September 30, 2000 - A pair of Britney's autographed pictures are featured in another eBay auction. The photos (items #450956003 and #451048268) are unbid at $24.99 and ends October 6th.

September 29, 2000 - Thirsty.com is floating the rumor that Britney's mom is worried that her having a loft in New York's Greenwich Village where she won't be able to keep an eye on Britney will cause the place to turn into a "lovenest", and that her daughter might be tempted to lose her virginity... Though this doesn't jive with positive comments her mom made on the journal at her official site.

September 28, 2000 - This is a rumored comment Nick Lachey made on whether Christina or Britney would win in a fight that was reported on a message board yesterday: "My money is on Britney, because Christina is a SKELETON! September 28, 2000 - Worldpop reveals that Britney has signed a deal with my favorite show brand, Sketchers, to advertise its sneakers, shoes and sandals. Terms were not disclosed, though she reportedly got $6 million for her Clairol affiliation.

Online's Ted Casablanca responded to a questioner's negative thoughts towards Ben Affleck going for a teenager like Britney, saying, "Ben Affleck is a single, hot, young movie star who makes millions and millions and millions of dollars a year. September 24, 2000 - Powerman 5000 blasted Britney Spears in a concert in Honolulu, screaming "I think it's time to take the music back!" and receiving a chorus of boos when Britney's name was mentioned, reports the Star Bulletin.

September 24, 2000 - Veteran rocker Jon Bon Jovi is commenting on whether Britney or *NSYNC will be long term successes, saying "Will any of those guys be around [in] ten years? Who knows? But once upon a time, people thought we were a fluke, too."

September 24, 2000 - Worldpop reports Britney Spears and Justin Timberlake were again spotted out together Monday in Georgia, celebrating at an Atlanta restaurant The Boundary with 100 crew, cast and dancers.

September 24, 2000 - Worldpop reports that flooding in the area that Britney's mansion is being built may delay it's December '00 completion.

September 23, 2000 - Britney Spears commenting on Travis' version of Baby One More Time, says it was "so weird" and "really bizarre." She adds "I thought it was cool. It was a totally different vibe from what I did." Travis frontman Fran Healy says of the song, "Personally, I think she's quite harmless. I was afraid a lot of people wouldn't enjoy that song because they don't like the videos or Britney Spears. But it's wrong to fob off a perfectly great song because of the way it's being marketed. We opened a door to maybe a lot of people who didn't like it in the first place; now they've got a version they can listen to."

September 23, 2000 - Kiss 95.7's Hollywood Report reveals that Britney's next video, Stronger, will include another stripping type manuever with Brit doing a very seductive dance with a chair, which the video's director says she'll "really, really loving that chair." September 21, 2000 - E! Online's Ted Casablanca reveals Justin and Britney are still house hunting, we presume in Los Angeles.

September 21, 2000 - Rick Dees reported (originally in the Star) on Dees Sleaze today that Britney Spears played strip poker with Ben Affleck, and she lost 6 hands in a row, where she ended up in her bra and panties. They later heard that after everyone else at the party left, Britney stayed the night with Ben. A caller phoned in too tell about how Britney showed up at a salon the next day with no makeup, hair undone, and a t-shirt with no bra... "headlights showing" as the eyewitness attested.

September 20, 2000 - Interesting story out of tennessean.com, as they report Britney and Justin had a great time in Nashville. The two joined Britney's crew and Innosense in the private upstairs room at the Bound'ry for drinks, eats and tour awards. September 20, 2000 - An eyeraising appraisal of Britney's Elle piece was done by a Thirsty.com member, check here for the full report (which came from a fan of Madonna). Elle reveals that Britney was heavily using the "F" word during the interview. Speaking of the mag, Ellen K of Dees Sleaze thinks there is a possibility that she's had implants but Rick Dees says her pictures in Elle magazine suggests they look very, very natural. September 20, 2000 - Teenmag.com reports that Britney is reportedly taking classes to earn her GED in French, History and accounting.

September 20, 2000 - Apparently there are delays because of heavy rains building Britney's new mansion, Serendipity, according to Worldpop.

September 19, 2000 - We hear Rick Roberts indeed has left on vacation from Syracuse New York to New Orleans. As fate would have it, Britney's performing on Wednesday at the Superdome. September 19, 2000 - Speaking of Britney's house, her official site has announced the winner of the Name Britney's House contest. The winner? Serendipity.

