January 31, 2005 - mirbailey
writes "I'll start out by saying that I am a huge fan of Britney Spears.
BUT, her latest video 'Do Somethin' is lacking. I read that she came up
with the choreography for this video by herself. That's the whole problem
with this video! It's so boring! She begins in a pink Hummer with some
friends acting like normal, fun loving girls on a night out, but when she
gets to the "Hole in the Wall" bar, it goes downhill from there. Her moves
repeat themselves. Lots of hands in the hair, lots of grinding with her
posse, not much else. I guess that's why it's only available on www.mtv.com
until Friday and isn't being released as a song for radio play in the US.
She's still a talented girl; she's just trying to do too much all at once.
Britney, if you need help, ask someone! Your managers and such are only
there to help! Hope to see you back next year with classic Britney media!
:)"

writes "It seems as if Jive Records knows what is best for Britney Spears.
After a recent media overhaul thanks to a wedding, a greatest hits album,
and a possibly pregnancy Jive Records has decided not to release a new
album by Britney Spears this year. Britney had already been working on
a follow-up to 2003's, 'In The Zone,' but the plans were shelved according
to a Jive insider. "The media and record buying public have been exposed
to way too much Britney and because of that her album, 'Original Doll,'
has been pushed to the 2006 release schedule," according to the source.
Instead, Britney will try for a family and slowly but surely record new
material."

January 24, 2005 - str8 writes
"For the numerous amounts of flack Christina Aguilera gets, I have this
comment. How can you attack the only young singer who actually has a voice?
Britney Spears, who maybe a "good" dancer (by some standards) she's a half-talent
as an actress, and if we are being honest she can’t sing. The lip-synching
by Britney at her shows is well known, maybe if she didn’t dance and just
sung her heart out once, just once; this mess would finally come to an
end. I for one would love an old fashion talent show of the "singers" nowadays.
While it is highly unlikely to ever happen, one can only dream." Read more.
January 24, 2005 - A source

January 24, 2005 - Anonymous
writes "I understand that you like Christina Aguilera. She has an amazing
voice, that is not often found in such a young performer. She has few contemporaries
that can actually hold a torch to her voice. I just don't understand why
you have to put Britney Spears down to prove how good Christina is. Truly
good artists don't need to be compared to other artists. They have their
own achievements and can shine on their own. It's true that Britney and
Christina were very similar whey they first emerged, but now they are pretty
different." Read more.

January 24, 2005 - Anonymous
writes "I am really getting sick of all the jokes about Britney Spears’
more recent marriage (the one that lasted longer then 2 days). More so,
I am sick of everyone calling Kevin Federline trailer trash. That is very
disrespectful to call somebody trailer trash for two reasons. One being
that you are using a person's home, who cannot afford better, to hurt someone
else. That's horrible. It is a direct dis to Kevin, but worse it is a dis
to the hundreds of thousands of people in this nation that reside in a
trailer park. That is like calling someone a food-stamp junkie. It's just
wrong. And two, Kevin has a better life then you. He married Britney Spears....where
are you? So no matter how trashy he looks, he still is doing better and
is worth more then you. So in my opinion....no one has the right to make
fun of him."

They let her direct. Britney Spears is promoted as a princess of pop, meaning

self on excellent videos. The film clip for “do something” was unprofessional,
poor quality and a huge slide from her rave reviews of her past videos."

the people advising her. I think her trouble is that she's not very intelligent.
She doesn't know what's the right thing to say. You'll say to her, 'So
