30, 2002 - The Mirror reports Mariah Carey is in a battle with Britney
Spears for New England Patriots' quarterback Tom Brady. Mariah came on
to Brady at a party she threw for her cousin in Boston, while Britney Spears
has told organizers to make sure he has a backstage pass when her tour
hits Boston. A source revealed, "Word is Britney pines to have face time
with the man of the moment and she's gone out of her way to make sure they

Hayden of Steppin Out magazine. Kelly talked about how didn't believe Britney
Spears virgin claims, saying "I think it's absolute bollocks that Britney
Spears isn't having sex with Justin. For fu**'s sake, look at him! He's
a gorgeous teen idol and she's fu**ing gorgeous! Of course they're fu**ing
humping! How are they not?" As for her personal feelings for Timberlake,
she said, "I used to have the hugest attraction to him when I was little!
I thought he was gorgeous. But you take another look and yes, he's a good-looking
man, but I think it's the whole idea that he's in a boy band and he sings.

Spears filled out a questionnaire in the new issue of Twist magazine about
the same time that reports surfaced of her breakup with *NSYNC's Justin
Timberlake. She writes "my mind is good, but my heart is broken." She reveals
that justin was her first kiss and says the best thing about him is "he
always makes me laugh." But for the first time she hints at what drove
them apart saying the worst thing about Justin is "he never has time for
me."

of the Chicago Sun-Times reports that sources close to *NSYNC star Justin
TImberlake say he's very smitten by Destiny's Child 'middle one' Beyonce
Knowles. Justin's rep laughed off the report saying he's "not very" serious
about his crush with Beyonce. Some have speculated that his one-sided fascination
with Knowles that was the final straw that broke the back of his long romance
with Britney Spears. Meanwhile, Britney's relationship with cheorographer
and dancer Brian Friedman is said to be developing, "It's in the early

Spears' mother Lynne added a bit to her post about son Bryan Spears crossing
out 'Hunky Heartthrob' and replacing it with 'Good Sport'. Lynne added
to the beginning of her original post, "I just want to say thank you to
my son Bryan for being such a good sport. You’re the king of pranks, and
every now and then, we all like to have a little fun getting back at you.
Hope you didn’t take this Lynne’s Corner entry the wrong way. For the record,
I think you’re the most handsome 25-year-old in the world… but I guess

of the New York Post quotes Britney Spears talking about her 'Austin Powers
in Goldmember' role as herself - which has Spears and her backup dancers
dodge the zany antics of Mike Myers and his backup dancers. Spears says,

mine against Mike and his - it became a battle of the dancers! It was all
so 'West Side Story.'"

of Parade magazine was quizzed by a read on why so many pop stars like
Christina Aguilera grab their crotch while performing. Scott spoke with
choreographer Dan Karaty, who employs the move in *NSYNC's tours. Karaty
said, "It's really not meant as a sexual gesture. It's more of a power
move picked up by Michael jackson for his Thriller routine and later by
Madonna." Still, not everyone is sold on the move, including Britney Spears:
"She doesn't think it fits her girly style."
April 23, 2002 - Lynne Spears
posted a new update on Friday to mark the 25th birthday of her son Bryan.
Lynne gushed about her "hunky heartthrob" after the New York Post gave
him that moniker saying, "I suspect he loves the title. Don’t get me wrong,
I would never say one of my children is vain, but as anyone in my family
will tell you, Bryan likes to look good." Lynne adds, "Ever since Britney
and I have been on a health kick, Bryan seems to have stepped up his own
routine, sometimes working out in the morning and even at night! He’s quite
the 'hunk.'" Still, Lynne isn't on a push to bring her son into the spotlight
insisting. "Although Bryan isn’t interested in being in the spotlight or

On the stage there is more energy and instant gratification from the audience.

provided women with tips on how to get the perfect smoky eyed look. The
singer's makeup artist, Karan Mitchell, says she first uses a flat brush
to line the entire eye with mahogany shadow from Christian Dior's 5-Colour
Eyeshadow - The Browns. Then, she applies a series of Chanel Stellaires
Quadra eyeshadows: gold shadow on the brow bone, rose shadow on the inside
corners of her lids and berry on the outside corners (all used with a sopping-wet
eye brush). Her lashes are then curled and coated twice with L'Oreal Voluminous
Mascara in Black.

