June 27, 2001 - MTVasia.com reports Britney Spears has recorded an as-yet-untitled dance number and another tune called Before The Goodbye with the help of producer BT. BT revealed the mix of R&B and house has people impressed saying, "Everyone we've played it for is like, 'This is so crazy that it might just be amazing.'"

June 27, 2001 - Worldpop reports Britney Spears What Friends Are For co-star Taryn Manning is impressed with Britney's acting ability. Manning revealed, "I was a little skeptical myself at first. Then I read the script and auditioned with her and she blew my mind with her acting. She has it...it's within her. It's natural and she's fun to be with."

June 26, 2001 - The Sun's Dominic Mohan reports Beyonce of Destiny's Child has admitted to locking lips with Justin Timberlake BEFORE he started dating Britney. Beyonce admitted, "He's adorable - I am a big fan. He's a good kisser, too. don't get the wrong idea. It was once at a party. He's doing his thing with Britney now."

June 24, 2001 - Britney, brother Bryan, and mother Lynne were pictured in EW at Planet Hollywood in New York celebrating the birthday of Bryan's girlfriend.

June 23, 2001 - Bryce Durand talked to Bop magazine about his kissing scenes with Britney in Don't Let Me Be the Last to Know saying, "She's a really good kisser. It was easy, and I always felt she was very relaxed." Durand added, "I expected a diva."

June 22, 2001 - Kramer from the Kramer & Twitch show was briefly interviewed by eYada.com's Dan & Scott, where he basically said the two got permission from management to run the fake story but were then later fired. Listen to Thursday's show about 20 minutes in to hear them talk about the ordeal.

June 22, 2001 - Popbitch.com reports the following quote from Britney Spears, "If I was an animal I'd probably be a puppy dog."

June 22, 2001 - The Toronto Sun's Jane Stevenson talked to Justin Timberlake about the false report that had him in a coma and Britney Spears dead after a car accident. Justin says "I know the first thing I did was call Britney because I was, like, 'Well maybe it got twisted, maybe something did happen to her.'" Read more.

June 21, 2001 - Mandy Moore responded to Ella Hooper of Killing Heidi who criticized top US female singers saying, "Those girls - the Britneys and the Christinas and the Jessica Simpsons anmd the Mandy Moores - are so unreal. June 21, 2001 - Worldpop reports Britney's mother Lynne apparently spent an anguished night thinking her daughter had died in a car crash causing the DJ's Kramer and Twitch to write both Britney and Lynne a letter of apology.

June 21, 2001 - The Chicago Sun Time's Bill Zwecker reports *NSYNC were spotted clubbing all over Chicago over the weekend, where Britney Spears also came to town to spend time with Justin. He ads there was a 'testy scene' between Justin and a couple of bandmates over a woman they were vying for at the nightclub Kustom.

June 20, 2001 - The Dallas Morning News reports KEGL-FM DJ's Kramer & Twitch have been fired following the Britney and Justin fatal car accident story the two made up. It apparently was the final straw in a string of controversial stunts pulled by the pair. Read more.

June 20, 2001 - NME.com reports Justin Timberlake and Britney Spears are planning to move away from teen pop towards an older market and they are also set to collaborate musically on Britney 's new album. Read more.

June 20, 2001 - Worldpop reports Britney Spears will make a cameo appearance in a new video from country singer called Kirsty Lee, the first signing to Britney's new production company.

June 20, 2001 - Louis B. Hobson profiled Mandy Moore for the Calgary Sun where she revealed "Jessica and I are the absolute best friends. I have her cellphone number and we talk all the time." Moore also conceded, "Jessica and I aren't in the same league as Britney and Christina so the idea of rivalry and competition doesn't even enter the equation. They are the superstars. June 20, 2001 - Christina Aguilera's popularity appears to be waning as the singer dropped out of the Lycos top 50 searches this week while rival Britney Spears remained near the top at #4.

June 19, 2001 - Entertainment Tonight talked to Britney Spears after she introduced the Backstreet Boys at Wango Tango. Britney said, "It was fun. Yeah."

June 17, 2001 - Jessica Simpson reportedly made some negative remarks about her female peers to CNN at the charity Gala Dinner honoring Jackie Keneddy. Simpson reportedly gushed about Jackie O saying, "Jackie Kennedy is very sophisticated, and I'm trying trying to be more like that. I don't want to go overboard, I think people like Britney, Christina, and Mariah Carey are overdoing it, but with me it's all about the beauty of the body!"

June 17, 2001 - Britney Spears was photographed backstage at Wango Tango on Saturday in Los Angeles. Britney introduced the Backstreet Boys at the two day show.

June 17, 2001 - Britney Spears is featured in an autographed photo auction on ebay. The picture, item 1438114667, is bid at $31.00 and the auction ends tomorrow.

