Diane Hecht told The Associated Press Tuesday that deputies went to Britney Spears' home to collect information for the county Department of Family and Children Services after the singer was photographed driving with baby son Sean Preston in her lap. A DCFS spokesman declined to offer specifics about the incident. "We don't say who, what or if we're investigating," department spokesman Stu Riskin said. February 13, 2006 - The Associated Press reports an appeals court Thursday dismissed a multimillion-dollar lawsuit brought by Paul Santodonato, the husband of a woman who died six years ago during a Britney Spears hoax concocted by a local radio station. Santodonato's 37-year-old wife, Susan, died in June 2000 after falling and hitting her head outside WMRV-FM while part of a crowd of about 100 people who rushed after a limousine fans believed had pop star Britney Spears inside. February 5, 2006 - Though Britney Spears hasn't been seen out with hubby Kevin Federline recently, The Sunday Mirror reports that K-Fed has been in New York, negotiating secretly with the major record labels. "Britney and Kevin have their ups and downs like any couple - but they are happier than ever," a friend said. "And now they're really excited about Kevin's rap career." The friend added, "He should ink the deal very soon." 

February 5, 2006 - According to the Daily Star, Britney Spears has been seeing psychic Ed Cayce for therapy, exploring the singer's previous lives. "Britney's fascinated by the Hindu concept that we are all reborn as different people or animals, depending on how good or bad we were in our previous lives," Cayce told the tab. An insider added, "Britney says she had flashbacks of being a Shetland sheepdog. And she reckons her bossiness is a by-product of her days pushing sheep around."

February 5, 2006 - floydfanatic111 writes "I, and many others, are sick of Britney Spears and her blatant lies and her stupid music and image. You turn on a TV and you see her butt ugly face. February 5, 2006 - The National Enquirer reports that Britney Spears and hubby Kevin Federline recently enjoyed a night of bowling, satisfying their appetites with CornNuts, greasy fries and Mountain Dew. Spears, who yelled "Yahoo!" whenever she threw a strike, was overheard telling another bowler, "Bowling allows us to curse at each other in a good way. It was recommended as therapy   a way to have something fun to do together."

February 5, 2006 - Conan O'Brien joked during his Late Night monologue on Tuesday night, "Yesterday in California, the car that Britney Spears was driving in had to be pushed to the side of the road after it suddenly stopped working. Yeah. Reportedly, Britney was heard asking, 'Can you give me a hand? My car pulled a Federline'."

February 5, 2006 - Jay Leno joked during his Tonight Show monologue on Tuesday night, "Thank you for coming out on another windy day. What, 80 miles an hour winds up on the highway there? In fact, Britney Spears opened her living room window -- it was blowing so hard, Kevin was blown right off the couch." 

February 5, 2006 - Access Hollywood has learned that Britney Spears and her brother Bryan were rescued by paparazzi on a California highway on Sunday evening after their Ferrari broke down. The snappers helped move the car to the side of the road and stayed with the siblings before police arrived on the scene. Read more, including photos, here.
