September 29, 2001 - Sonicnet
talked to Christina Aguilera about her plans on her follow-up album to
her self titled 1999 debut as she admits to wanting time taken to get it
done right. Aguilera says, "[I want] to really dig in and take my time
with it, I haven't actually had a second album yet. I did the Latin album
and my Christmas album — side projects all within themselves — but I'm
really excited to be writing my next album, collaborating with other people
and going to a different place with it. It's going to a more personal place."
Aguilera's publicist says not to expect a new album until 2002.

26, 2001 - The MTV Europe Music Awards have been announced where Lady Marmalade
is nominated for Best Song. The show that will be held November 8 in Frankfurt,

September 23, 2001 - During
an online interview with Getmusic.com earlier this week, Drowning Pool's
vocalist Dave Williams responded to whether he liked Britney Spears or
Christina Aguilera better by saying Britney, but added "I like Mandy Moore
better than any of them."
September 22, 2001 - According
to Spanish website Univision, Christina Aguilera has recently gotten breast
implants and the site shows pictures of the singer admiring her new, larger
boobs. They claim, "It's obvious that is not the miraculous bra, it helps,

pop community is well represented in the What's Going On remake that benefits
AIDS research and relief to victims of the September 11 terrorist attacks.
Included on the song are NSYNC, Christina Aguilera, Britney Spears, the

September 21, 2001 - This
week's Star blind item seems to point to Christina Aguilera and boyfriend
Jorge Santos as it states, "This young female Grammy winning songbird,
known for her skimpy outfits, is often accompanied by a buff, dark-haired
young man she introduces as her boyfriend. The buxom star is oblivious
to the fact that her beau actually has eyes for other, dark haired young
men. He has starred in several triple-X gay features. Her entourage has
been whispering about it, but is hesitant to tell our girl that the one
she wants is living a lie."
September 19, 2001 - Shelly
Kearns posted a diary update on the official website of Christina Aguilera.
Shelly commented on the pain she felt about the horrific terrorist attacks
in the United States as well as the tragic death of Aaliyah. Shelly hasn't
posted recently as she apparently has been suffering from some sort of
'exotic virus' according to her doctors which made her legs weak. Read

Latin Grammys, which were scheduled to include performances by Ricky Martin,
Carlos Santana, Jennifer Lopez, Nelly Furtado, Christina Aguilera, Destiny's
Child and P. Diddy, appear unlikely to be made up. Read more.

Aguilera, her mother Shelly Kearns, and the entire Aguilera family issued
a statement about the horrific events of Tuesday in the United States expressing

Aguilera made the US Weekly 2001 Best Dressed List's Bring Up The Rear
(ie. worst-dressed) section where her poodle type hairdo and outfit at
the Blockbuster Entertainment Awards was mocked. Joked author Cathryn Michon,
"First the poodle ripped my dress, and now it won't let go of my head!"
Comedian Doug Benson commented, "Step right up and shoot the water in the
clown's mouth!"

to the terrorist acts against the United States on Tuesday the second annual

press conference following the Video Music Awards, Christina Aguilera told
the reporters she's wanting to create a more soulful sound on her upcoming

York Post is reporting that Christina Aguilera and Pink engaged in a lesbian
kiss during a game of spin the bottle at Pink's 22nd birthday party in

Jagger presented the ladies from Lady Marmalade with the Video Music Award

Rouge won Best Video from a Film at the Video Music Awards last night and
Christina made reference to her often critized 'big hair' in her acceptance

September 7, 2001 - The women
of Moulin Rouge, Christina Aguilera, Lil Kim, Pink, and Mya presented the
Best Male Video to Moby for Southside. Later, Daphne Aguilera (Andy Dick)
did a Roberto Benigni by climbing the seats while attacking Christina Aguilera.
Daphne told her, "I saw you giving me the evil eye. Let me tell you something,
honey. I was singing and dancing before you were a little tickle in your
pappy's sack."... jokingly of course. Christina was a great sport about
it as well.

Aguilera was interviewed with Lil' Kim, and Pink on the Video Music Awards
red carpet where they were asked if they'd work together again. Christina
said, "Of course, this is the closest I get to be in a girl group."

A jam packed lineup of top pop stars, including Christina Aguilera, will
collaborate for a remake of Marvin Gaye's "What's Going On," to raise funds

interview with Metal-Sludge.com, Megadeth's Dave Mustaine gave his opinion
of Britney Spears and Christina Aguilera saying, " I think that Britney
has blown more things than the gearbox on her Ferrari lately and Christina
is living proof that you can polish a turd."
September 3, 2001 - In an
abstracts.net poll asking if you think Christina and Jorge are really a
couple, 54.3% said yes while 45.7% said no, with 623 total votes cast.
September 1, 2001 - Las Vegas
oddsmaker Joe Lupo has given Lady Marmalade the nod as favorite to win
MTV's video of the year giving it 3-2 odds. Beautiful Day by U2 is at 2-1,
Missy Elliott's Get Ur Freak On at 4-1; Janet Jackson's All For You at
5-1; Fatboy Slim's Weapon of Choice at 10-1; and Eminem's Stan at 15-1.
Betting on the awards is prohibited though in Nevada since the outcome
is known.
September 1, 2001 - The Associated
Press is reporting 8 high school students have filed suit against Salinas
High School for removing pictures of Britney Spears and Christina Aguilera
with bare midriffs in their yearbook and censoring quotes such as "School
