February 29, 2000 - More news on the Jennifer Aniston vs. Britney feud... Apparently Britney has more than a crush, her best friend and cousin Laura Lynne Covington told the Enquirer "Britney is obsessed with Brad. I mean, she is really obsessed." Another source close to Brit says "Britney tells everyone who will listen that she wants Brad - - and it's not just a crush. She's seriously making a play to steal him away from Jennifer." [hmm... sounds like a plot Celebrity Death Match will be salivating over!]

February 29, 2000 - LA's KIIS FM today reported that Britney Spears has hired Shania Twain to help her on her new album, in addition to a new vocal coach. Apparently she's setting out to modify her sound to compare to the talented Christina Aguilera, who beat her out last week for Best New Artist. Good to see even after all her success Brit ultimately wants to be highly regarded by her peers musically. As we had reported earlier, she had promised this album to be more 'mature'... we'll soon see.

February 27, 2000 - Jennifer Aniston apparently is pissed at Britney Spears who is said to keep a picture of Brad Pitt by her bedside which she kisses every night, this again coming from Dees Sleaze.

February 27, 2000 - News from the February 22nd edition of Dees Sleaze has news that Justin Timberlake was cheating on Britney with Nicole Appleton of All Saints in a recent trip to London.

February 25, 2000 - Big news out from Megastar concerning the Brit and Prince William courting. Apparently Britney is about to purchase a $1.5 million home just 20 minutes from the Prince and may soon move in there with her mother. The story goes on to say the two are in constant touch although still haven't met in person yet. She'd better get moving on that though, as pop rival Christina Aguilera has been sending William gifts herself in an attempt to lure the prince away from Britney.

February 25, 2000 - Britney Spears is nominated for Nickelodeon's 13th Annual Kids' Choice Awards in the category of Favorite Female Singer. The event will air from the legendary Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles, CA, on Saturday, April 15 from 8-9:30 p.m.

February 23, 2000 - Well Britney lost out to Christina in the Grammys for Best New Artist and as we expected, she fell into public pressure and didn't dress as revealing as the AMAs, although she did certainly look sexy. Rosie O'Donnell made reference to her toned out outfit as well but said she'd be naked in a supermarket freezer if she had Britney's body!

February 21, 2000 - Well unfortunately the Britney Spears usenet thread is getting repeatedly hit with fake nude pictures. We can only hope that at some point Britney will sick lawyers on 'David Hasslehoff'. 'Glenn Rogers', and the rest of the group that are humiliating Britney in this way. February 18, 2000 - Britney Spears dolls appear to be a big hit in England as The Seattle Times' Janine Dallas Steffan reports that the $22 dolls are fetching prices greater than $150 each, with the waitress doll being the most popular of the bunch. Also the majority of the buyers are adult males.

February 16, 2000 - Well Jay Leno had a joke last night about how Christina Aguilera and Britney were supposedely feuding, but his crack was that one argued "silicone!" while the other argued "saline!". As you know, abstracts.net is convinced Britney's boobs are real, and coming soon we'll feature chronological evidence to suggest this is the case and end the implant conspiracy theories.

February 15, 2000 - AWZ.com's survey reveals that teens feel equally divided on whether Britney should clean up her act in terms of wearing revealing clothing, with 46% voting Yes and No and 7% voting that it wouldn't be an issue of Brit were a male.

February 14, 2000 - Associated Press had a story out saying that Britney Spears actually calls her mother for comfort when she sees new rumors about herself, saying "I'll call her up, crying. I'll be devastated and she will help me deal," Spears goes on to say. "It's so weird. Every week, there's something in the tabloids. She's helped me just say, 'OK, whatever."'

February 10, 2000 - Britney Spears is on the cover and featured in the March issue of Nickelodeon Magazine, in which she discusses her three dogs, her new album, upcoming tour and distaste for fake people, and admits that she gets intimidated by fellow celebrities at awards shows. She also comments on her dolls by saying "It's a little weird. When I went home I saw my little sister playing with my doll and I was like, `This is kind of freaky.' There are a bunch of different ones out there and there's one that's funny because it's so ugly. I know I'm not the prettiest person in the world, but this doll is ugly."

February 10, 2000 - More comments from Brit's family, according to Britneybeat.com in which Britney's mom provides regular updates on her daughter, Britney has traded in her Mercedes 500SL in favor of a convertible Jaguar.
