She said it kind of jokingly, but everyone looked at one another. They realized she wasn't kidding." A friend of the singer confided, "I hear Britney is pregnant. She's been going for regular visits to the ObGyn and [pending husband Kevin Federline] is going with her." One more sign was at a recent dinner with Kevin at Moonshadows in Malibu, where an observer "didn't see her light up once. Kevin was smoking, but she wasn't."

Us asserts Spears agreed to sell photos from the September 18th wedding to People, and that she was intent on delivering a ceremony for the magazine. E! When we found the place we spotted some smashed roses outside the house where she was married. My fiance ran up and grabbed the best flower from the road and we bought a freezer bag and put it in there. According to photographer David LaChappelle, "I said to her, 'You don't want to be buttoned up, like Debbie Gibson,' " LaChapelle recalls. "I said, 'Let's push it further and do this whole Lolita thing.' She got it. She knew it would get people talking and excited." Spears proved, even then, that she was going to take charge of crafting her own image. One night while they were shooting, LaChapelle says, Spears' manager, Larry Rudolph, walked in at 2 a.m. to find her posing in her bra and panties. Rudolph demanded to know what was going on. "Britney said, 'Yeah, I don't feel comfortable,' " says the photographer. "At first I felt betrayed. September 20, 2004 - MissThang005 writes "On Saturday (September 11), Britney Spears and fiance Kevin Federline took Brit's sister Jamie Lynn and her friends to a Malibu field to play with their new remote control cars. "Britney and Kevin are going to incredible lengths to keep the ceremony a secret," the insider said. "Intended guests were called by a wedding planner, who didn't give her name. She asked for the guests' addresses and told them that they would be mailed an invitation in mid-September. She also asked each invited guest his or her mother's maiden name and assigned each person a secret code number. On the eve of the wedding, each guest will get a phone call and they'll be asked their mothers' maiden name and secret code. If they answer correctly, they'll be directed to a secret location - a parking lot - where they can leave their cars.
