July 31, 2001 - Autograph Collector magazine has ranked Britney Spears as one of the meanest stars when it comes to signing autographs. July 28, 2001 - Wade Robson commented on work Britney is doing on her upcoming album saying,  "We've got this one song that's this rock kind of opera thing. It's almost got this classical vibe, almost like Queen redone. And we've got another one that's kind of more vibey R&B." Read more.

July 28, 2001 - The New York Post's Cindy Adams had several pieces of trivia in her column Friday including "Reese Witherspoon admits to 'a little crush' on Britney Spears."

July 28, 2001 - In an abstracts.net poll asking if you thought Britney is making a mistake by responding to questions concerning drinking and sex, 39.3% said yes while the majority, 60.7% said no, with 1638 total votes cast.

July 28, 2001 - The New York Daily News reports Britney Spears claim that designer Bob Mackie would provide gowns for her upcoming HBO special with Cher is news to Mackie. Mackie's rep was contacted afterwards about it but he still hasn't decided if he'll do it.

July 28, 2001 - The Star reports Britney Spears appears to be packing on pounds recently and insiders say she's "eating her heart out." The same insiders say her relationship with Justin is on the outs as well.

July 28, 2001 - A national survey of teenagers released Friday found that Freddy Prinze Jr. and Britney Spears top the charts when it comes to rating which celebrities have the 'best smile.' Also in the running on the guy's side, Josh Harnett, Heath Ledger, and Chris Klein; singers Justin Timberlake, Sisqo. On the gal's side, Christina Aguilera, Brandy, Beyonce Knowles, and Mandy Moore, Tara Reid and Sarah Michelle Gellar trailed Britney. July 27, 2001 - The Scottish Daily Record reports Britney Spears has added a tattoo  “spiritual message” of Chinese letters located "below the waist."

July 27, 2001 - Justin Timberlake talked to Rolling Stone about doing a duet with Britney saying, "I want it to be something new that they haven't heard us do, that they didn't think we could do," he tells the magazine. It definitely would be a spectacle - it would be huge."

July 26, 2001 - MTVasia.com reports Britney's Spears' spokeswoman has denied reports that she's suffering from nervous exhaustion. The spokesperson revealed, "Britney isn't suffering from nervous exhaustion. She just checked into a health farm in L.A. with her mum Lynne for a few days rest -- massages, sauna, manicure, that type of thing. She just needs to recuperate and recharge her batteries, but there's nothing wrong with her."

July 26, 2001 - Ananova reports Britney Spears has come under fire from the RSPCA for selling her family pets along with her house. We hear Britney's dad has put the old house up for sale at a staggering $1.5 million. Read more.

July 25, 2001 - The Sunday Mail reports Britney Spears plagued Madonna's office with phone calls that went unreturned and then sent her a film script asking if she'd play her character’s alcoholic mother, all after Madonna wore the Britney shirt in concert.

July 24, 2001 - Lynne Spears reveals in the August issue of Bop  magazine, "Some mothers worry about their kids doing drugs. But  I'm worried Britney will be bald before she's 20. I'm so tired of putting all those rinses in her hair."

July 24, 2001 - News.com.au quotes Britney Spears commenting on  reports of her death being greatly exaggerated saying, "Someone  started a sick rumour that I'd been killed. I rarely get mad, but  I did then."

July 24, 2001 - The New York Daily News reports Justin Timberlake  said of girlfriend Britney Spears, "Outside of my mother, I've  never been so impressed by how big [someone's] heart is. I see  the side of her that others don't see. To be picked on as much as  she is...I see her get hurt by what's said, and she still goes  out there without really thinking about it."

July 24, 2001 - Justin Timberlake wrote a special message to  Britney "Pinky" Spears on the Celebrity album sleeve stating,  "Pinky - I love you more and more each day and if all this  stopped tomorrow I would be OK knowing that you would be by my  side no matter what. I can't breathe without you. Don't ever  forget that."

July 22, 2001 - A pair of autographed Britney Spears photos are up for bids on ebay. They both are concert pictures, items 1448032659 and 1448172767 which are both unbid at $29.95 with one ending July 24th, the other on the 25th.

July 21, 2001 - Alan Light, editor in chief of Spin tells USA Today. "Superstars like *NSYNC and Backstreet and Britney and Christina (Aguilera) can still sell records, but they'll face a challenge even if their sales start to dip a little - if there's any sense that they've peaked." Read more.

Britney appears on the cover of A German publication from the mag's April 2001 issue, item 1446706810, bid at $13.00 and ending today. The other is from the August 2001 Arena mag, item 1446004363, unbid at $5.90 and ending July 20th.

July 13, 2001 - The Sun reports Britney Spears traveled 1,200 miles to visit an ailing Justin after he injured his ankle.

July 10, 2001 - In a case of too much information, Britney Spear's movie co-star Justin Long revealed he wore a jockstrap during a scene wear Britney stripped in front of him. Read more.

July 9, 2001 - The Orlando Sentinel reports Justin Timberlake and Lance Bass were with Britney for the Pepsi 400 race Saturday where an onlooker revealed, "Britney looked bored." Edwin McCain, who performed the National Anthem before Britney said, "Gentlemen, start your engines" slammed Britney saying, "She's no musician. She's a pop star." McCain added, "Six months before they invented her. They told me she would be a major star. I guess they were right." Read more.