September 18, 2000 - Also in the Star, construction photos of Britney's $3 million dollar mansion in Kentwood. The estate will have a 10 foot high fence with spikes on top and staffed with security. The hope is the project will be completed  by Christmas.

September 18, 2000 - The Pretenders front woman Chrissie Hynde is taking shots at Britney, *NSYNC, and The Backstreet Boys for their commercials endorsing McDonalds and Burger King. She says of the pop acts "People like that know the score, they've made their choice. They know where the stuff comes from, they know what a slaughterhouse is. That's their choice, that's what they want to represent that's what they want to be part of. As a matter of fact I probably wouldn't associate with people like that."

September 18, 2000 - Shocking allegations from the Star this week as they show photos which they claim show a scar on Britney's armpit indicating she's had Breast implants inserted below the muscle. Dr. Sheldon Rosenthal is quoted as saying "Britney looks las if she had her implants inserted through the armit and placed under the chest muscle, because there's little or no bounce." Judge for yourself, but to me it looks like a natural indentation.

September 17, 2000 - Lynne is commenting on Britney's VMA performance in her latest diary entry, saying "All of a sudden, I saw a vision my daughter that I had never before witnessed. She was breathtaking! I was so proud of her!" She also reveals that Britney is buying a new apartment in New York and is working with a contractor to make some changes to it.

September 15, 2000 - WAKS in Ohio is running a promo offering choice of breast augmentation, liposuction, or a tummy tuck in their Body Like Britney contest. The 10 best sumissions will be voted by fans to determine an eventual winner. Though Britney's people are none too pleased over the event, as a source revealed "When Britney heard about this stunt, she was horrified. She thought the idea of someone having an operation to look like here was just sick." A Spears spokesman also said "Britney and her record company are in no way connected to this competition. September 14, 2000 - Huge news from the latest edition of Elle as Britney finally admits her and Justin are dating, saying "Justin and I totally laughed about it. I told him during my show I would wear a big-ass ring just to keep people talking. When you're really comfortable with someone you love, the silence is the best. And that's how me and J are. When we're in a room together, we don't have to say anything. And when we go out to a club, it's like we're the only two people there. It's for real." She also reveals she may not be a virgin, admitting her favorite TV show is HBO's Sex in the City because "All the things they talk about are so true. Like one show was talking about how guys can have sex without love, so women can do it too? And I have girlfriends who do that. But I just really have to be into someone. If not, what's the purpose?" September 14, 2000 - Britney Spears has Mardi Gras organizers stunned as she invited herself to this year's parade despite not being invited. Organizer Arthur Hardy said "It came as a complete shock to people in town that Britney Spears thinks she is involved again this year. We simply never invite the same celebrity twice in a row and we have not invited her this year. We already have celebrities involved for this year although they are not announced yet. Britney has surprised everyone by saying this."

September 14, 2000 - Obscure pop duo Daphne And Celeste are predicting doom for the teen pop divas, saying "Britney Spears won't be around for much longer, she'll probably just start doing TV shows, Christina Aguilera is destroying her career in various ways, Mandy Moore will probably become a VJ, and Jessica Simpson will probably become the new Celine Dion or something like that."

September 13, 2000 - Steven Jenkins of Third Eye Blind was on eYada.com today talking about Britney Spears on the Rush & Malloy show saying of her strip tease, "To the amazement of the mothers of these 6 year old girls out there that want to be here... they can't wait to get fake t*tties." He also stuck up for Eminem's bashing of her, adding "I don't think that Britney and Christina need me to protect them from Eminem."

September 13, 2000 - Well the ongoing soap opera that is rumors of DJ Rick Roberts dating Britney continues, while today Rick's agent denied any such involvement two message posters today claim a meeting at the airport over the weekend between the two and that Rick will be flying to New Orleans on the 18th to meet up with Brit.

September 12, 2000 - From two sources... Rick Dees reports Monday Britney was spotted smoking... and making out with Justin Timberlake at Twirl. His sidekick Ellen K reports Brit has been seen several times smoking. The New York Post claims they may get the photos later this week of Britney smoking. Today the Post reported that she was sitting in Justin's lap while sharing a smoke at Twirl.

September 12, 2000 - Rage Against the Machine guitarist Tom Morello to LA radio station KROQ on Tim C's strange behavior at the VMAs "Every bass player worth his salt has a little bit of Sid Vicious in his heart. I think he was whipped into that fervor by Britney Spears' version of 'Satisfaction.' That put him over the edge."

