WENN reports the singer saying, "Actually I prefer Red Bull. I know that's really bad, but when I have photo shoots to do and I'm really tired, I drink Red Bull and apple juice. It really pumps me up."

June 29, 2003 - Anonymous writes "Okay, so today I was at the Olive Garden In Los Angeles with my girls and we weren't getting ANY service. After about an hour wait, our waiter comes up and apologizes saying"My boss made me take care of all the chaos because Britney Spears just came in and fans were surrounding her." I looked over and saw her and 3 other girls snackin' on the bread and just lookin really chill. One of my girls said, "Go over and get an autograph." So I did.I went over to her with a pen and 3 napkins and asked her, "Can you sign these for me and my friends?" She said, "Of course! I am so glad only one of you came up. I like it when I can talk to one fan at a time one-on-one." She signed them and even bought us dessert!"

June 29, 2003 - Star magazine reports Britney Spears and a bunch of her girlfriends recently went to see 'The Italian Job' at The Grove shopping center in Los Angeles. The Spears posse were screaming with excitement and jumping out of their seats during the final car-chase scene. And afterwards, when Spears was leaving the theater, she gushed to one of her friends, "I wish Mark Walhberg didn't have a girlfriend. He's SOOO hot!"

June 29, 2003 - From the Las Vegas Review Journal today: "Get a life: That was a Britney Spears impersonator, complete with phony bodyguards, in the crowd at the Justin Timberlake and Christina Aguilera concert at the MGM Grand on Saturday."

June 29, 2003 - Us Weekly reports Britney Spears' bodyguard Big Rob "felt betrayed" after the singer decided to use another security company. Rob says, "[Her team] questioned my ability to take care [of Britney]. I worked 24 hours a day, seven days a week. I gave her 180 percent." He added,"When a client wants to go out, you can't do anything about it unless it's a hostage or safety risk. You can't stop her or Janet Jackson, Madonna, Jennifer Lopez. You cannot control someone over 21 years old." Britney's rep told the mag that the singer is only "taking an extended break" from Big Rob.

June 27, 2003 - Groovevolt.com caught up with a pal of Britney Spears following her admission in Star magazine saying in regards to drug use: "Let’s just say that you a reach a stage in your life where you are curious. I was curious at one point…Was it a mistake? Yes." A pal said the tabloid shouldn't jump to the conclusion that it was cocaine, as they had reported earlier. "She did not say what drug she used. It could have very well been pot, x or any other drug on the street," the pal explained. "Honestly, she didn’t even say that she used drugs. June 27, 2003 - Britney Spears did a tell-all interview with Star magazine (republished in The Sun) in which she responded to reports of her drug use, which blew wide open after Star magazine alleged the singer used cocaine at a Miami Beach nightclub late last year. "Let’s just say you reach a stage in your life where you are curious," Spears hinted. "And I was curious at one point. But I’m way too focused to let anything stop me. Was it a mistake? Yes." June 27, 2003 - Chad Hugo, one half of the Neptunes production team and a member of N.E.R.D was recently interviewed by Entertainment Weekly. Here's what he had to say about some of the artists he's worked with. On Justin, Hugo said, "He's self-contained. He wrote his own harmonies, his own riffs. June 23, 2003 - Top of the Pops caught up with Jennifer Ellison for a Q&A and asked whether she feels that in looking like Britney Spears, whether it will work in her favor. "I think it could go both ways," Ellison said. "She's done so well and she's gorgeous but if people think you have modelled yourself on them then you can get a bit of flack in the press. I think it can go both ways. It doesn't bother me because at the end of the day I don't model myself on her. I'm making a conscious effort to stay away from anything she has ever worn." June 23, 2003 - While a source close to Britney Spears' family says the singer split with bodyguard Big Rob because she switched security firms, another source tells Us Weekly that his closeness to Spears may have been the actual problem. Rob "treated her like a sister and not a star who needed watching over. He turned a blind eye like a family member would, and he didn't see things objectively or [look out] for her best interest." Whatever the case, the family source added, "Everyone is sad about it. He's part of the family."

