towards the protectiveness of women," she said. "But also, it's no secret
that I was bullied at school by other girls, so you're very lucky if you
can find the support of good girlfriends." As for being specifically asked
if she had a boyfriend, Aguilera offered, "Well... I'm focusing on my career
and I have been in some very bad situation with men, but, yes, there is

depression for the record, use that dark energy. She dropped her mouth
to the floor, she was so shocked. But I got a call from her a week later.
Basically, I'm happy being miserable, and I will forever write sensitive,
abuse-type songs."

by some problems she has with trust. "I'm guarded at first, definitely,"

writes "Christina Aguilera's, 'Beautiful,' proves not to be a bomb in the
United Kingdom afterall. The single, orginally released to some shops three
weeks ago, had orginally debuted to #51. This was because many music shops
didn't put the single until it's release date, and some shops put it out
early because of the release of the music video. The single has just debuted
at at #1 on the United Kingdom singles charts. This brings Aguilera's total
#1's to three, one less than Britney Spears. Meanwhile, t.A.T.u.'s run
at the top ended as the duo dropped to #3 with 'All The Things She Said'.

March 1, 2003 - WENN Christina
Aguilera is offering dating advice for Britney Spears after her short flings
with Limp Bizkit frontman Fred Durst and actor Colin Farrell. "Fred Durst,
you know all the controversy all the drama that comes with being with Fred,"
said Christina, who had her own brief romance with Durst. "Been there done
that. Next. And Colin Farrell, I don't know, he's seeming to gloat too
heavily on his little Britney date. I say Britney can do a lot better than
that." As for who she'd like to see Britney hook up with, Christina offered
a man AND a woman. "If I had to get someone I think Angelina Jolie would
be worth it, she is really beautiful," Aguilera said. "She's tough, yet
sexy at the same time, which not a lot of people can do. And Johnny Depp

March 1, 2003 - The Gay &
Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation (GLAAD) today announced that it will
present a special award to Christina Aguilera at the 14th Annual GLAAD
Media Awards ceremony to be held in Los Angeles on April 26 at the Kodak
Theatre. "Christina Aguilera's 'Beautiful' video conveys a powerful message
about self-respect and empowerment," said Joan M. Garry, GLAAD's executive
director. "At a time when many in the music industry avoid lesbian and
gay themes altogether, or even worse, use defamatory images to appear 'edgy,'
Christina's decision to feature gay and transgender people in her video
is a strong statement of inclusion, affirmation and acceptance." Read more.
March 1, 2003 - Peter Robinson
of the Guardian decribed the pop comeback of Christina Aguilera with her
new mega-hit 'Beautiful'. "Christina's credibility was so dead in the water
that Kelly Osbourne was hailed as an international hero for wiping bogies
on her car," Robinson said of her first single 'Dirrty'. "So when the casting
sheet for the video to her next single was leaked, its faintly dubious
requirements looked to have sealed Christina's demise. Ms Aguilera had
jumped the shark. Right now the bogeywiper's career has nosedived to meet
her father's in pop's great bargain bin, but Christina is riding high.
Rather than being the precise point when Christina lost everything, 'Beautiful'
is a global No 1 airplay hit and, with its video, has redefined her career
in a fashion barely seen since Jo Whiley pronounced Take That's 'Back For
Good' a work of utter genius." Read more.

to talk sh** about me, do it to my face, because if you don't back it up
you're just talking out of your ass." Read more.
