magazine's Tina Deerman revealed to 'Extra' that according to one of her
sources inside the maternity ward, Britney Spears was actually scheduled
to have her cesarean Thursday, not Wednesday. "This was all a pre-arranged
thing," Deerman said. "She got a little worried that too many people knew
that she was suppose to deliver today, and she actually called her doctor
and asked if they could do it a day early, and the doc said, ‘'Anything

Hollywood' reports that Britney Spears arrived to the UCLA hospital at
5 a.m. on Wednesday morning under heavy police escort with husband Kevin
Federline by her side. About an hour and a half later, mom Lynne and lil'
sister Jamie Lynn showed up. At 12:57 p.m., the singer gave birth to 6
pound, 11 ounce Sean Preston by C-section. "We are ecstatic to announce
the birth of our son! Everyone is happy, healthy and doing wonderful. Thank
you for all your love and well wishes!!" the couple said in a statement

Spears gave birth to a baby boy at a Los Angeles hospital on Wednesday,
Us Weekly magazine is reporting. The 23-year-old entertainer gave birth
by Caesarean section shortly before 1 p.m. PDT (1700 GMT) at Santa Monica
UCLA Medical Center. Hospital officials declined to comment. "Pregnancy
has not agreed with her," a Spears pal told Us. "She has been sick a lot....
She couldn't get out of bed all weekend."

News reports that David Frossman, who is Britney Spears' publicist in the
UK, has denied reports that the pop star had given birth to her first child.
"Britney Spears has not given birth. She's not even in hospital," Frossman
said. "The baby is due some time in the next month."

National Ledger reports that Britney Spears fears that two of her uncles
may have perished due to Hurricane Katrina. The uncles are reportedly named
Willie and June and are brothers of the singer's father Jamie. "We haven't
seen them," Kentwood police chief James Rimes said. "That doesn't mean
the worst - a lot of families in the region are trying to find missing

reports have suggested Jack Wishna has been negotiating a deal to bring
Britney Spears to Las Vegas for a long-term casino headliner deal, the
singer's rep says otherwise. "Not true, there is no Vegas show in the works,"
a spokesperson told The New York Post.

magazine reports that late into her pregnancy, at just 5'5", Britney Spears
has gone from an estimated 119 lbs. to about 170 lbs. — a 51-pound increase,
larger than the average pregnancy weight gain is 25 to 35 lbs. But Spears
seems to be embracing her new, large self, saying, "I think I'll always
have a weight problem." Fitness expert Michael George still has hopes the
singer can slim down after giving birth later this month. "Britney should
follow a diet of 40% carbohydrates, 30% protein and 30% fat," George advised.
"She needs to work up to 45 minutes of cardio six days a week, and some

Spears tells Elle magazine she plans to name her baby London, if it is
a boy - and she wants to give birth by caesarean. "I have a feeling I'm
going to have an operation. I don't know why, but I hope so," she said.
"My mom said giving birth was the most excruciating thing that she's ever
gone through in her life. So if a caesarean doesn't happen, I'll be like,
'Epidural, please!' Hopefully my athletic abilities will take over." Meanwhile,

of Hurricane Katrina. "Britney's been glued to the TV coverage of the storms

able to contact them until they had moved away from the storm. It was very

show, 'Zoey 101', last week and screamed at her co-star Alexa Nikolas,

to Jamie Lynn's trailer," a source revealed, "where she proceeded to scream

deal maker Jack Wishna tells The Las Vegas Review Journal that mom-to-be
Britney Spears is embracing the idea of becoming a resident headliner and
nontouring mom like Celine Dion. "The parties are working on a deal that
could bring Britney in her own show in Las Vegas by 2007-2008," Wishna
said Saturday by e-mail. Wishna wouldn't identify the property he's negotiating
for, but said he's representing a "major Strip property." Wishna added
that the same property is negotiating with Madonna that would bring the

Spears' rep is dismissing claims by British talk show host and DJ Richard
Bacon, who claimed he may be legally married to the singer after a prank
interview may have been more realistic than Spears thought. "Sorry to break
Richard's heart, but Britney Spears is legally married to her husband Kevin
Federline and is expecting their first child together very soon," the rep
told Jeannette Walls of MSNBC.com. "I hope Richard is able to accept this
