25, 2006 - The New York Post reports that $4 million Angelina Jolie collected from Time Warner's People magazine for her pictures of baby Shiloh had nothing to do with how Anderson Cooper landed her first post-partum TV interview for Time Warner's CNN. Although the Druge and Jossip.com claimed "his 'exclusive' was included in the $4 million," Cooper's executive producer, David Doss, responded, "That couldn't be further from the truth. They [Brad Pitt and Jolie] decided to do one interview on World Refugee Day, and they are big fans of Anderson and what Anderson has been doing in Africa." Doss says that when he was offered the interview, his reaction was, "Are you kidding me? You're just dropping this in my lap?"

June 13, 2006 - The New York Daily News reports celebrity photo agency heads estimated the photos of Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie's new baby could fetch $3.5 million to $8 million through worldwide print and TV distribution. That would make the snaps of Shiloh Nouvel Jolie-Pitt, which were taken at her parents' fortified hideaway in the remote African nation of Namibia, possibly the most expensive baby pictures of all time. June 13, 2006 - The New York Post reports all the weekly magazine editors were summoned to the offices of the Getty photo agency at Canal and Varick late Saturday night to bid on Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt's baby pictures. "We were sequestered into separate and un-air-conditioned offices," said one. "The photos were shown to us around 10 p.m. to midnight, and then we had to submit bids by 6 a.m. Sunday morning. No one got any sleep at all, as it was a manic game of phone-tag to top each other's bids. I'm convinced it was Brangie's revenge on the weekly magazines." The pictures went to People for $4.1 million.

"Angelina underwent a scheduled cesarean due to breech presentation," Dr. Rothbart tells People magazine. "The baby was a healthy 7 lbs. Brad was with Angelina in the operating room the entire time and cut the umbilical cord of his daughter. The surgery and birth went flawlessly. The staff, nurses and doctors I worked with at the Cottage Medi-Clinic Hospital were amazing, it was a team effort." Read more.
