December 31, 2002 - The Las Vegas Review Journal reports there are rumors that the New Year's Eve VIP crowd at the Hard Rock Hotel, where the Red Hot Chili Peppers are performing, will include Christina Aguilera, Josh Hartnett and supermodel Heidi Klum. Chili Peppers frontman Anthony Kiedis has been linked to Klum, and the pair reportedly were checking out diamond rings recently on Rodeo Drive in Beverly Hills.

December 31, 2002 - The National Enquirer has the MavrixPhoto pictures of Christina Aguilera in the new issue and asked an Atlantis hotel guest about the singer drinking Corona Extra in the Bahamas at 10 am. "There were families with children aghast at her apperance," said the guest. "She wore the tiniest cut-off shorts that kept riding up her cheeks. December 18, 2002 - Globe magazine has video stills of Christina Aguilera taking a tumble in Hollywood while leaving the Whiskey Bar near Sunset Boulevard at 2am earlier this month. An eyewitness says, "She looked completely out of it. Her makeup was smudged and her eyes were rolling around in her head." Aguilera's head bobbed side to side, her legs were buckling and she seemed ready to pass out and was carried to her car. Friends were alarmed at the incident, and worry her partying has reached a danger point. "In the past, she's been so focused on her career that she didn't overdo the partying. Her song 'Only When I Close My Eyes' has been a big hit on local radio station WBZZ B-94 and has already had some comparing her to another hometown girl, Christina Aguilera. "When I was little, I knew I wanted to be a performer," she said. She named Whitney Houston as an influence but does not like the pop music image that surrounds Britney Spears. "I am still trying to establish what genre of music I want to get into. I am staying away from the pop icon like Britney. I think an artist who writes her own music gets more respect," said Mulgrew, who uses the name B.L. Mulgrew as a singer to avoid association with Spears. December 4, 2002 - Star magazine reports Christina Aguilera was shopping for fishnet hose at Barneys in Beverly Hills. The upscale clothier didn't carry fishnets, but she spent an hour trying on clothes anyway. Salespeople ran from floor to floor getting items for the pop princess, but Aguilera fumed, "This stuff is way too conservative for me!" Christina left the store without buying a thing.

December 4, 2002 - Dees Sleaze reports raunchy Christina Aguilera was spotted with a mystery Latin lover at the Bel Air hotel's 5-star restaurant for Thanksgiving. The guy was feeding Christina and they were licking each other's faces to the point that one family asked to be moved. They're not sure who he is, but he looks like Enrique Iglesias. Lifehouse instead was musical guests. Aguilera, who has been doing many appearances throughout the world, may have been battling the physical ailments that plagued her while touring in support of her debut album.

December 3, 2002 - Good Charlotte's Benji Madden made a plea to win the heart of Christina Aguilera when he and brother Joel hosted MTV's Total Request Live on Monday. Benji said, "Joel, if I may, forget the cue cards and just talk to the camera I'm on national TV. One of the biggest shows in the world and I have the microphone so Christina Aguilera, I got to ask you this right now if you'll go out with me. I'm dirrty, too. I'm dirrty too. December 2, 2002 - This week's UK singles charts has Daniel Bedingfield topping the charts in his for week with 'If You’re Not The One', knocking Christina Aguilera's 'Dirrty' feat. Redman to #3. In the #2 spot was Atomic Kitten, who claimed their fifth consecutive top three hit with the double A-sided hit 'Last Goodbye/Be With You'.
