December 29, 2001 -
Remember this was a posting from a 'friend' posted on a message board,
but according to the person, "A friend of mine met Jorge at a dance class
yesterday and he said that Christina and him were NOT together anymore.
I know some people were trying to figure out what Christina's mom meant
by "single" so now ya know. Jorge is not working on any tours or anything
right now, he's just going to various dance classes. Just thought I would
let you guys know."

December 29, 2001 - A fan
on the Christina Aguilera message board, Inlovewithxtina, was banned by
moderators of the board for posting the item reported last night on our
site from US Weekly discussing a possible sex tape featuring Christina
and an unidentified man. Under the new name downwithchristina!, the poster
blasts, "This is completley unfair! All I did was post an article that
was in Us Weekly magazine about a Xtina Sex Tape. I even refrained from
talking about her and sex saying 'We're not supposed to talk about it!'
If its in a magazine I should be able to report it! Please let me back
in!" The topics discussing the sex tape have all been locked by moderators
as well. UPDATE: The mentioned thread was deleted by moderators.
December 29, 2001 - Well
again Mariah Carey dominated one of our polls, this time asking the favorite
song of the year. Carey came out on top with her hit, Loverboy, which beat
out the Christina Aguilera, Mya, Pink, and Lil' Kim collaboration, 'Lady
Marmalade'. Popdirt.com's latest poll asks which official site's message
board is best. Vote for Christina Aguilera's board at LiveDaily.com here.

Aguilera sex tape, one that she may not even know about herself. Said a
source, "A guy from L.A. is going around bragging about being with Christina
and showing his friends a tape, taken months ago, of her getting hot and
heavy with him. It's pretty graphic."
December 27, 2001 - In a
Star item last week (later picked up by UK tabs) that is sure to get Shelly
Kearns' blood boiling, the tabloid reports Christina Aguilera bought her
mom a $1 million house for Christmas. They describe the place as a 6 bedroom
home in Wexford, PA and mysteriously quote her saying, "This home Christina
bought me is all I've ever dreamed of. This is the first time in my life
that I ever got anything that I actually chose myself, of my own taste.
I've always had to make do with the family hand-me-downs. This is beyond
wonderful!" Of course fans on Christina's message board would have heard

December 19, 2001 - Christina
Aguilera's mother Shelly Kearns put the following answer on her daughter's
official website when asked if Christina was single, "Yes, she is single.
Someone told me that there's a rumor going around which states that Christina
got married. That one is totally untrue." This has caused several to proclaim
she and boyfriend Jorge Santos have broken up. While early reports suggest
he wasn't at her 21st birthday party, the widely interpreted use of 'single'
is unmarried (and her complete answer uses that context), so there may
be some people speaking too early on this. Stay tuned.
December 18, 2001 - zipster
writes "It's official, the site once called "ChristinaAguilera.to" is now
closed. Owner Kerbear states, "I have supported Christina with a website
for 3 years now. I started the site because I talked to Shelly a few times
and thought she was incredibly sweet." She later adds, "There doesn't seem
to be a point to run the site any longer after being accused by her own
mother of lying."" Read more.
Note: This news was emailed
to me: "I would just like to let you know that Kerry, the webmaster of
Christina Aguilera.to, has not officially closed her site. Rumor has it
that she will be bringing it back in January, and that it's only a temporary
closure."
December 18, 2001 - Christina
Aguilera's mother Shelly Kearns posted a new diary update on her daughter's
official site to preview their plans for Christmas and apparently send
a message to those attempting to stage a coup against the official site.
Shelly states, "It seems that selfishness and total lack of respect and
graciousness towards each other is quite popular in today's society. This
aggressive behavior is even respected by some as a show of strength. But
real strength lies in quietness and wise, peaceful communication, and in
understanding that when you hurt anyone, you hurt yourself. So then, find
the way to accomplish what you need to without attacking. We should do
the unusual...to try and do everything coming from love rather than anger."

Spears' mother Lynne Spears who received 106 searches. Joe Simpson, father

on the web, Christina Aguilera's mother Shelly Kearns, didn't receive the
25 search limit to even be listed.

questions, but Shelly Kearns talks about crazy fans picking through her
trash, her PA home, the teams, her family roots for and that the rumors
of Christina and Jorge being engaged are false. Check out more here."
December 16, 2001 - Following
the backlash caused by Shelly's angry comments to those looking to stage
a coup against Christina Aguilera's official site webmaster, Al Gomez,
Shelly has posted several more messages with the mindset that "If I give
my opinion, just like all of you do here every single day (and in a heck
of a lot more nasty way than I did!), and it's not what you all expected,
then I am 'attacking', 'rude', etc etc etc." Shelly later suggested plans
to meet in a chat session with herself and Al Gomes. To keep up on that
developing situation, visit here.
December 16, 2001 - J-14
had a short blurb in their Dec/Jan issue saying "If you're shocked by Christina
Aguilera when she releases her new studio album that's cool with her. The
'Lady Marmalade' singer wants to kick showgirl look up a notch, promising
that her next video and CD will be ever racier than Britney. 'To be honest,
I'd really like to go too far,' she says. 'I feel like I can flirt the
limits for many years.'"

from Christina Aguilera's mother Shelly Kearns left fans singled out by
the star's mother by name for petitioning the official site's webmaster

threatening to pull the plug. ChristinaBlue, singled out by Kearns, insisted
e-mails sent to her by Al Gomes were legit and the message headers would
prove it. She understandingly added, "I can see why you would believe Al,
if he is the one who told you these emails were fake, because you trust
him. I would too." Read more.
December 15, 2001 - Shelly
Kearns came on to the LiveDaily message boards to both squash rumors that
RCA had dumped the singer and slam those that have been critical of the
official site's webmaster, Al Gomez. Shelly said Friday, "You all need
to give Al a break," adding "Al had the Xmas page up on time. Yep. Totally
on time. It was the server, MusicVision. The traffic was so high that half
the people could see it and half couldn't. That's it. Not Al's fault, as
well as a ton of other things that you all don't know about from this end."

out here."

adding "In fact, overall, Just Be Free is spunkier than most of Christina’s
material of late. She could do with giving the album a careful listen herself."

the date on the official site as an appearance. It should be clarified
though, she is nominated, and even if she isn't physically there, they

"Tired of being compared/ To damn Britney Spears/ She's so pretty/ That
just ain't me." Pink said, "I've met Britney. She's really, really sweet.
She's probably the sweetest girl I've ever met in my life. But every interview
I would sit down, or just anywhere, really, and they'd be like, 'Well,
how do you compare yourself to Britney and Jessica and Christina?' And
I'm just thinking to myself that [they're asking this] just because we're
the same age, or girls, young white girls singing pop music or whatever
we do. But we're all different. And we all get our own respect." Read more.

from the pop scene. Moran said, "Looking back now, I like to think of the
careers of Christina and Britney as being inextricably linked — and not
just because they were child-stars on the Disney Channel’s Mickey Mouse
Club at the same time. If pop is a high school, then the charts are a playground
popularity contest in which pupils will flirt, flatter, fight and cheat
to get the biggest following. " Read more.
