Ash blasted Fred Durst and Christina Aguilera for their collaboration at
the Video Music Awards last year with guitarist Charlotte Hatherley saying,

on the Christina stalker as the story apparently originated from the Enquirer.
They report she's not moving into a home she just purchased at LA's Mulholland
Estates because she fears a stalker in LA, so Aguilera is staying on the
East Coast for now.
August 23, 2001 - Miss Teen
New York slammed Christina Aguilera's heavy use of makeup during the question
and answer phase of the awards last night saying, "Her make-up and eye
shadows is too much, i love u Christina but ur eye shadows is a bit too
much." Co-host Mandy Moore then said afterwards talking about the pageant
segment, "New York kinda cracked me up."
August 23, 2001 - New Zealand's
Xtra reports Jessica Simpson is clarifying her opinion of Britney and Christina
saying, "I did something for a magazine a while ago and they completely
twisted my words on Britney and Christina just to make the story look better.
And that really frustrates me, because I've always been so positive about
both of them. I think Britney is an amazing performer and I think Christina's
an amazing singer, and they work as hard as me, if not harder. I would
never say anything negative about somebody, especially somebody I respect.
It just sucks that people twist your words like that."

on the LiveDaily board suggest that "Christina doesn't want to stay in
her house in L.A. because she has received a letter from some guy who says
he's been watching her and knows where she lives." This was supposedly
from a radio DJ while The Sun backed the story saying they had to leave
the mansion Christina just moved Jorge into last month after a crazed fan
threatened "to pay her a visit."
August 20, 2001 - MTV has
been airing promos for the VMAs and they say Christina will be there, and
considering how many awards Lady Marmalade is nominated for, it shouldn't
be a surprise. It doesn't appear she'll be performing.
August 20, 2001 - Following
Christina's work with PETA, we have to wonder if she's also endorsing the
organization's new war on her favorite food stop, Wendy's. Read more.

reports Christina Aguilera was the first celebrity to sign a letter from
PETA to the South Korean government asking that the country stop its alleged
"abuse of dogs and cats killed for food."
August 19, 2001 - The Star
reports Christina Aguilera was livid after she was carded at Bellagio in
Las Vegas. Christina whined loudly after getting turned down trying to
buy drinks, complaining she had only five months until she was 21.

reports Britney Spears, Gwen Stefani and Christina Aguilera were some of
the celebs who turned out to see Alicia Keys at L.A.'s House of Blues this
week.

Stephanie McGrath reviewed Christina Aguilera's Just Be Free album saying,
"It's not hard to understand why the singer hoped it would stay locked

spoofed on celebrities with their own companies and Christina's was "Christina
Face By Sherwin Williams Productions."
August 15, 2001 - Anna Kournikova
is interviewed in the September issue of FHM where she revealed her doberman
is named 'Genie', like genie in a bottle, prompting the inteviewer to ask
if she was a Christina Aguilera fan. Anna replied, "I've listened to her,
but I didn't call him that because of the song."
August 15, 2001 - The audio
tape of Mary J. Blige has resurrected talk about her controversial comments
towards Christina Aguilera. During a recent interview with MTV, Blige said
the Mary Jane Girls girl group she's developing will be "soulful like Christina
Aguilera" while Mary supposedly told 98.1 FM in Tucson when asked about
the kissing the hand incident, "What? [Laughs] I've been hearing this..
I just recently met Christina at the BET Awards! She's a very Nice and
Talented Girl ! I don't know.. What is the Media Coming to?! [Laughs]"

back this up.

Francisco Examiner slammed Christina Aguilera opening their story with
"Oh my yes, parents just love it when their prepubescent girls want to

profiled young stars having a hard time dealing with the pressures of fame
including Christina Aguilera. Christina's manager Irving Azoff revealed,
"When I first met Christina, she had the most badly planned, overbooked
schedule I've seen in my 30 years in the business. She was getting chest
infections and throat infections. Labels and managers don't know how to
say no, and these kids are getting burned out -- just like the young tennis
stars used to. It's a matter of whether they break physically or mentally."

official site reports there is still no official release date for Christina's

prompted her to stop leaving diary messages as well, with no updates since
June 4th.
August 7, 2001 - The Sun
reports Bloomingdale's asked Eminem to come up with a display for Enyce,
and he suggested dummy of himself on a toilet surrounded by posters of
Britney Spears and Christina Aguilera. A store boss turned down the idea
saying, "The toilet would have been very hip, but not tasteful."

Bodies magazine has dubbed Christina Aguilera as the celebrity with 'nightmare
dress sense' after a habit of wearing a horrendous assortment of outfits.

and exchanged the following conversation; Rudy "I think Britney is very

August 5, 2001 - Former teen
idol Leif Garrett is blasting Christina Aguilera in September's Spin magazine
calling her "The Skank, Diva Wannabe." When asked what's wrong with Aguilera,
he says, "I think she's just too young. It shows. She's a really good singer,
but she should tone it down." Garrett advises her, "The next time you're
on VH1's Divas Live, don't try to out-scat Aretha Franklin." Garrett picked
Mandy Moore as his favorite of the current crop of pop stars.
August 3, 2001 - Most people
are assuming the shot former teen star Debbie Gibson took at a young singer
who fluctuated her voice and waves her hands while singing was Christina,
causing angry reaction by Augilera fans.
August 2, 2001 - Twisted
Singer singer Dee Snyder was on the MTV 20th Birthday Bash saying Christina
has stolen his look and cursed, "I'll sue her, you bit**!"
