Spears wore pink Juicy sweats, with her hair tucked back in a stringy ponytail, as she headed for a bite at the café. Britney could barely keep her heavy-lidded eyes open with bodyguard Big Rob in tow.

March 28, 2003 -  In an interview with Q magazine, Madonna criticized her younger peers Pink, Christina Aguilera and Britney Spears. March 27, 2003 - The Sun reports Britney Spears and *NSYNC star Justin Timberlake met at the White Lotus nightclub in Hollywood on Friday night to talk things over. "Britney and Justin arrived just before midnight," said an onlooker at the club. "They sat together in a corner just talking and drinking. They looked like they were getting on well. March 27, 2003 - Limp Bizkit frontman Fred Durst posted a new message on his website on Wednesday, revealing that he once again has changed the title of the band's forthcoming album, and denied the self-leaked 'Just Drop Dead' is about Britney Spears. Barely hesitating, he chose Britney. When asked why he said he's liked her ever since she came out in pigtails, and he likes her dance moves. March 27, 2003 - britney4ever writes "WorldOfBritney reports that Britney Spears just filmed a new commercial for Japan. It's from a tea company which is G.G.Tea. This commercial will be released on April and only in Japan. The G.G.Tea commercial was filmed in Los Angeles. A newspaper says it's her first commercial for Japan, yet, little did they know she already did a commercial for the Japanese "Suki" Candy back in early 1999. March 26, 2003 - Adam Gonshor of andpop.com caught up with Lucy Woodward ahead of the April 1st release of her debut album 'While You Can'. The singer is nothing like anyone else in today's pop music scene, but she insists she's not an anti-Britney Spears type. "I really like Britney," she says. "I think she's an incredible performer and dancer. When you have a record deal that young, I think it's hard to make your own decision sometimes and it's a lot of pressure. March 22, 2003 - Fortune magazine spoke with Jive president Barry Weiss who has big expectations for the label this year, thanks to new releases due out later this year from Britney Spears and Pink. "Britney's going to push the envelope without being stupid or contrived. It's going to be really cool," Weiss said.

March 21, 2003 - The Mirror reports former Spice Girl Geri Halliwell told Limp Bizkit frontman Fred Durst she's interested in a lesbian fling with Britney Spears. On the Jimmy Kimmel Show, she told Durst, "You know what, if I was someone like you, a rapper type, cool type, I'd do the same. If I was a guy, I'd wanna do Britney and all of those." March 19, 2003 - Star magazine reports Britney Spears recently took four galpals to Jerry's Famous Deli in West Hollywood. Her bodyguard Big Rob sat alone and watched the waiter cater to the girls, and afterwards, Spears told him to pay the helpful waiter their $50 tab, plus a generous $180 tip.

March 15, 2003 - Britney Spears's attorney has responded to the countersuit filed by Skechers against his client. "This countersuit is a ludicrous attempt to distract the court and the general public from the real issue: Skechers failed to meet their contractual financial obligations to Ms. Spears," said the singer's attorney, Michael Friedman. "They were unsuccessful in securing appropriate licensees to produce the line and completely abandoned their program to support this project." Read more.

March 13, 2003 - The Mirror reports Britney Spears has hit back at *NSYNC star Justin Timberlake, striking the bitchiest blow in footage for her 'I Love Rock 'n' Roll' single. In the video, she teasingly flashes a mobile phone number and the name "Ben" scrawled on her hand, which they speculate refers to Ben Affleck, who she was rumored to have had a fling with. March 13, 2003 - Boomkat vocalist Taryn Manning tells Launch.com that she's now applying what she learned from Britney Spears while filming 'Crossroads' and Eminem while filming '8 Mile' to her own band. "I learned a lot from Britney, I mean, Britney's a pretty mature girl," Manning said. "You know, she doesn't really let the press bother her--the things that the press people say--and I really watched things roll off her back. I looked up to her. "A lot of my fans talk on my website everyday and they just wanted to hear something and I was really itching and a lot of drama was going on in the press about me and Britney and a lot of different things," Durst explained. "It’s not about Britney. She might have a little bit too do with some feeling with it, but if you guys think that’s Britney Spears is the only girl I have to write about or went through sh** with your wrong. March 8, 2003 - The Sunday Mirror reports that when Britney Spears travelled back to the States from London on a British Airways Concorde flight, she caused a huge fuss checking whether the special meal ordered for her was on board the jet before it took off for its speedy journey across the Atlantic. "Her special meal consisted of a strawberry yogurt, strawberry dessert, followed by a strawberry platter swilled down with a strawberry herbal tea," a passenger revealed. Club bosses had other ideas and told her to leave. "A year ago Britney was untouchable and no one would have dared tell her what to do. But things are different now," a club insider said. Christy, a former pop singer herself, likened the album to Madonna's Ray of Light, which is fitting since Spears has met with William Orbit, who produced that album, he said "Lyrically, it's a little deeper, just a little more grown up, but not trying to change the world or anything" Christy said "the great thing about Britney is she really knows what she wants. She knows if she's trying something on that doesn't fit right for her. She's like, 'No, that's not me.' She's not one to strap on some sort of fake image." March 5, 2003 - Todd Gold of People magazine spoke with a source close to Britney Spears that says Limp Bizkit frontman Fred Durst's feelings for Spears were out of control. "He's lovesick for this girl who was never in love with him," the source said, adding that Durst even wrote a love letter to Spears. "He gave it to her when she walked in the studio. March 4, 2003 - Access Hollywood went to Britney Spears' home state to reveal a very personal side of the superstar. Britney is on a mission to help the women in her life and other women battling cancer. In September of 1999, Britney's Aunt Sandra was diagnosed with ovarian cancer. "My Aunt Sandra is like my second mom. It was just a very devastating reality," said Spears. "Before this happened I've never experienced anyone being sick or a loss in a family." Read more.

Britney's aim, like countless others, is to help raise awareness and funds for the battle against cancer.
