February 28, 2005 - Femalefirst.co.uk reports that Britney Spears, Paris Hilton and Pamela Anderson are among the host of stars barred from attending the Oscars this weekend, to reportedly prevent the evening from turning into a "downmarket scrum." A source explained, "Britney would have wanted her entourage with her, but the Academy wanted to keep things as tight and as highbrow as possible. They plan to focus on those people who have worked in the film industry for years - not people who are merely celebrities in other areas." Read more.

February 28, 2005 - Britney Spears, after dyeing her hair a dark brunette shade, was photographed wearing necklaces with crosses with hubby Kevin Federline after weeks of seclusion far from Hollywood. She and Federline went to see the movie 'The Wedding Date' near Baton Rouge in Louisiana and seemed very affectionate after reports surfaced of a rough patch her her marriage. February 28, 2005 - Britney Spears has added a new 'Dog's Crib' to her official website, to discuss her dogs Lacy, Lucky, and Bit Bit. Spears said in her first crib entry on Wednesday: "I hope none of you really took my comments seriously when I was talking about Bit Bit and [Paris Hilton's Chihuahua] Tinkerbell. February 28, 2005 - Star Editor-in-chief Joe Dolce said he was pleased to see the magazine thanked by Britney Spears for its decision not to run the photos of the singer with hubby Kevin Federline on their honeymoon in Fiji last October. He added, "When we were offered these photos we spoke to Britney's people, and when they made it clear how important it was to her and Kevin to respect their privacy, we decided not to publish them. We hope they enjoyed their honeymoon!" February 28, 2005 - A rep for Britney Spears and Jennifer Lopez responded to a report that Cher referred to both as hoes during a concert in Auckland, New Zealand on Sunday night. "For someone who has had their fair share of bad press, it is surprising she would comment on two women she hardly knows," the rep told The New York Post.

February 21, 2005 - Nui Te Koha of the Herald Sun was on hand for Cher's concert in Auckland, New Zealand, during the Australian leg of her farewell tour on Sunday night (October 20). February 21, 2005 - Us Weekly has responded to Britney Spears press release regarding photos of her honeymoon with Kevin Federline which are published in this week's issue. "Coming from a celebrity who sold pictures of both her wedding and her stepdaughter, it's unlikely the issue here is privacy," an Us Weekly spokesperson said in a statement. "Could it be that Britney is seeing red after not seeing the green from these photos? Britney Spears should start a magazine if she'd like to dictate her own coverage." Read more.

February 21, 2005 - The Sun reports that 'Match Of The Day' host Gary Lineker has dressed up as Britney Spears in a Walkers Crisps commercial for Comic Relief, which also features McFly and Simon Cowell. "In the ad, McFly keep making outrageous demands and tell Simon they want bags of crisps with all the flavors mixed up," an insider explained. "They think he'll never be able to do it but Simon comes up trumps and produces the packets of Walkers. The band are besieged by female fans who are desperate to get a piece of them. February 21, 2005 - Britney Spears released a press statement on Wednesday regarding the new edition of Us Weekly. The singer states: "I am disturbed by the photos and article that appeared in this week's issue of US Weekly Magazine (dated Feb 28, 2005), which they call my 'private honeymoon album'. Kevin and I chose a resort location where we were promised absolute privacy and seclusion. Unfortunately, staff members took photographs of us, which we allowed them to take once we were assured they were being taken only for private use in a scrap book they gave us as a souvenir of our honeymoon. Other magazines, including the Star, contacted us when presented with these photographs and refused to publish them. Kevin and I thank those other magazines for respecting our rights of privacy." Spears was upset about Federline spending so much time out with his guy friends. A source said that Lynne's advice was that the marriage was having "teething troubles" and that Spears should "ride them out."

Britney gets a second diamond album, which means 10,000,000 shipped, for 'Oops I Did It Again.' Her other is, '...Baby One More Time,' which has over more then 14,000,000 shipped. Also her, 'Greatest Hits: My Prerogative,' hits platinum as does the dvd which is now 2x platinum. Christina on the other hand gets another certification for, 'Stripped.' Since 2002 the album has shipped 4,000,000 copies. In comparison, her debut has shipped just about 8,000,000."

"Sounds to me like Britney's got a serious case of canine envy," the source sneered. "Britney copied Paris. February 14, 2005 - Though Britney Spears is itching to have a baby, her hubby Kevin Federline, who's son through his previous romance with Shar Jackson was born back in July, isn't in a hurry. "Kevin thinks it's way too soon for them to have a child together," a friend of Federline told Star magazine. "Britney's desperate to have a baby and she's been literally begging Kevin to make her pregnant. But he keeps telling her, 'No, Britney. I don't want another kid yet. My son isn't even a year old'." So in the meantime, the pop princess is "just trying to concentrate on her career," according to a friend.

February 14, 2005 - Malibu based healer Allan Wicombe has more to say about his recent treatment of Britney Spears. He tells In Touch magazine that while messaging Spears' head during treatment to alleviate blockages in her "inner spirit", his fingers stiffened. "Her mental powers were extraordinary," Wicombe said. "My fingers froze and were paralyzed for hours after she left. That rarely happens."

February 14, 2005 - Details special projects editor Andrea Oliveri tells Jeannette Walls of MSNBC.com that Britney Spears' marriage to Kevin Federline seems to be solid, contrary to Walls' story a day earlier, after the pair visited the mag's offices for Federline's March issue cover shoot. "I was at the photo shoot with both Britney and Kevin," Oliveri said. "They were extremely affectionate. Britney was really excited that Kevin was getting his first cover of his own." Read more.

She is a dumb, sweet girl who got into show by some lucky mistake, and by lucky I mean the girl hit a jackpot; she can't sing, she can't act, and definitely can't think straight (judging by her latest work produced). She should have never even been considered for a recording contract, much less be called a singer, simply for the fact that she CANNOT SING!!! (whispers, moans, and enhanced technology are not singing). I don't care how good of a dancer she is, or how nice her Wonderbra looks, music industry should be about music only. When I buy a CD I want to hear good voice, and music, if you can't sing you shouldn't be a "recording artist". If she likes "performing", she could have been a stripper, cabaret dancer, anything, but to call her a singer when she can't carry a tune is just ridiculous. Her lip-synching is an embarrassment to the music industry, and her live "singing" is an embarrassment to the human race. I believe that she got into show business by accident. But I think Britney’s new song and video "Do Somethin'" is the worst of all. I respect her as a person but this track is the proof that she really needs a break - and that very soon. I think it harms her career if she's always changing her style and that she always says "This record is one of my best and it's very cool because I am finally able to do my own thing" and the music sucks. Be true - "In the zone" wasn't a masterpiece. Even if I don't like Christina that much - "Stripped" was one because she established herself as an artist and she is more respected in the music business as Britney. If Britney continues to make such music like "Do Somethin'" she will quickly history. I hope that her times aren't over."