Pops reports Britney Spears was said to have given an angry look after
a plastic bottle was lobbed at her at Thursday's 'Crossroads' premiere
in Sydney. The bottle landed right on Britney's head as she was posing
for photographs. Spears refused comment on the incident before being escorted
into the cinema.

spoke with Avril Lavigne of Ontario who is currently prepping her debut
album on Arista Records. When asked for her comments on fellow female musician
Britney Spears, Avril blasted, "I mean, the way she dresses — would you

where she delighted hundreds of holidaying schoolchildren by stopping to
greet them and sign autographs during her visit. Spears later did some

hitting a private cocktail party at inner-city wine bar Banc for record
company types and her entourage.

the Fox Studios on Thursday in Sydney. One pair of fans were vacationing
from Boston - though didn't make the trip just to see Spears. One of the
two, Jessica Perrone said, "I feel she's not as big here as back home.
In Boston, you wouldn't be able to get into this entire place. We've got

Sun reports during Hot 30's interview with Britney Spears Thursday night,
the singer's bodyguards moved in on local swimming ace Ian Thorpe after
he attempted to question Spears on the crowd backlash at last month's London
premiere of 'Crossroads.' Still, Spears herself told Thorpe, "I think you're
really sweet." Meanwhile, there was some criticism of Britney's short set
at Sydney's Fox Studios. One of the 5,000 in the crowd, 16 year-old Eleni

radio station Z95.7 reports Aerosmith frontman Steven Tyler was shopping
recently at Los Angeles boutique Nude when he spotted a poster of Britney
Spears in one of the store's specialty outfits. After seeing Britney's
outfit, he reportedly exclaimed, "I want those pants!" Tyler was then fitted
with a female size medium pair of the pants - which fit him perfectly.

Michael Lewittes did speak with a friend of the pair who revealed of Justin
and dancer Jenna Dewan's budding relationship, "During the two days of
rehearsals [before the February 27 Grammy awards], they ate together and
really got to talk." The pal also added that Dewan "often flies to see

have taken herself. Fox said, "I should have learned how to write my own

tracks and start to mature, otherwise after five years she'll be looking

Mavrix photo trying to profiteer from their what some might call 'sleazy
photo shoot' of Britney Spears in Miami weren't very sophisticated in creating
the purchase and download site. Britney is pictured cheerfully singing
fan autographs while dealing with her life in a fishbowl existance. Britney
tells the cameraman, "You are a real class act brother! You are a class
act. You know that?" Then, Britney's friend begs her to stop the videotaping.
After they left the beach, Britney said to the cameraman, "This is sad

People reports Britney Spears has been making tearful phonecalls to Justin
Timberlake begging him to get back with her. A source told the British
tabloid, "Every time Justin talks to her on the phone it degenerates into
tears and arguments. The problem is Britney thinks the solution is quite
easy. She wants to get back together but I think Justin feels it is a bit

Spears fan site BSUWeb.com is reporting that New York's top pop station,
Z100, is refusing to air Britney Spears' latest single 'Overprotected'.
The site is urging fans to call and email the station urging them to play
the song and lift the blacklist. Apparently this is a continued step to
punish Spears for not using Clear Channel as her tour promoter. An LA Times
story from February reports Rep. Howard L. Berman urged the Justice Department
and the Federal Communications Commission to probe the situation. Read

Tonight spoke with Lance Bass of *NSYNC outside of the premiere of 'The
Sweetest Thing' in New York on Monday night. Lance was asked about the
status of his bandmate Justin Timberlake and girlfriend Britney Spears,
and seemed to echo earlier comments made by Justin's mom Lynn that the
pair have hit a rough spot. Lance said, "Oh, Justin's fine. He's -- they're
all good, you know. Relationships, in good times, bad times, we'll see
how this one works out."
April 10, 2002 - The Tacoma
News Tribune has more details on the rumored Justin Timberlake call to
girlfriend Britney Spears to drop their romance the day of the *NSYNC show
at the Tacoma Dome. Ernest A. Jasmin reports, as we've earlier indicated,
that Britney Spears did in fact attend the show, according to Tacoma Dome
staff. Britney was also spotted backstage and in the audience throughout

April 10, 2002 - Actress,
comedian, and cult figure of sorts Janeane Garofalo was on Last Call with
Carson Daly on early Tuesday morning, where she discussed her thoughts
on pop music. Garofalo is no fan of what currently is passing for pop music,
including *NSYNC, Backstreet Boys, and Britney Spears on her list, which
she tied to the corporate controlled radio and television interests that
are "complicit in the dumbing down of the tastes of Americans." Read on

South Africa's Top Forty magazine spoke with Pink about the lyrics in her
new cut 'Don't Let Me Get Me', which she talks about being tired of Britney
Spears comparisons. Pink said, "I've met Britney. She's really, really
sweet. She's probably the sweetest girl I've ever met in my life. But every
interview I would sit down, or just anywhere, really, and they'd be like,
'Well, how do you compare yourself to Britney and Jessica and Christina?'
And I'm just thinking to myself that [they're asking this] just because
we're the same age, or girls, young white girls singing pop music or whatever
we do. But we're all different. And we all get our own respect." She later

