February 24, 2003 - Us Weekly
reports that even though Britney Spears attended *NSYNC star Justin Timberlake's
22nd birthday party at Dublin's Irish Whiskey Pub in Los Angeles, the pair
stayed far apart when running into each other several days later on February
10th at Joseph's. They partied on opposite sides of the nightclub, and
"they didn't say one word to each other," according to a source. It was
"an awkward situation for some of their mutual friends."
February 24, 2003 - WENN

People reports *NSYNC star Justin Timberlake has been bedding women recently,
including Dannii Minogue earlier in the week, to transform his image as
pop's #1 sex machine, instead of just being known as the steady boyfriend
of the virginal Britney Spears. "There is no way Justin could play the
butter-wouldn't-melt partner of Britney for long," a source close to 'Trousersnake'
said. "He has become a huge star and loves the lifestyle that goes with
it. He adores women and talks about sex constantly. He wants to bed every
female superstar in the pop world and there is no way he could ever have
stayed faithful to Britney in the long term." Read more.
February 23, 2003 - Britney
Spears made a surprise appearance on Saturday Night Live last night where
she played the role of the country bumpkin girlfriend of former SNL star
Will Farrell. They joked a bit about his last name thinking she was dating
Colin Farrell, but Britney said she and Will were "a little past dating."
As for rumors that Spears was running a Colombian drug cartel now -- perhaps
in reference to her alleged cocaine use, Britney said, "I mean, these tabloid
papers, they're ridiculous. I mean, they follow you around, they take your
pictures, they lie about every move you make. You know what it's like,
Tina?" Tina responded "No, I don't." When Jimmy Fallon said he thought
Will was married, he responded, "Jimmy, look who it is. It's Britney Spears."
Britney didn't appear to be around when the cast came out at the close
-- maybe she was in the bathroom? Check out some vidcaps here.
February 23, 2003 - Fred
Durst was apparently not pleased with idea that Limp Bizkit's new song
'Just Drop Dead' was about Britney Spears. He posted on the band's official
website Thursday: "Wow is the word. Amazing how much sh** leaking a song
can stir up. Especially a song that comes from the gut. I went on mtvnews.com
and couldnt believe how many sissy's have issues with my music. And I can't
believe how many poeple assume 'Just Drop Dead' is about someone they know.
It makes me chuckle, chuckle, uh, chuckle. And how cool is the media? Our
friend or foe? It would be absurd to leak a lil somethin' somethin' to
our fans before our new album comes out now wouldn't it? What the fu**
are we thinking? Am I out of my fu**ing mind? How could I do such a naughty
thing. Bad Fred." Read more.

Dan Klores. "It makes for good reading, but it's simply not true." Star
magazine's spokesman Richard Valvo insisted the tabloid "stands by its
story, which had multiple sources and was thoroughly vetted." Read more.

"If you want to be a slut, be a slut," she said. "If it makes you feel
like a million bucks, then go for it. But if it makes you feel like sh**,
then don't do it. Each to their own. Maybe if my ass was a little less
fat, I might be showing it off, too." Read more.

than discreet in a Miami nightclub? She allowed witnesses to see her snorting
lines of cocaine."
February 22, 2003 - Limp
Bizkit frontman Fred Durst posted a new message on the band's website today
explaining why he wrote the track 'Just Drop Dead', which some have speculated
was about Britney Spears. "I wrote the song about someone who just shouldn't
have crossed the line," Durst explained. "Someone who thinks they can just
get away with anything regardless of how bad the karma will be. someone
who lives there life fooling everyone. not me, not this time. And there
it is. It's on and I'm ready to rock this motherfu**er. Kiss my ass and

reports a spokesperson for Limp Bizkit's management company claimed not
to be aware of any connection between 'Just Drop Dead', the track frontman
Fred Durst released onto the band's website yesterday, and Britney Spears.
It is also not known whether the song will appear on the band's new album,
now titled Bipolar but still due in May. 'Just Drop Dead' is "definitely"
not the first single, the spokesperson said. The track had included references
to breaking up and getting back together, sounding more like a long term
relationship -- not the reported two-week fling with Spears. And a reference
to "run your fu**in' mouth off everyday" in the 'Just Drop Dead' track
may be better suited to Playmate Nicole Narain, who recently told News
of the World, "[Fred] might not quite pack the same punch from his midriff
as Colin [Farrell], but the sex was great." Download the track and judge

February 20, 2003 - John
O'Neill of the San Francisco Bay Guardian is calling out Limp Bizkit frontman
Fred Durst for his blasting of Britney Spears to Access Hollywood recently.
"What in the world was Fred Durst thinking by dissing Britney Spears,"
O'Neill asked. "Don't get me wrong, I'm not a card-carrying member of her
fan club or anything. I'm not even sure how many albums she's put out,
or the titles of any of her songs except 'Oops.' Until Durst's recent sneak
attack, all I could say about her is that she dances pretty well in that
Pepsi commercial. But I do have a heart, and these days it's broken. This
Durst guy is way out of line, and what I need to know is why everyone isn't
outraged like I am? People, I understand that Britney may not be perfect,
but why the character assassination? She's 21, rich as hell, a knockout,
and a former Mouseketeer, for goodness sake! She isn't like you and me
and shouldn't be held to the same standards." Read more.

hadn't actually fu**ing thought of it. I hadn't! I know there will be some
people who will go, 'Shut up, you manipulating little bitch, yes you did.'
I didn't. It's not that I'm dumb, I just don't think sometimes."

shouldn't call guys. I think guys should call girls." She added, "But don't
worry, Ben, he's called so it's all good." Earlier in the show, Spears

visitor Kirsten Storm shared her story of meeting the singer at A.D. in
Los Angeles on Saturday. She writes, "Her time at the club involved standing
with her body guards and four or so friends in an upstairs roped-off balcony.
From here she could take frequent trips to the bathroom and dance with
her entourage. I decided to have my own fun and leave Miss Spears to herself,
but our paths just seemed to cross. As I unknowingly entered the bathroom,
she walked in right after me. While she looked at herself in the mirror,
she explained to me how drunk she was (as she had been drinking before
she got to the club) and had taken four shots while at the club. She was
also upset about her oily skin as she referred to herself as, and I quote,
'a greasy bitch'." Read more.

guy to guy. I kind of feel bad for him, he's a cool guy, she's a cool chick
I just think she's got some issues man." Watch the clip and read the transcript
