May 30, 2001 - Howard Stern talked about Lady Marmalade Tuesday as he likes the #1 song. Howard says Christina has a weird walk now, not quite bow-legged, where she looks like she just got anal and Robin added it looked like she got finished off from a whole football team before the video shoot.

May 30, 2001 - Beapimp.com has rated Christina Aguilera, Da Inaugreal 'Skank Fo Da Month on its website. GrooveMaster B says of Aguilera, "What this girl is doin', It's just bad business sense." Read more.

May 30, 2001 - Christina Aguilera was featured on Monday night's replay of the World Music Awards in Monaco as she performed Nobody Wants to Be Lonely with Ricky Martin. Christina's flailing arm movement during the song appeared to whack Ricky across the face in the performance but otherwise the pair performed admirably. May 29, 2001 - Shelly Kearns gave a thumbs up to Jorge on the Live Daily message boards gushing, "What do I think of Jorge? I love him to death!! He's just the sweetest guy you could ever meet, and, most of all, he treats my baby girl well. He's considered a part of our family."

May 27, 2001 - Missy Elliot talked to Launch.com about Lady Marmalade as the single hit number 1 saying, "In listening to the record, we knew that whoever sung the lightest would sing first, and Mya has the lightest voice. So Mya would sing first, and then we would gradually build because Christina has the strongest voice, so Pink would go second, and we would put Kim in the middle, with the little rhyming part, and then we would let Christina take it out along with everybody else. So that's how we were able to fit who would go where."

May 27, 2001 - Patti Labelle commented on the remake of her hit Lady Marmalade by saying to AP, "The girls who are doing it now, they're doing such a wonderful job. The video is beautiful and I'm really happy. Whenever I hear it, I get a glow."

May 27, 2001 - Christina Aguilera did a video clip that was shown on the TRL Retirement Home special on MTV, as her video for Genie In A Bottle remarkably got the #5 position despite never being voted #1 on TRL during its run. Come On Over and What A Girl Wants also made the top 30 list and John Norris retired people from picking on Christina citing Eminem and Fred Durst.

May 25, 2001 - Peoplenews reports the Daily Express is now saying Britney Spears and Christina Aguilera have been offered $10 million each to strip for an online magazine. Britney has refused outright, but Christina is thinking about it.

May 24, 2001 - Britney Spears and Christina Aguilera have both been offered $2 million to pose naked on the website lethalsports.com. This site's offer says, "They are so sweet, so innocent. Now we want to see if Britney Spears and Christina Aguilera are all grown up." Deadline to accept the offer is May 28th.

May 23, 2001 - Christina Aguilera is turning up the heat to prevent Warlock Records from releasing Just Be Free on June 19th as she's filed a lawsuit in California for improper use of her name and license on the upcoming album. Read more.

May 22, 2001 - Shelly Kearns revealed Christina is going to be on the BET special for Whitney Houston on June 19th where she'll perform a Whitney hit.

May 19, 2001 - Star reports Christina Aguilera was pulled aside by a guard at Abercrombie & Fitch in LA's Century City mall after setting off alarms and not being able to find her receipt. She was then escorted back into the store where an embarrased cashier told Christina he'd forgotten to remove the security tag off of one of her purchases. Christina took the error in stride and even gave the clerk her autograph.

May 18, 2001 - Christina Aguilera talked about being a "proud, sexual girl -- a woman, actually" to Britain's NOW magazine. Christina adds, "I'm no virgin, I'm all for female sexuality and taking the sexual power away from the guys. They've had it for way too long." Read more.

May 11, 2001 - Lance Bass took a shot at Christina jokingly on TRL Thursday after Lady Marmalade played at number 6. Lance told Carson, "No, no. Christina is a great singer and everything, but she does look like Twisted Sister. I don't know i guess you have to see the movie." Carson told him he was going in her dog house for that comment.

May 11, 2001 - Christina Aguilera, Lil' Kim, Mya & Pink will perform their first and only live performance of Lady Marmalade at The 2001 MTV Movie Awards on June 7th.

May 10, 2001 - Christina phoned into TRL and talked to Carson about wanting to take time releasing albums, as she thinks it's more about quality and not quantity. Christina talked about Lady Marmalade and her house, which she apparently is moving out of already as she really didn't like it. May 10, 2001 - MTVasia.com reports the ABC television special Christina Aguilera had in December will be released to both VHS and DVD by Image Entertainment. Christina Aguilera: My Reflection will be available June 5th.

May 9, 2001 - Shelly Kearns was confronted on the LiveDaily message boards about why she gets so bothered by rumors and 'scours the internet denying them'. Shelly responded by saying, "Scouring? Sweetheart, you obviously don't know what I do--or what I'm even here for. I just mind my own business and come here and, trust me honey, people bring all the rumors to me. No scouring needed."

May 6, 2001 - From Saturday Night Live's Weekend Update; "Researchers have found that bottle-nosed dolphins can recognize their own reflections in mirrors placed in their tanks. The mirror study is part of a larger effort to identify and weed out vampire dolphins. Scientists believe that the dolphins' ability to use the mirror gives them a distinct advantage over Christina Aguilera."

May 6, 2001 - Christina Aguilera is featured in an autographed photo auction on ebay. The 8x10 picture, item #1428606000, is unbid at $14.99 and the auction ends May 13th.

May 5, 2001 - Shelly Kearns angrily replied to a post asking if Christina was pregnant on the LiveDaily message boards groaning, "Ugh... love this topic. You guys have NO idea. If she's genetically thin, a gazillion people fly off the handle and say she's anorexic. If she gains a little weight, people fly off the handle and report she's pregnant. Any idea how sickening that is and how old it gets after awhile? Sheesh!"

May 5, 2001 - Shelly Kearns responded on the LiveDaily message boards about Christina 'crying' in Monaco saying, "What???? NOT! May I ask, honestly, where on earth did you guys hear this? Last I checked (yesterday), she was happy as can be... shopping in some marketplace in Monaco. She's not unhappy at all! I'd tell you if she were."

May 4, 2001 - The Sun reports Christina Aguilera complained to them about the weather in Monaco saying, "I came here for a tan. what on earth has happened to the weather?"

May 4, 2001 - Peoplenews.com reports Christina Aguilera burst into tears after seeing her $1500 a night room at Hermitage in Monte Carlo complaining it was too small. A source revealed, "She’s got a reputation for being a bit of a diva but this was ridiculous, This is one of the best places in Monte Carlo and other people are perfectly happy with it."

May 4, 2001 - More on the Hermitage hotel room fiasco with Worldpop, who reports a diva-ish Christina Aguilera complained that because she's sold "millions of records" she should have a bigger room.

May 4, 2001 - The Daily Mail reports Christina Aguilera has insisted she has no interest in Prince William snapping to reporters, "I haven’t actually met the guy and I have no plans to." A friend of Aguilera's sneered "I think Prince wotsisname is the last person on her mind."

May 2, 2001 - The Los Angeles Times surveyed "22 of the most powerful executives in the record business" for comments on the future of top current musicians, including the Christina. An executive said of Aguilera, "The thing Christina has going for her is that she's a real singer. If she can just get with the right producers and writers, she has a real shot at lasting."