September 12, 2000 - Tino Ferri, spokeswomen for the National Association Of Women Teachers in Scotland is blasting Britney's strip tease saying "Britney should have a cold shower. I hear boys and girls rhapsodizing about her and would hate them to think her behavior is normal." And warns her and other teen pop stars "Some children have so little else in their lives that they look up to these teenage idols. I think these people should take their responsibility seriously."

September 12, 2000 - From the message boards: Mitchell Fink from New York Daily News was on Showbiz Today on CNN saying "Spears and Aguilera were getting along to the shock of many in the club, but there was no question that both were vying for the attention of Spears on again off again beau Justin Timberlake. Like the Grammy's Christina won, Timberlake and the mini diva were all over each other towards the end of the night. Yet, they left with seperate parties. September 11, 2000 - 101britney.com is reporting a rumor that Britney had an animated conversation with a WNTQ Syracuse DJ named Rick Roberts, telling him via cell phone after the show "My outfit was daring, I told you that. There is no reason to be jealous, I felt and looked sexy." Adding "Whatever Rick....you know I didn't do it to make you mad. I knew you were going to call." So who is Rick? September 11, 2000 - The Star reports that Britney lost one of her fans after she mimicked her pleading for a autograph in a Hollywood nightclub. Seems the girls friend was still in the bathroom after the fan left and told her of Brit's diss. She later found Brit and returned the autograph ripped in half.

September 11, 2000 - Howard Stern said today on his show he thought that Britney and Christina looked great at the VMAs, unlike Jennifer Lopez. And of Eminem, Howard couldn't understand why Eminem had a problem with Christina and Britney, since they all are the same thing... teen pop idols.

September 11, 2000 - Marshall Blonsky, who studies signs and symbols says of Britney Spears told Worldpop "skin is symbolic of youth and it is the only weapon youth has." He added that it says, "don't have money, I don't have power, I don't have social position but I have this great body. This is my power." [uhh, he was talking about Britney?]

September 11, 2000 - Eminem lashed out at Britney and Christina at his first VMA performance in LA on Saturday "I did get a chance to run into them backstage and talk to them for a minute, and Christina and Britney and I have officially squashed the beef. It's all cool between me and Christina and Britney... Do you all believe me?" Afterwards he brought out his familiar blowup dolls and rubbed their faces against his crotch, screaming "F***ing c**ts!"

September 9, 2000 - The always controversial GroupieCentral.com is back with their VMA report, saying of Brit and Justin: "They were definitely together, hanging out at the show and partying together afterwards. But we can tell you that this is a case of she being more into him than he is with her. Justin has a roving eye and was keeping his options open, if you know what we mean." They also add "We also hear that Christina is very attracted to Justin Timberlake, but Britney was making sure everyone knew that Justin was with Britney."

September 9, 2000 - Britney has been added to the Music Mania 2000 television special, which will air September 15 at 8 p.m. ET on Fox television. She wasn't at the original show but will use video footage from her recent appearance at the Orlando Centroplex.

September 9, 2000 - Thanks from Kathy on the message boards, who reports: from Hot 100, Britney told them she would most likely got to the VMA after party with Christina and talk about all of the cute guys there. Janet Charlton from Star magazine was on FOX news, said that Britney and Christina were at the party thrown by Tommy Mattola and were attached at the hip. They sat at the same table as Justin, JC, and Darren Henson. She also mentioned Justin's flirtation with Aaliyah did not bother Britney at all saying quote "She was much to busy  giggling and whispering  with Christina."

September 9, 2000 - Entertaindom.com reports that Britney nearly jumped out of her seat in horror as Marlon Wayans exposed his bottom at the VMAs. According to an onlooker, "Britney was so shocked. It was hilarious, she knew to expect some controversial things, but she was caught out by that. She didn't know the cameras were going to zoom in on her."

September 9, 2000 - News of the World reports that Britney's rep confirmed that she's fired all her old dancers, saying "Yes, it’s true. Britney wanted a change...and she got it."

September 8, 2000 - The Sun reports that Britney Spears left Joe's Pub last night after the VMAs just 4 seconds after *NSYNC's Justin Timberlake. They also report Britney's added added three more UK dates to her British tour.

