April 26, 2002 - Murray Engleheart of Australia's Beat magazine chatted with Tool's Maynard James Keenan from Los Angeles, who talked about a very special guest who checked out one of the band's shows. "Christina Aguilera came to a show," he said. She didn't stick around to see us after the show. I don't know whether she felt she was too good for us or whether she was scared of us or honestly had a prior engagement which is a good excuse. 'Oh, I have to get back in the studio'. April 24, 2002 - Fans on Christina Aguilera's former official website's message board at LiveDaily.com are continuing their bashing of Christina's official website and more directly, the webmaster Al Gomez. Member 'princessKT' blasted, "Everyone is sick of him getting paid big bucks to rip other people off. I don't think that's quite fair." An even more upset 'applesause149' added, "I really hope he gets fired. He is horrible! I've seen all the things like this that he has done and I don't agree with it at all. I don't know if he can get arrested for copying others people things since they dont really have copyrights, but you would think that the 'official' webmaster could write his own information." April 23, 2002 - US Weekly asked Allure magazine to share details of Christina Aguilera's cover shoot with them in New York. Aguilera spent the night before the shoot at Lotus and Bowery Bar before heading into the shoot a half-hour late. Christina apparently has been inspired by Jared Fogle ditching the Wendy's fast food for a Subway turkey sandwich for lunch that day.

April 23, 2002 - SmilingMonkey writes "Lady Marmalade won the Best Video of the Year at the TMF awards in Holland last week. None of them weren't there to receive it though."

April 23, 2002 - Walter Scott of Parade magazine was quizzed by a read on why so many pop stars like Christina Aguilera grab their crotch while performing. Scott spoke with choreographer Dan Karaty, who employs the move in *NSYNC's tours. Karaty said, "It's really not meant as a sexual gesture. It's more of a power move picked up by Michael jackson for his Thriller routine and later by Madonna." Still, not everyone is sold on the move, including Britney Spears: "She doesn't think it fits her girly style."

April 22, 2002 - Fans on Christina Aguilera's official website got a chance to ask her personal stylist Steve Sellitto some of the things he does to get Christina to look the way she does. Steve showed many of the questions to Christina herself, as both talked about some of the answers together. As for what styles Christina prefers the most, Steve answered, "She definitely prefers curly hair to her own straight hair. She loves her hair like in the 'What's Going On' video. I curled it with Sebastian Shaper hairspray and a curling iron, and that's it. I spray each section with hairspray first and then curl it. It takes about 35 minutes to do." Read more.

April 21, 2002 - The request by the surviving members of Nirvana to have Courtney Love undergo a psychiatric exam includes documentation on Love's outspoken past, including her claim of almost-fistfight last month with Christina Aguilera. The charge was reportedly denied in an email by Kearns a few days ago. Read more.

April 20, 2002 - A  poster on LiveDaily.com posted an e-mail he received from Shelly Kearns who responded to the reports that Hole singer Courtney Love had make at the SXSW music conference in Austin. Courtney had claimed, "I almost had a fist-fight with Christina. I was with Linda [Perry] and she came over and said: 'What are you doing? Writing rock for your friend, Courtney?' And I'm like: 'Christina , do you even know what rock is?'" Kearns responded, "Knowing Courtney, she could've said it, but it doesn't mean it happened. Which, by the way, it did not. The last time Christina ever even saw Courtney was in passing in a studio and they had a short but very pleasant conversation..so any negativity coming from Courtney would be a total surprise to Christina, seeing as they don't even know each other beyond the short polite conversation." April 19, 2002 - E! Online's Ted Casablanca reports Christina Aguilera was spotted at Belly in West Hollywood (that club that the geeky white wannabe rapper Mike 'Boogie' of Big Brother 2 had a stake in). Aguilera was wearing a pair of denim low-riders, with a black-and-pink print lacy bra and a pink furry hat. Christina entered the restroom with a friend but didn't wash her hands after using the toilet. While walking out of the bathroom, Aguilera asked her pal, "Do I look hot? I feel so insecure."

April 18, 2002 - Launch.com reports Billy Preston has been recording with Christina Aguilera on her new album while he awaits a kidney transplant which he's due to receive within the next few weeks. Preston has been receiving dialysis treatments three times a week since he was diagnosed with renal failure while out on the road. Read more.

April 17, 2002 - Conan O'Brien had a skit on Tuesday where he showed a series of side by side photos and joked, "A Maybelline counter, a Revlon counter, a Max Factor counter, a Sherwin Williams store. That's right, these are more and more likely to be where Christina Aguilera shops for her whore makeup."

April 17, 2002 - Foo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl checked in with fans on his official site message board on Monday. Echoing the statement by Christina Aguilera's mom Shelly Kearns, Grohl said reports in The Sun about him dating Aguilera are untrue. Grohl said, "Oh, and by the way... as far as all of that Christina Aguilera business goes, I got two words for you... YEAH RIGHT! Gimme a break." Read his full message here. April 16, 2002 - Christina Aguilera is in the latest issue of Allure magazine, where she appears on the cover. Aguilera speaks about her overwealming schedule in the initial phases of her career saying, "For a while, it was to the point that I was losing my voice and I thought I was going to have to be hospitalized if I kept working myself into the ground. I ended up getting really introverted. I wasn't happy." Now things have changed for the pint sized diva, "I'm growing up, and getting vocal about what I want to do." April 15, 2002 - Teen Pop magazine spoke with Christina Aguilera about her upcoming album. The singer said, "I want this album to be something special for my fans. I didnt want to make another pop album, but make an album that expresses who I am and what I'm about as an artist." The magazine's editor, Michael Rilla, opined, "Christina has a large fanbase and I'm confident she will have one of the biggest selling albums of the year."

April 13, 2002 - A  poster on the LiveDaily.com message board quized Christina Aguilera's mother Shelly Kearns on recent reports that her daughter was dating Foo Fighters singer Dave Grohl. Shelly said to 'CluelessRaf', "Oh, and the dumb Foo Fighter David Grohl rumor that seems to be the hottest topic now? April 13, 2002 - Photofil.net has pictures of Christina Aguilera and friend Josh Libaty (?) from the Lotta Stensson 'Dress for Success' benefit party held at Moomba in Los Angeles earlier this week. April 11, 2002 - The Sun reports following her breakup with Jorge Santos, Christina Aguilera has turned her affection towards Foo Fighters frontman and ex Nirvana drummer Dave Grohl. The pair have been on several dates prompting a pal of Aguilera's to gush, "Christina has never been happier and is thrilled that, with Britney Spears and Justin Timberlake over, they are now the power couple in music." The two were said to have met at The Standard Hotel in Los Angeles last January, but while Aguilera walked away impressed, she didn't take things further because she was still dating Jorge at the time. April 5, 2002 - A posting from a fan reported to have received word from Christina Aguilera's mother Shelly Kearns on the new album has her saying, "Actually, late August or Sept. is pretty accurate. You see, that is exactly why we never pinned down or commented on an actual date. The media keeps feeding false dates (like June, for example) to the public, getting everyone's hopes up so that when they find out the real date, they get angry. That's not our fault. We NEVER said June was the month. Quite the opposite. I wish the media would leave people alone and be more responsible about the false info they spread, because it only creates more tension among the public than is necessary." April 4, 2002 - The New York Daily News reports the Los Angeles club Joseph's became the meeting spot for the top three pop tarts as Britney Spears, Christina Aguilera, and Mandy Moore hit the dance floor together. The trio seemed to get along well though other guests at the club may not have been happy to get the boot from their respective bodyguards.
