I am not even willing to see that pop whore appear on the show as a corpse!
We don't need her ruining one of the best shows on TV! She cannot act or
sing. She is pathetic. Keep her away from BtVS. Go here

of Lexington High School submitted an editorial to StudentDiscourse.com
focusing on Britney Spears former dual identity. Rosenberg writes, "Whether
she is aware of it or not, Ms. Spears once seemed like the polar opposite
of a feminist. Her performances sold her body more than her songs. Her
lyrics sometimes seemed to speak of sexual violence and domination-'Hit
me, baby'? 'I'm a Slave 4 U'? Often, Ms. Spears seemed the perfect product
of the majority-male music industry, an eminently purchase-able fantasy.
Her public claims of virginity only bolstered this impression-her innocence
gave her a fascinating power, suggested an untapped sexual potential that
was ready to be exploited." Read more.

... gosh, I guess it's just because it's the obvious choice, it's the easy

it on her youth and inexperience when compared with stars with more life

without flames licking the ceiling or electronic gimmicks out of a Hollywood
special effects spectacle. Spears is a recording artist. She had a live
microphone at center stage and, in the process of saying that the show
had to be canceled, what she should have done was step forward — and sing."

her music to new audiences, though some of them might get scared in the
process. "Since it's kids and teen-agers, it's like their big night out
and they come early, and we're playing to full houses," she said. "I think
we scare a lot of them. We are not a pop band to say the least. They're
going there to see dancing and costume changes, and we come out and actually
play everything and sing." Read more.

Arena earlier this week. Read more.

Wednesday night at the America West Arena in Phoenix. Rodgers said of the
show, "This concert was all about entertainment -- the kind you see on

in the audience simply stood and watched the Britney spectacle (which is
certainly a thing to behold). Few were actually dancing or moving to the
music, because that was a secondary consideration." Read more.
June 14, 2002 - A fan on
BritneyForums.com was at the Britney Spears concert in Phoenix last night,

bungie jump down from an elevated perch, so they had to get a ladder to
get her down. The show stopped for a few minutes while they got her down.
Meanwhile, opening act Nikka Costa raised the eyebrows of parents in the
audience when she asked how are all the bit**es. Nikka told the parents
to chill because she cursed.

June 13, 2002 - The Financial
Times has more of a business-side perspective of the decision by Clive
Calder of Zomba record group to cash in his company to Bertelsmann Music
Group. Richard Waters writes, "The particular circumstances of the sale
have little to do with the overall health of the music business. But the
deal also points to the twin pressures that have left the record companies
staggering: in the midst of a punishing cyclical downturn, secular forces
have also been at work that have raised doubts about the industry's future
shape." Read more.
June 13, 2002 - Britney Spears'

tour is going, a recent three day vacation by Britney, and Britney's Fourth

Before we know it, the tour will be over and summer will soon follow."
Lynne perhaps was doing a bit of damage control at the end of the message
following Britney's cancellation of her Make A Wish appearance in Las Vegas
that had a terminal cancer patient broken hearted. Lynne writes, "Britney
has been meeting with 'Make a Wish' kids before her concerts. These children
are so special and so brave. They are a real inspiration to Britney. Brit
wants to share this with her fans, and to thank these wonderful kids again
for supporting her and sharing their time with her." Read more.
June 13, 2002 - Chris Macias
of the Sacremento Bee reviewed Britney Spears' concert at the Arco Arena
on Monday night, saying there wasn't much difference between the live set
and the 'Britney Spears: Live From Las Vegas' home video. "Spears' presented
a nonstop sugar rush of eye candy," he said. "But there was also zilch
in the way of spontaneity or surprise. With lighting, effects, dancing
and music all rigidly programmed, seeing one stop on Spears' tour is like
seeing them all." Macias added, "Though Spears appeared guilty of lip-synching
during the more-strenuous song-and-dance numbers, her singing was mostly
fine during the show's few intimate moments. Her vocal pipes sounded a
wee bit rusty and road-weary during the ballad "I'm Not a Girl, Not Yet
a Woman," but her range and vibrato managed to shine." Read more.
June 13, 2002 - Linda Hoffman,

The cause listed for Carter in July's Spin magazine is "Drinking. Dancing.
Crying when getting arrested. Space-exploration jealousy." Katchen said,
"He would benefit from topical agents with antibiotics in them. These are
often combined with benzoyl peroxide to dry up zits. He could also benefit
from monthly chemical peels, which would, through exfoliation, give him
porcelain skin."
June 12, 2002 - Doug Elfman
of the Las Vegas Review Journal missed Britney Spears' concerts in Vegas
a few weeks ago, but got the dirt from concertgoers with front row seats.
Elfman writes, "I heard from people in the front rows that she lip-synced
so badly that it seemed at times as if she'd totally given up trying to
match the movement of her money hole to the words coming out of the speakers.
Supposedly, she even seemed to be joking with some of her dancers in the
middle of songs, I'm told." He also insinuates that the sound system was
run poorly during Nikka Costa's opening set was done on purpose to make
Britney's act sound better. Read more.

the public attention about the relationship, "I feel like I'm in the middle

company and her recording company pirated their tune 'What You See Is What
You Get' by using two versions of it on her platinum 'Oops, I Did It Again'
album. The only difference is using the letter U in place of the word You.
On the album, the song's titled, 'What U See Is What U Get.' The suit asserts
Britney's handlers "merely made minor adjustments to some of the lyrics
and music in the respective songs in an unsuccessful attempt to 'conceal'
their pirating of" Cottrill's and Wnukowski's musical talents. Read more.

Britney Spears. Dr. Brad Katchen's medical solution to the problem was:

and, at night, use a topical hydroxy acid lotion, which helps exfoliate
skin."

of the San Diego Union Tribune reviewed Britney Spears' concert at San
Diego State's Cox Arena Wednesday night, ripping the heavily commercialized
theme of the show. "Spears wasn't the only slave at Cox Arena Wednesday
night," she said. "With a shameless guerrilla marketing campaign behind
her 2002 'Dream Within a Dream' Tour, it became more and more obvious that
by buying tickets to see Spears, her fans had sold themselves to the worst
kind of corporate manipulation – advertising designed as 'just a part of
the show.'" Read more.
June 10, 2002 - Chris Macias
of the Sacremento Bee spoke with set designer/art director Jim Day ahead

several other tours including *NSYNC's. "Every time you're talking about
an *NSYNC or Britney Spears tour, it's like taking a Broadway show out
on the road," Day says. "It might take up to 20 trucks to haul the sets
around. *NSYNC and Britney -- their training was with Disney, so they're
performers and can sing and dance at the same time. I'm an older rock 'n'
roll kind of guy, but the kids seem to love it." Read more.
June 10, 2002 - Pagesix.com

reportedly told a pal.
June 8, 2002 - Anonymous

as Z100. Her last two singles 'Not a Girl, Not Yet a Woman,' and 'Overprotected,'
have received good reactions from fans and even a R&B fan base jumped
on the 'Britney' bandwagon. Now recently with the single 'Boys,' radio
stations have been playing the track to see if the people like it. And
the reactions have been great, which makes 'Boys,' Britney's first radio
friendly single since 'I'm a Slave 4 U.'"

whatever was done to have this zebra walk up stairs [producers of the video
had the zebra walk up a long flight of steps in front of the Beverly Hills

which it did. What you saw was what you got -- a circus act complete with

it happened. In fact, several people have told me a well-known entertainer