September 8, 2000 - TRL guest correspondent Hillary Burton was snubbed by both Christina and Britney last night and joked to Carson today of the snobbery "I dunno, they didn't win..."

September 9, 2000 - A few more pictures from the VMA's as Britney and Christina are shown presenting along with Brit entering the show.

September 8, 2000 - Reaction was heavily mixed on Britney's wardrobe, or lack thereof last night. Sisqo gave it props to TRL while EW said of the performance "Spears donned one of Elizabeth Berkley's Showgirls hand-me-downs to "sync" a pseudo-metal reinterpretation of Oops… I Did It Again." Harsher reaction came from eYada.com's Lori Kramer, who today called the outfit "skanky and disgusting!" Well we're leaving it up to you in our latest poll... Skanky or sexy?

September 8, 2000 - Well our poll asking if you think Britney is a virgin has come to an end, and an overwealming 61.8% (out of 3118 total votes) surprisingly don't believe her, even though the voting is much closer on longtime mate Justin's side. This despite one has publically professed her purity while we can only rely on inuendo from Chris on Justin's side.

September 7, 2000 - Well no awards for Britney, but her performance and more importantly her outfit will be the most talked about since Jennifer Lopez at the Grammys. Afterwards, Wayans joked "Girl went from the Mickey Mouse Club to the strip club!" Among the Brit highlights, a joint appearance to introduce Whitney Houston, though Eminem later thought MTV set them up as he won the Video of the Year award.

September 7, 2000 - E! Online's Ted Casablanca tells us that Justin and Britney are "definitely" looking to buy a house together in Los Angeles, according to those close to *NSYNC.

September 7, 2000 - Also from entertaindom, Britney Spears looks set to make an appearance at London waxworks museum,Madame Tussaud's. She's been heavily requested by visitors of the museum, and a Spears spokesman said "Britney would consider it an honor to be a waxworks at Madame Tussaud's."

September 7, 2000 - Finally from entertaindom, Britney is admitting to feeling guilty over that her parents bankrupted themselves trying to make her famous. A pal admitted "She thinks her parents went broke trying to develop her career, and so she's doing everything she can to earn millions so the creditors won't ever come back."

September 5, 2000 - dotmusic reports that Britney fired all of her male dancers for being too ugly, as an insider told the site "She didn't like the ones she had -- so she fired them on the spot. She just wanted all her dancers to be really good-looking and hunky. She wanted everything to be perfect."

September 4, 2000 - Kristen Baldwin of Entertainment Weekly is weighing in on Mariah being excluded from VMA nominations, saying "The worst part is, since she didn't score any nominations, Mariah may not even show up at the VMAs, and that'll deprive viewers the pleasure of making fun of her sure to be supertrashy outfit." She had though Heartbreaker deserved a best video nomination.

September 3, 2000 - The Star reports that Britney was out until closing at the Las Palmas Club in Hollywood, finally leaving at 2:15 am. A witness told the Star "She looked completely out of it as she left the club, and her face was very flushed." Those in Brit's inner circle feel powerless in controlling Spears, as a source told the tabloid "Her wish is everybody else's command. Every whim of hers is answered. And if she wants to party, she parties."

September 3, 2000 - Thirsty.com reveals that Britney's project of decorating a childrens hospital in New Orleans is going ahead, a spokesperson for the hospital gushed "We're really pleased with the plans. The kids already have so much Britney stuff in their rooms -- their walls are adorned with her posters anyway. They will love the fact Britney is going to be designing a room for them."

September 2, 2000 - Shirley Manson of Garbage is again making headlines blasting other musicians though she's softened on Britney, saying "It is indeed true that I've softened my hard-line approach toward Britney [Spears] simply because if we're going to have any such vacuous pop stars in our midst, it's all right if it's Britney because she has a sense of humor, unlike [Christina Aguilera] and that hideous creature Mandy Moore. I try not to dis too many of my fellow female musicians, but I make an exception when they really hit rock bottom. Mandy Moore is foul, you must admit. She is absolutely hideous. I want to slap her from here to Tuesday."

September 2, 2000 - Thirsty.com reports that Mick Jagger was so impressed with producer Rodney Jerkins' work on Spears' version of Satisfaction, he contacted Jerkins to work on his upcoming solo project.

September 2, 2000 - Two autographed pictures of Britney are up for bids on eBay. The pictures (items #422844799 and #423372113) are bid at $9.99 and $25.49 and end September 4th and 8th respectively.
