Spears bought the Malibu home for $9.2 million, higher than the $8.2 asking price. "She was hungry to bring some normality to her family life," source explained. March 30, 2007 - The Associated Press reports lawyers for Britney Spears won a British court injunction Thursday designed to prevent publication of stories about her recent stay in rehab. The injunction bars unidentified "person or persons ... who has/have been leaking information about Ms. Spears' time in a rehabilitation clinic from further disclosures invading her privacy," said Schillings, the 25-year-old pop star's London law firm. March 30, 2007 - Britney Spears is striking back hard at her blabbermouth 55-hour hubby Jason Alexander for his tell-all interview with The Sunday Mirror. Alexander "has been peddling false, defamatory and outrageous stories" and "selling and exploiting private and confidential information about Ms. Spears to the media for money and notoriety," Spears' L.A. lawyer Martin Singer wrote the Daily News. March 30, 2007 - Sources tell TMZ Britney Spears and estranged husband Kevin Federline had an "amazing meeting" on Sunday as the pop star prepares to check out of Promises sometime this week. The paire were getting along and are resolving their child custody dispute. When Britney gets out, she and Kevin have agreed to a 50/50 split with physical custody of their two children Sean Preston and Jayden James. March 30, 2007 - Usmagazine.com talks to Clare Waismann, a registered addiction specialist and executive director of the Waismann Method, to find out if Britney Spears is ready to make a fresh start. Asked how long it typically takes someone in Britney's situation to get back on track, Waismann responded, "It could take six months to a year. This time she will be very frail, not just mentally but chemically as well.. Her body the last three years has gone through ups and downs with pregnancies and diets and divorces. All those things can cause chemical imbalances. She needs probably a year away from everything and everybody so she can at least stabilize herself." Read more.

Then she started screaming, 'I'm a fake! I'm a fake!' It must have been really frightening." The "pal" added, "Later that night she tried to kill herself. She attached a sheet to a light and tied it around her neck. Paramedics were called, but luckily she was unhurt."

Doctors tell The New York Daily News it is common for women with postpartum depression to try to avoid their children. "Depressed mothers don't bond as well with their newborns," says Dr. Stephan Quentzel, chief of primary-care psychiatry at Beth Israel Medical Center. "They may exhibit negligence. A mother who is lethargic and lacks motivation due to her illness may have trouble with cleaning and feeding and medical care for the infant on the most basic level." March 11, 2007 - Popdirt noted that the Britney Spears hair auction on eBay with the asking price of $1 million was likely a violation of the site's policy against selling of body parts - despite their exception of hair, since normal human hair auctions the owner is not identified. The privacy concerns are apparent, given the ability to test for illegal drugs with a hair sample. Not to mention there was no consent given by Britney to have the salon sell her hair. After Popdirt contacted eBay yesterday for clarification, they have now cancelled the auction. The web site states: "This listing (330089956532) has been removed or is no longer available. Please make sure you entered the right item number. If the listing was removed by eBay, consider it canceled. Note: Listings that have ended more than 90 days ago will no longer appear on eBay."

I am a pretty big guy and at the time I was weighing 220lb and was extremely fit. We took two of those things. And it knocked my dick in the dirt. Then it hit her and it hit her hard. In that situation, your body temperature heats up and you can die. She was sweating and overheating and her breathing was getting real slow. Other people were panicking. But we got her out the back and up to the suite. I took her into the bathroom and threw her into the shower. She was unconscious. She tripped and fell. I was trying to hold her up and speak to her. She wasn't moving. It scared me. I was fu**ed up too and tripping out. I couldn't hold her up in the shower she was so fu**ed up. She slipped and hit her head on the shower. I remember looking down at her all crumpled in the tub with the water coming down. She looked so white and lifeless I thought she was dead. I thought, 'This bitch is going to fu**ing die right here in front of me.' But I managed to get her colder and colder. I slapped her in the face and was shaking her. Eventually, she came round and we were both just fu**ed. So we lay there naked on the bathroom floor for hours just talking." Read more.

March 11, 2007 - Time magazine profiled the sympathy Britney Spears has received since her head shaving, multiple trips to rehab, and attacking a paparazzo with an umbrella. 'Access Hollywood' co-anchor Billy Bush revealed that he and his producers decided against using the images of the singer's Wednesday night attack. "I couldn't justify it, not with my faith, not with my family," said Bush, who has three daughters, ages, 2, 6 and 8. "Here's a girl who's cracking. She's a young person who's got some problems. They're obvious. We don't need to add to them. I don't want blood on my hands in any way." Bush added, "People have got to have a conscience and back off.