June 20, 2003 - The Washington Post reports a free concert that will include performances by Britney Spears and possibly Mary J. Blige and a patriotic tribute to the U.S. armed forces will highlight the NFL's opening-weekend festivities on the National Mall on Sept. 4. June 18, 2003 - Entertainment Tonight reports that Britney Spears has failed to make this year's Forbes Celebrity 100 list. The magazine blames the pop princess's self-imposed hiatus and the slow down of the teen pop craze as the reason, which caused *NSYNC and the Backstreet Boys to fall of the list as well. Rankings are based not only on the stars' earning power within the last 12 months but also by their media presence. The youngest to make the list was 15-year-old Hilary Duff, who came in at #96. "They called her manager and said if she didn't settle down, she was not going to be the headliner," a source claimed. "They don't want anyone associated with any kind of scandal." A source close to the singer denied the claim though, saying, "Britney will be the headliner."

June 8, 2003 - Anonymous writes "In the new edition of UK music industry trade paper 'Music Week', there is a small part talking a little about Britney Spears' new album and one of its producer. They say, "Beyond his S Club hits, Solomon, who is published by Rondor and managed by Adrian Adams of Artists and Media in Los Angeles.... has two cuts on the forthcoming Britney Spears album, which were mixed last week by Spike Stent. 'One is called Stay, which sounds like Massive Attack meets Coldplay meets Britney' he says. 'It will surprise alot of people'. His other Spears collaboration is a track called Touch Of My Hand. 'It has an old beatbox vibe with all these ambient sounds on top and a Middle East kind of feeling,' he says."

June 6, 2003 - A Manhattan night life regular tells his buddy and gossip columnist Bill Zwecker of the Chicago Sun-Times he is beginning to worry about Britney Spears. ''The last three times I've seen her, she really looked kind of haggard and way too tired-looking for a kid her age,'' he said.

June 5, 2003 - Courtney Love tells Vanity Fair scribe Steve Garbarino that she still has the hots for former flame Edward Norton. She says, "I dumped him for a movie role. If that isn't shallow I don't know what is." As for his current girlfriend Salma Hayek, Love insisted, "He'll never marry her . . . for one, he can barely understand half of what she's saying." June 5, 2003 - A woman who says she was manhandled so that Britney Spears could have her favorite table at Lot 61 the other night is fuming, and went straight to the New York Daily News to vent. "She's a bitch, and she thinks she can throw people around," contends Jacqui Andrews, who alleges that she was forcibly ejected from her seat when Spears arrived at the Chelsea club Monday night around 11:30. She explained, "I was picked up physically, moved out of the way and thrown on the floor - so that [Spears] could sit there. She sat there and watched the whole thing and was laughing about it." June 5, 2003 - A source tells The New York Post that Britney Spears was "very tipsy and very wild" at Lot 61 on Monday night. The singer arrived at the club at around 11:30 p.m. and left close to 2:30 in the morning. The spy revealed, "She was dancing on the banquettes and could barely keep her eyes open. She's been getting soused a lot lately, maybe her family or friends should step in." Spears rep insisted that her client is doing nothing different than any other woman her age does, adding, "She's not out of control."

June 5, 2003 - 'American Idol 2' winner Ruben Studdard tells Access Hollywood he met Britney Spears backstage at Z100's Zootopia concert in New York on Sunday (June 1). "I just met Britney Spears. That's all I'll say," revealed Ruben. "She's a nice girl, man. She's a Southern girl and me and [Clay Aiken] are both Southern gentlemen. There was kind of a connection there, you know. June 5, 2003 - Courtney Love tells Vanity Fair scribe Steve Garbarino that she has songs to spare for her forthcoming solo album 'America's Sweetheart'.
