writes "Jessica Alba fielded questions from fans on MTV Asia's 'Sweet As
Honey' special, promoting the Asian release of her movie 'Honey'. One fan
asked who her favorite music artist was, and she responded, "My favorite
artist right now is Christina Aguilera," she said. "I love love love her
new album and she's such a great singer. I also love The Strokes and Lenny
Kravitz." She also dismissed rumors of dating Backstreet Boys star Nick
Carter, after the two had been spotted out on the town the night before,
saying, "What?...Nick's a nice guy, you know... and he and I are just friends.
Trust me, if we were dating, I'd have nothing to hide - it's too much of
a beautiful thing.""

December 29, 2003 - Michelle
Branch defended her controversial Maxim magazine spread in the winter 2003
issue of Echo magazine, taking a minor dig at Christina Aguilera in the
process. "It's not a big deal at all," she says of the Maxim spread. "I'm
a musician, and everyone knows this. I can't make everyone happy, so I
just do what I do and please myself. It wasn't like I was laying there,
butt-naked with a guitar covering my goods. [In my work] I've never done
anything lewd. It was a fun time and I don't regret it in the least."
December 29, 2003 - In a

December 29, 2003 - Top of
the Pops has dubbed Christina Aguilera Singer of the Year for 2003. They
write, "She may dress like someone nicked all the mirrors and lightbulbs
in her house, but there is no doubting the power of Christina's mighty
tonsils. In fact, the trumpets that knocked the walls of Jericho down were
just a thin man's guff by comparison. Ironic considering that when she
first started singing, Mariah Carey (who's no stranger to powerful lungs
herself) thought she was such a copycat she took to calling her 'Mini-Me'.
Bet those words don't bring her down today." Meanwhile, *NSYNC star Justin
Timberlake has been dubbed Most Buff Bloke, while Blue took home Band of
the Year. Check out more winners with new categories announced every day
leading up to the new year here.

writes "Justin Timberlake tells Austrailian magazine 'Dolly' in their latest
issue that his summer-tour buddy Christina Aguilera is reserved and quiet.
"Christina and I spent time together, maybe once or twice on tour," said
Justin. "We would talk about old times and whatever was on her mind. But
she's very reserved and when you're around her, she can shut down, just
like that -- total silence. I think she's very misunderstood and maybe
that's why she doesn't get the credit she deserves." He also touched the
topic of reuniting with his band mates *NSYNC for their next album. "I
want it to be just right," he said. "I don't want us all to just go in
there and rush an album for the fans. They deserve quality, so when we're
all ready to go back and record, we're gonna make sure we come up with
something memorable.""

Spears is on the cover of the new issue of Blender magazine, where she
stepped up her response to pop rival Christina Aguilera who earlier had
commented that Spears was "like a lost little girl who needs guidance."
Spears responded, "That's funny, because I haven't seen her in two years,
and then she comes up to me in a club in front of all these people and
tries to put her tongue down my throat! I'm like, 'How are you?' I say,
'It's good to see you,' and she goes, 'Well, you're not being real with
me.' I was like, 'Well Christina. What's your definition of being real?
Going up to girls and kissing them after you haven't seen them for two
years?' A lost girl? I think it's probably the other way around." Spears
added, "When somebody's been rude to you so many times, it's like, 'You
know what, Christina? I'm really not about the fake bullsh** anymore. You're
scary and I feel really dark when I get around you, so I need to be over
here now'." Check out the scans here.

December 25, 2003 - Hip Online
recently caught up with Willa Ford and asked the singer about how she contrasts
with her more successful pop counterparts Christina Aguilera and Britney
Spears. "Right and I’m not into Britney," Ford said. "She is cool, but
I’m not into her flavor. We art totally different artists. She doesn’t
create music or a self-proclaimed vocalist. Christina is a singer and writer,
but I can pick up an instrument and play it. That is no mystery to people
and I have studied classical opera for four years. I just happen to have
a certain look and my body looks a certain way and that is what the general
public wants to see." Read more.

sleeping in a room next to Christina Aguilera while in Dublin, Ireland.

concerned that it's becoming an obsession with her. She's vowed not to
pig out over Christmas and to start her new diet regime early. If anything,
she could do with putting on a few pounds because her world tour is taking
it out of her."
December 25, 2003 - Anonymous
writes "Adam Brody of the hit show 'The OC' was asked whether he prefers
Britney Spears or Christina Aguilera in the new issue of Details magazine,
and he instead revealed his experience meeting Christina. Adam said, "Not
too long ago, I met Christina [Aguilera] at a club in LA. She was sitting
in a booth with Justin [Timberlake], who seemed to be welcoming, and I
figured I'd go up say hi. She actually shaded her face with her cap and
looked the other way. I thought that was kind of rude, but that's usually
how a lot of people in the business are. Their heads get too big for the
door." He continued, "I haven't met Britney, but I'd hope she's a lot more
pleasant. Personally, I don't have a 'pop princess' preference.""

in on Christina Aguilera's negative remarks on pop rivals Britney Spears,
Destiny's Child star Beyonce Knowles, and Pink. "I'll say this much: Christina
is the most naturally gifted singer of the three," the music critic said.
"Not always crazy about her material, or her style, but the girl has a
powerful and very musical voice. As for Britney... I think she would have
been better off had she not been dragged into show business as a kid, and
allowed to forge a more normal life. But perhaps I'll get into that in
a future article." Read the entire transcript here.
December 22, 2003 - AliciaMoore
writes "Okay, I have read a lot of opinions that have been posted simply
to hate on either Christina Aguilera or Britney Spears. And the lesson
there is that Christina haters think she sleeps around and dresses badly,
has a horrible image and does not have the record sales of pop stars like
Britney Spears. Britney haters say that she has an awful voice and no respect
from the industry. Haters of both think that they have just been given
everything, and don't deserve to be where they are today." Read more.

Furtado." And lastly she says Kelis, (the singer who supposedly is opening
up for Britney's new tour) "This song is sick, if u want to dance, go to

from the high notes." Adams added, "It's now almost ridiculous to think
Aguilera was seen as the poor man's Britney, especially when Aguilera breaks
into a spine-tingling cover version of Etta James' 'At Last'. You can't

fortunate to be 22 right now and having three Grammys under my belt, which

reports Kelly Osbourne has again lashed out at pop rival Christina Aguilera.
"Everyone I know and have met hates Christina. She's very nasty," Kelly
said. "I've known her since I was ten and it's fair to say that she's been
horrible her whole life. If Christina offered me a white flag I'd kick
her in the face. I couldn't even be in the same room as her because I know
she would probably come up to me and punch me, and then hide behind some
ten-foot tall security guard like a p***y. She hates me because I point
out the true things and the truth hurts. She's so childish and superficial,
and the reason she's like that is because she was never in contact with
kids of her own age when she was growing up, so she never matured."
December 15, 2003 -
Paul Cashmere of Undercover.com.au reviewed Christina Aguilera's concert

up the bald spots on her head which reportedly occured because of her repeated
use of hair extentions. An insider has revealed, "Christina's had to wear
wigs for a while because she lost so much hair... Obviously it's important
that she hangs on to her glamorous image. No one likes a bald pop star.
That long, thick hair - in particular, the black mane she has at the moment

Justin Timberlake is a loser. Well, at least his NBC special "Down Home

The Programming Insider posted that Timberlake's special drew a "mere 2.8/
4 in the overnights and a fifth place 1.6/ 5 in adults 18-49. Stick to
MTV, Justin." For the week, NBC came in dead last. Of all the music specials
airing during sweeps, Britney Spears was the winner. Her ABC special drew