June 16, 2001 - Since I mentioned the Destiny's Child fiasco the other night, MTVasia.com has further reports as to what the group was thinking to wear Lakers garb during their performance. Mark McGrath was much wiser Friday kissing Philly and owner Pat Croce's butt, though perhaps the LA band didn't didn't make a much better choice by singing 'When It's Over' to the town facing NBA Final's elimination. June 16, 2001 - Jive Records is considering suing Kramer and Twitch following the shock jock's rumor that Britney Spears and Justin Timberlake had been involved in a fatal car crash.

June 16, 2001 - *NSYNC and Britney Spears appearance with Michael Jackson at Madison Square Garden may be in jeopardy, according to Foxnews.com. Read more, including exciting comments on Jackson's well received new album.

June 15, 2001 - NME.com reports the BBC website has tracked down the fake internet report of Britney and Justin's car accident and has had the page removed. A spokesperson said, "We want some redress, as we do take this sort of thing very, very seriously. We're currently talking to our solicitors." The BBC website is configured so that addresses ending with @ followed by an IP would redirect to that site, causing confusion that BBC was actually the source.

June 15, 2001 - Popbitch.com reports Britney has been suffering from skin problems - leading some of her unsympathetic assistants to refer to her as "Zitney."

June 14, 2001 - Access Hollywood reports Vogue and Harper's Bazaar are in a battle over who will get Britney in an upcoming cover issue, likely the month her next album is released.

June 14, 2001 - Beyonce Knowles Michelle Williams of Destiny's Child took a cue from Britney Spears' halftime performance in the Super Bowl by wearning an arm sock during the group's halftime performance in game 4 of the NBA Finals in Philadelphia Wednesday night. The notoriously hostile Philly crowd booed the group loudly following the performance, as Williams committed the deadly error of wearing Lakers' clothing during the performance.

June 14, 2001 - Thanks AllieBomb. Twist magazine is reporting some say that Britney is attempting to soften her sexy image and go back to being the girl next door for her third album.

June 14, 2001 - Radio station KEGL in Dallas "joked" that Britney Spears and Just Timberlake died in a car accident Tuesday night, setting off an international flurry of rumors. Read more.

June 14, 2001 - Melissa Etheridge talked to Rolling Stone for July's issue and when asked about her preference of Britney or Christina, she said "I love Christina's voice. But I kind of dig Britney's whole thing," adding "If a video of [Christina's] came on, I'm not that interested in watching it, whereas I will stop in the room and watch a Britney video." The lesbian artist apparently implied she finds Britney more attractive.

June 14, 2001 - TVGuide.com reports BBC is producing a documentary on Madonna wear Britney Spears will talk about her idol, though Madonna herself won't be in the special.

June 9, 2001 - Eminem is blasting Britney Spears in a sexually charged song entitled Ain't Nuttin But Music, which is featured in the new D12 album. The lyrics can be found here while the song can be downloaded on AudioGalaxy.com.

June 8, 2001 - Conan O'Brien during his Thursday monologue joked, "According to the New York Post -- they're never wrong -- Britney Spears has been suffering from a bad case of acne lately, and her face is all broken out. Yeah, luckily for Britney, no one's looked at her face in over four years."

June 7, 2001 - Pagesix.com is reporting Britney Spears has shocked neighbors in her and brother Bryan's New York apartment by her blemished appearance. "She has bad acne," said one neighbor. The neighbors are also upset that Bryan and his mother Lynne refuse to acknowledge anyone else in the building, even when they're in the same elevator. Read more. June 7, 2001 - The Sunbabies have created a techno song out of Britney's Rock In Rio swearing incident which apparently has gotten the attention of her lawyers. June 7, 2001 - NME.com reports Kid Rock called Britney Spears a 'hooker' during a show in London on Tuesday while also critcizing her, Christina Aguilera, and the Backstreet Boys for trite pop and suggesting they should all "kiss my ass". Read more.

June 5, 2001 - US Weekly reports Britney Spears is endorsing a Britney Wash cleanser after facialist to the stars Sonya Dakar created the potion that cleared her breakouts in a week. The 4 ounce bottle costs $39 at Dakar's West Hollywood clinic.

June 2, 2001 - The New York Post reports Britney and Justin were spotted taking in a 10:15 showing of "Moulin Rouge" at the Ziegfeld with two beefy bodyguards, as the power couple griped about having to make do with "general seating."

June 2, 2001 - In an abstracts.net poll asking if you would work as Britney's personal assistant for free, 71.9% said yes while 28.1% said no, with 3122 total votes.

June 1, 2001 - The Village Voice's Michael Musto ran a slew of blind items last Friday with one asking, "What male singer likes to have that female singer finger his a**, proof that he must be straight, right?" June 1, 2001 - The New York Daily News reports Britney Spears and Justin Timberlake skipped out on a $600 tab at the club Float in New York on Friday, according to a source, who also added the two "were all over each other". Joey Fatone ended up paying for part of the bill but said, "I didn't drink all the drinks."

June 1, 2001 - Britney's next Pepsi duty will be appearing race grand marshal at the annual Pepsi-sponsored 400 NASCAR Winston Cup Series at Daytona Beach, Florida, on July 7 - before 200,000 fans at the Daytona International Speedway.
