November 19, 2002 - Scans of Christina Aguilera's article in people magazine have been posted. In the article, Scott Storch, who produced many of the songs on 'Stripped' estimated that it cost RCA $100,000 to $200,000 of studio airtime while Aguilera "played Ping-Pong". November 14, 2002 - The Billboard album sales chart is in and shows Eminem's soundtrack for '8 Mile' has again landed atop the charts, beating out *NSYNC star Justin Timberlake who debuted at #2 with his 'Justified' solo debut. '8 Mile' sold 508,000 units, a 28% drop, but enough to told off the 439,000 units sold of 'Justified'. Backstreet Boys star Nick Carter saw his 'Now or Never' solo debut drop from #17 to #63 in its second week out. Christina Aguilera's 'Stripped' suffered a 49% sales hit to 168,000 units and falls two two slots to #4. Read more.

November 14, 2002 - Robbie Williams told Sara Cox on her Radio 1 Breakfast show the other day that he was humiliated after Christina Aguilera failed to recognize him. "Do you know what she did that was really funny? She used to say that she fancied Robbie Williams," Robbie said. "We bumped into each other a few times and I thought she was very sweet and I shook her hand and she came over and we said Hello. November 8, 2002 - Access Hollywood's Billy Bush caught up with Christina Aguilera after her new bum debuted at number two. But it's the video that has everyone, up including Christina's family, talking. She said after TRL's Spanking New Music Week appearance, "No spanking. That was cut out from the video." Billy joked that was about the only explicit thing that was cut from the 'Dirrty' video. To a nearly naked cover, she bares just about all. It seems it runs in the family. "My grandma said, if I had a body like you, I'd be on there, too," Aguilera bragged.

November 8, 2002 - The Daily Show has a funny take on Christina Aguilera's new video 'Dirrty' being banned in Thailand for containing offensive phrases such as "Thailand's Sex Tourism." The show says Aguilera "defends the signs, saying they are the best way for her to celebrate her Thai heritage until she can translate her Spanish heritage pride album, 'Mi Reflejo', into Thai." They also added that Thai officials "admitted concern that Aguilera is getting too thin for her own good and is wasting her rich voice on such interchangeable pop." Read more.

November 8, 2002 - KTLA was on hand as the stars were out in full force Wednesday night, for the premiere of the highly anticipated movie '8 Mile' starring Eminem. Aguilera said that Eminem's people had been calling her all day asking her to appear, and she decided to go because she heard the movie was so good and Eminem did well in it. She even sounded open to dating Em when Pat O'Brien asked said, "Next we'll hear you two are dating," responding something to the effect of "That would be interesting."

November 8, 2002 - Extra TV was on hand at the premiere of '8 Mile' in Los Angeles where star Eminem was a man of few words, but they were able to speak with Christina Aguilera, who ended her famous beef with the rapper and explained how. "It lets her discuss the album more and it lets people in to how great an album it is and that it's not made up of 15 other songs just like 'Dirrty,' it's made up of 15 other songs of all different types." November 5, 2002 - Christina Aguilera appeared on MTV's Total Request Live on Monday and while she was happy her song 'Dirrty' beat out the 'Eminem' hit 'Lose Yourself', she did have good things to say about her rival's work. "I love this song, actually," Aguilera said as it played in the background to host Carson Daly.

November 5, 2002 - Sal Cinquemani of slant magazine reviewed Christina Aguilera's new album 'Stripped', giving it 3 out of 5 stars. Sal says the album is anything but 'Stripped' though. "Lacquered in so much gloss and pretense, 'Stripped' is more an event than an album," Cinquemani said. "From its breathy interludes to the rock-R&B hybrid 'Fighter,' 'Stripped' is so overproduced and overwrought that it could easily pass for a Janet album." He does add in Aguilera's favor, "Despite all the high drama, though, Aguilera proves her point: she is not Britney Spears--and that might be all it takes to transcend the dreaded sophomore slump." November 5, 2002 - Christina Aguilera addressed the fact that ex-boyfriend Jorge Santos was in her 'Dirrty' video on MTV's Total Request Live on Monday. Aguilera said, "Yeah, my ex-boyfriend, one of my dancers as some people know the story was -- but he had to audition and, uhm, you know he ended up workin' it out like the best out of a lot of the guys so I was like, you know personal stuff aside, I have to give it to the guy who does the best job so, you know." She added, "And he was workin' it. He was workin' it. I was like okay. We were cool. Committee still keep in touch. He's a good guy you know unlike other guys in the past."

