June 30, 2000 - Dana Carvey was asked on Larry King tonight if more Hollywood celebritie should be involved in politics. Carvey sarcastically answered Christina Aguilera and Britney Spears are most qualified with global issues and should run the country.

June 30, 2000 - Britney is sending 85 students out of 200 specially picked by teachers to summer camp, all expenses paid. The camp is also going to be visited by Britney and her dancers if all goes according to plan.

June 29, 2000 - There's an illegal spliced mix of Eminem's 'The Real Slim Shady' with Britney Spears’ 'Oops!... I Did It Again' which is available via Napster.

June 29, 2000 - Worldpop reports that Britney Spears and Don Philip barely escaped death two years ago "We were flying from New York to Nashville and there was some electrical fault on the plane," adding "The life jackets came down, Britney burst into tears and I'm praying to God! Fortunately, the pilot made an emergency landing and we were fine."

June 28, 2000 - British Tabloid The People reports that Britney has composed a long letter to Prince William in efforts to meet up with him on a date.

June 28, 2000 - Dotmusic reports that Britney's scheduled guest appearances in Dawson's Creek have been cancelled, do to the cast objecting to her being on the show.

June 27, 2000 - Popcentric received accounts that Justin Timberlake was backstaage before Britney's performance in Scranton, PA Sunday. *NSYNC had two shows cancelled due to weather making this possible. This may quell rumors the two had broken up.

June 26, 2000 - Britney Spears will be performing Friday June 30th on the Today Show on NBC live from New York.

June 26, 2000 - Sonicnet reports Britney Spears has become a major shareholder in Sweet16.com, which will have a television and radio show plus website. Britney will perform at the Hollywood Bowl to celebrate the July 31st launch.

June 25, 2000 - Britney Spears and Justin Timberlake have reportedly broken up according to KIIS FM, who cites a story in the upcoming National Enquirer. They say this may be the reason their UK dates together were cancelled.

June 24, 2000 - Dotmusic reports that Britney Spears threw a temper tantrum during the video shoot of Lucky where she demanded a new outfit, yelled at the director, and had visitors sent off set, almost cancelling the entire shoot alltogether. Friends say she's in a bad mood because she's missing Justin Timberlake as both have busy schedules.

June 24, 2000 - Britney Spears will be amongst many celebrities taking part in World Voice 2000, which consists of recorded recitations of the pope's prayers for this special album due out in September.

June 24, 2000 - The New York Posts fashion editor Libby Callaway commented on Yahoo chat about Britney's Rolling Stone cover and 'teen-sexuality' saying "I think it is sort of scary. I know, I know...kids are growing up quick these days, but some things are sacred. I am not a prude at all, but I think it's a shame for teen pop stars to have to sell more than records to get recognition."

June 24, 2000 - Sandy Reed and Kathy Bryan of Kentwood are creating a museum which will be devoted to her early childhood, her tenure as a Mouseketeer, and her present status as a chart-topping pop singer, as well as a gift shop. No opening date has been set.

June 22, 2000 - Our poll asking "Who's your favorite young pop diva?" produced predictable results with 47.84% saying Britney Spears, 35.37% saying Christina Aguilera, 10.37% saying Jessica Simpson, and 6.42% voting for Mandy Moore. An amazing 19,031 votes were cast.

June 21, 2000 - Britney Spears is denying that she will be in a movie with *NSYNC in an interview with MuchMusic.

June 20, 2000 - Craig Kilborn mentioned Tiger's stunning US Open performance saying of one shot "Tiger's ball 'bounced off a tree, hit Kathie Lee Gifford in the head, had sex with Britney Spears, and then went into the cup for a hole in one."

June 20, 2000 - Smash Hits TV is reporting that earlier rumors of an *NSYNC Britney Spears co-billing in the UK won't come about because *NSYNC's already busy schedule. 

June 18, 2000 - New York magazine reports that *NSYNC and Britney Spears will likely team up for a movie that is 'kind of a remake of The Bodyguard, this according to Lance Bass.

June 17, 2000 - Prince William is commenting on constant tabloid reports of him being linked with Britney Spears, saying "There's been a lot of nonsense put about by PR companies. I don't like being exploited in this way, but as I get older it is going to be increasingly hard to prevent."

June 17, 2000 - Britney Spears may take part in July 29th's Challenge for the Children charity basketball game held by *NSYNC at St. John's University in New York.

June 17, 2000 - The Dallas Observer had a lengthy transcript of Britney's telephone interview with reporters. Some items we didn't mention earlier were that Britney heard Travis' cover of BOMT, saying "Actually, I was in the mall the other day and, um, I heard this song come on, and I was like, 'Oh, my Lordy!' It was so weird." She thought it was cool though. She then said the first time she heard herself on the radio was after her mom forced the station to play her song (she didn't know that at the time).

June 15, 2000 - E! Online's Ted Casablanca reports today that his sources tell him Britney Spears will pose nude in Playboy for their Spring Break 2001 issue, though Britney's rep denies the story.

June 14, 2000 - Rick Dees reported Wednesday that Britney Spears was listening to the Ellen K report Monday while doing a video shoot in LA. She was satisfied to know Ellen didn't paint a story of her as a loose floosy. Justin Timberlake went to the video shoot and spent two hours together and Rick said "the were a couple meant to be from heaven."

June 14, 2000 - Rick Dees reports that Planet Hollywood coming out of bankruptcy will pay $1 million for Britney Spears and Christina Aguilera, plus $5 million for *NSYNC to be spokespersons for their restaurant chain.

June 14, 2000 - Ellen K reports on Dees Sleaze Tuesday that Britney Spears and *NSYNC filmed a commercial for McDonalds in Vancouver, for the spot Britney got $1 million and *NSYNC got a total of $4 million. The commercials should begin airing in July.

June 13, 2000 - Star Magazine drops the bombshell that Britney Spears recently set up a date with Mark Wahlberg. The two were introduced at a small dinner party at a friends house in Malibu. Britney and Mark then took a romantic walk on the beach. Britney reportedly is planning to work with Walhberg on an upcoming movie, not to mention Britney is working on a song they can record together!

June 13, 2000 - A British TV station is planning on featuring an animation in celebration of Prince William's birthday that will show Britney yank down Will's trousers to his ankles to stop him from running away.

June 13, 2000 - Howard Stern mentioned Britney today when they were debating whether Shannon Elizabeth's breasts were real. Robin and Howard both agreed Britney's were real but there was more debate about Shannon. Howard thought they've both had growth spurts to explain the size increase.

June 6, 2000 - The New York Post reports that there is a rhyming celebrity slang in Britain and that Britney Spears means "beers" there, as in "Give us a couple of Britneys, luv."

June 5, 2000 - Rick Dees reports Britney Spears has signed a deal with Columiba TriStar to produce and star in her own TV show, similar to Beverly Hills 90210.

June 5, 2000 - Ellen K reports Britney Spears spent $3000 on  Prada shoes at the Beverly Hills Neiman Marcus.

June 5, 2000 - Rick Dees reported at a recent *NSYNC concert in Tampa last month, Britney was there with his cap covering her face, meeting Justin afterwards with the two left arm in arm kissing according to witnesses.

June 5, 2000 - Britney will be featured on Access Hollywood tomorrow night discussing her Fox TV special.

June 3, 2000 - Britney's Hawaiian adventure will air next week. Fox's special "Britney in Hawaii" is scheduled to air on Wednesday, June 7th at 9 p.m. They've played previews for the show on Fox lately. Destiny's Child and Joe also appear in the show.