Sams of Teen Hollywood reports during Britney Spears' appearance in Sydney
on April 18, the singer will make more of an effort to reach out to fans.
A music insider revealed, "Because of what happened in London, it makes
sense for her to try to rectify things. Her American management are yet
to confirm it publicly, but they're looking at the Sydney appearance as

of Entertainment Weekly spoke with BT (born Brian Transeau) about the tracks
he produced for Britney Spears' last album 'Britney', but weren't used
on the American version of the album. BT responded to the report that had
Britney telling reporters his tracks were ''not good enough'' saying, "I
don't know what the hell that was all about. I saw that [comment], but
I find it totally hard to believe that she said that. Because we're totally
cool -- I see her and stuff and we hang out.'' BT says Spears told him
that she was misquoted. ''That's come up and she's like, I didn't say that,

Walls of MSNBC reports Britney Spears was again spotted smoking, this time
at Joseph’s in Los Angeles - the same spot she reportedly danced with Mandy
Moore and Christina Aguilera. Onlookers spotted Britney, or someone looking
exactly like her, puffing on Marlboro Lights. Spears' publicist didn't
respond to the MSNBC report.
April 5, 2002 - Y-100 has
more graphic details on why Britney Spears and *NSYNC's Justin Timberlake
split recently. The primary reason given was Britney's reluctance to have
sex with Justin before marriage and her flaunting of her sexuality, left
Justin sexually frustrated. Somehow the report managed to get a spokesperson
for Spears to comment on the item, saying Britney was 'serviced' in other

reports Britney Spears will be headed to Mexico City in July as part of
a concert tour for her latest album, and to promote 'Crossroads.' Britney

divorce of Jeff and Brooke Gordon. The hosts say they split because Gordon

spoke with Justin Timberlake's grandmother Sadie Bomar who insists while
Justin and Britney Spears had a nasty blowup, they are still together.
Bomar said, "Just before Justin went on tour, they had a big fight. Britney

but she has to understand that Justin has to work and so does she. Britney
was upset, but it's not that big a thing. They argue all the time about

Daily News reports the Los Angeles club Joseph's became the meeting spot
for the top three pop tarts as Britney Spears, Christina Aguilera, and
Mandy Moore hit the dance floor together. The trio seemed to get along
well though other guests at the club may not have been happy to get the
boot from their respective bodyguards.

chimed in on the Britney Spears and Justin Timberlake of *NSYNC are they
still dating or not buzz, where they spoke with Spears' publicist Sonia
Marco who refused to answer questions about her personal life but said,
"everything is well". As for the rumors of their split, she said, "They

News Network reports Britney Spears got 'starstruck' by DJ Scribble in
Miami. Spears was at a beach bash in the city when she ran up to Scribble
and hugged him saying, "I'm a huge fan. I love the music you play." Uhh..

3AM reports Britney Spears has revealed in a recent TV appearance how she
manages to achieve her fantastic figure. Britney said, "On average I guess
I do up to 500 sit-ups a session. But if you catch me on a good day, then
I can do up to 1,000. You have to do the work if you are touring or shooting
a video. I can honestly say that I really enjoy doing my work outs. Some
people find it a real chore, but I really genuinely love it."

debated the latest photos of Britney Spears sunbathing topless on a yacht
in Miami. They spent much of the time speaking out against the tabloids
and paparazzi though Lisa Ling claimed it comes with the territory for
someone like Britney, who is the 'biggest star in the world'. Read on for

Press reports the family of Susan Santodonato is suing WMRV-FM of Endville,
N.Y. and its parent companies for $1.2 billion over a fake Britney Spears
appearance that they claim led to the death of their daughter in June 2000.
The 11 year old Santodonato died the day after she fell in the station's
parking lot trying to catch a glimpse of the phony Britney. The station's
parent company has not commented on the suit. Read more.

I was in New York and I went to Britney Spears' new restaurant in Manhattan
and I ordered -- true story. It's the premise of the joke, people. True

owner of the Dylan Hotel and a partner in the restaurant, told The New
York Times why he made the move to close Virot, an upscale French restaurant
and replace it with the Britney Spears owned American bistro in midtown
Manhattan called Nyla. Moinian said, "Virot didn't have the hipness I was
looking for. Right now we have the ultimate celebrity associated as a partner

Walls spoke with insiders who are being critical of Lynne Spears revelation
that her and her daughters are going on an anti-cancer diet and fitness
program that by usual definition would be giving up sugary drinks like
Pepsi as well as junk foods the company makes under its Frito-Lay division.
A critic fumed, "For years, Britney has preached modesty and virginity,
then dressed provocatively. So this seems to be another case of her not

Daily News reports Britney Spears and a posse of eight friends hit an outdoor
bash at Opium, thrown by N.Y.'s Lotus Club owners Jeffrey Jah and Mark
Baker. Britney danced with friends of both sexes while accepting complimentary
drinks from hopeful males at the hangout... She was said to have even given
one her phone number before leaving.
April 1, 2002 - The Sun has
photos of Britney Spears on the beach of Miami where she seemed in a happy
mood. An onlooker revealed, "Some fans approached and she signed autographs.
It was amazing to see her on the beach soaking up the rays with everyone