November 5, 2002 - Over half the sales numbers are in for this weeks album charts at HitsDailyDouble.com, and as expected, Eminem's '8 Mile' soundtrack leads the pack on pace to sell well over 700,000 units. Meanwhile, Christina Aguilera comes in the #2 spot where she may be able to clear around 350,000 copies. November 4, 2002 - Greg Kot of the Chicago Tribune reviewed Christina Aguilera's new album 'Stripped' advising listeners to not judge the album by its first release 'Dirrty'. Kot said, "What's encouraging is that Aguilera has figured out that growing up means more than just liberating her body of clothes. It means freeing her songwriting and production of commercial formula. And about half the time on the uneven but ultimately fascinating 'Stripped,' she succeeds. November 3, 2002 - Debbie Bento of Chart Attack caught up with Foo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl to have him clear up reports that he had dated Christina Aguilera. "So, we met and we’re like 'Hi, how are you?' And whatever — that was it," Grohl recalled. "Then this one morning I was at home and my phone starts ringing at, like, 8:30 in the morning. Just ringing off the fu**ing hook. My girlfriend gets up to get it cuz she’s trying to sleep. I get up and she says 'Guess why people are calling you all morning? The local radio station’s saying you’re dating Christina Aguilera.'" He continued, "I’m like ‘WHAAAT?!’ So I fu**in' called the radio station and I was just like 'Hey, this is Dave Grohl and I hear you guys are sayin' that and can you please STOP?' November 3, 2002 - Christina Aguilera was again spotted at a New York strip joint according to the New York Post. This time Aguilera was even dirtier when the club's DJ played her single 'Dirrty'. The singer jumped on a couch in the Champagne Room and started bumping and grinding with two strippers. Later, she compared breasts with one particularly well-endowed dancer. "They were touching each other's breasts," said one elated eyewitness. "There was a lot of caressing going on." Her back-up dancers joined in on the fun, performing an impromptu striptease on the main stage.

"That's a rumour I guess I have to squash, because I've never even talked to Playboy," she insisted. "It's not something I want to do - at least not right now. November 3, 2002 - Mark Morford of SF Gate gave his thoughts on Christina Aguilera shedding overblown pop confection image to overblown smut doll in her new 'Dirrty' video. "Her newfound authenticity thuds like a hammer," Morford wrote. "Our delicious little pop tart Aguilera has broken away from one extreme of prepacked teen queendom and reemerged as the exact flip side. November 2, 2002 - Eric R. Danton of The Hartford Courant reviewed Christina Aguilera's new album 'Stripped' giving it generally positive marks. Danton said, "Aguilera goes about demonstrating impressive growth as a singer and, apparently, a songwriter." He concludes, "With all the controversy that tends to swirl around Aguilera, it's sometimes easy to forget that she is an immensely talented singer. Masley says that the album "works best when Aguilera -- or Xtina, as she'd like you all to call her -- doesn't try so hard to prove how dirty, filthy, nasty she can be when rubbed the right way." He added, "If she's as lucky as she says she'd like to get, then 'Walk Away' would be the single to emerge as her defining moment here. But sadly, 'Dirrty' stands a better chance. November 2, 2002 - Us Weekly reports that when Christina Aguilera arrived for the Nintendo Gamecube party on Hollywood Boulevard on Wednesday night, organizers had to kick out 10 non-celebs in order to make room for her and her posse. "The organizers asked 10 people to leave (the party) so Aguilera's group could get in," an eyewitness revealed. Fire marshals had ordered no more people could enter the capacity event, prompting the move.
