March 31, 2004 - thedirrtyone writes "Billboard.com reports that for the 13th Annual Music Video Production Awards, Christina has recieved 6 nominations for 'Fighter', making her tied with Missy Elliott for the most nominations. She is nominated for best pop video, best hair and best makeup, best cinematography, best styling and best direction of a female artist all for 'Fighter'. The nominees for video of the year have not been announced yet. The MVPA awards will take place on May 20 in Los Angeles. Read more."

March 29, 2004 - The guys from Blue took part in a politically incorrect game of slap 'em or snog 'em with BBC's 'Top of the Pops'. March 29, 2004 - A spokesperson for Christina Aguilera tells The New York Daily News reports that the singer is now engaged to boyfriend Jordan Bratman are "completely false," and would not comment on whether the two are in fact dating. Prior reports had attributed the marriage talk to a "pal" and Bratman's mother Sally.

March 25, 2004 - The Sun has a feature article by Martel Maxwell praising Christina Aguilera as the next Madonna, while dismissing Britney Spears claiming she's already hit her peak. Jonathan Shalit, the man behind Charlotte Church's success, told Maxwell: "Christina is possibly the most exciting female artist out there. She has concentrated on her career and made herself a global superstar. Boyfriends and drugs could have got in the way but she didn't let that happen. I have seen her work schedules and they are gruelling. She's at it 14 hours a day, seven days a week. Her voice is like a gymnast, jumping all over the place with an amazing range. March 25, 2004 - The Mirror spoke with a source close to Christina Aguilera about word that the singer has got engaged to boyfriend Jordan Bratman. "Christina has been desperate to keep the news quiet from everyone while she lets it sink in," the source revealed. "She loves that Jordan is so down to earth and gets everything about her. She's unlikely to do a Britney and rush off to Las Vegas for a quickie wedding, but then you never know."

March 25, 2004 - According to Ratethemusic.com, Jordan Bratman's grandmother Sally recently revealed he proposed to Christina Aguilera, and the singer immediately accepted. "Jordan asked her in Los Angeles. He called me and told me two days ago," 72-year-old Sally revealed. "I'm very happy they are engaged. His mom and dad are very happy too. I don't know when the wedding will be - soon, hopefully. They have a ring and she has worn it. I think it has a diamond in it but I haven't seen it myself. I have met Christina, we went to a New York restaurant owned by a friend. They are so good together."

March 22, 2004 - George Michael has hit out at Madonna for her Video Music Awards kiss with Britney Spears and Christina Aguilera while performing 'Like A Virgin'. "I have great respect for Madonna but I was a bit horrified about that MTV thing," he told The Courier-Mail. "It really smacked to me of 'Oh dear, my album isn't selling', so within six weeks of them working that out, you see her on stage with Missy Elliott and Christina Aguilera and Britney. March 22, 2004 - The Boston Herald reports that at Don Henley's Walden Woods Project party at the Boston Park Plaza the other night, actor Ed Begley Jr. auctioned off a plethora of must-have items like a teeny-tiny leather mini-skirt autographed by Christina Aguilera. The singer's mini-skirt went for a mere $2,500. Project organizer Kathi Anderson estimates after all the bills are paid, the Project's coffers will be richer by $250,000.

March 14, 2004 - Christina Aguilera and boyfriend Jordan Bratman watched little of the Los Angeles Lakers game because they spent the whole time kissing and cuddling. Jordan was sipping a pint as Christina struggled to keep her hands off him. For some reason, The Sun is saying it is the first time she has dated Jordan in public adding, "Now it seems Christina has decided she can keep the secret no longer." March 8, 2004 - Star magazine reports Christina Aguilera may have landed herself into another feud, this time with 'Entertainment Tonight' fashion guru Steven Cojocaru. The singer was reportedly the person who dropped a drink from the balcony at the Polaroid Outkast Grammy party on February 8th, aimed for Cojo. A source said the frequent fashion choice victim "doesn't like what he says about her [and her clothes] on TV." Aguilera's rep denied the drink dumping charge.

March 5, 2004 - MTV News spoke with Kelly Osbourne about progress on her second album, which sees her collaborating with Linda Perry, who recently collaborated with Osbourne's nemesis, Christina Aguilera. "I don't even know why people care if I like [Christina] or not," Kelly said. "She gets so much publicity because I said I didn't like her that I wish I never said anything." March 5, 2004 - AVN Insider recently spoke with porn star Krystal Steal about her patriotic layout for the July cover and centerfold of Hustler magazine, where she wore little more than the American flag. "They made me look like Christina Aguilera, it’s kind of cool. They got her layouts from a magazine. They gave me her hair, her makeup and clothes. It’s gonna be kind of wild," Steal explained. "Christina is a beautiful girl, but her makeup on me, I mean her hair looked great on me, but I didn’t like her makeup."

March 3, 2004 - Us Weekly has more details behind Christina Aguilera's visit to Jaguars strip club in Las Vegas with her boyfriend Jordan Bratman on February 13th. The pair went to the VIP area of the club and spent about $2,000. "A couple of times she did a dance-off with one of the girls, with both of them performing for her boyfriend at the same time," a source revealed. "She enjoyed herself immensely."

March 3, 2004 - Us Weekly reports that ahead of her Saturday Night Live hosting gig, Christina Aguilera exhibited some diva behavior while at Tao to review scripts for the show. When a server asked the singer what she wanted, "she'd whisper it to someone at the table who would speak for her," a source revealed. And later, Pittsburgh Steelers Hall of Fame running back Franco Harris asked to meet Aguilera, but she initially refused before being talked into it. "She was like, 'Oh, all right, I'll meet him'." Finally, when an elderly woman tried to take a picture of Aguilera for her granddaughter, Christina's bodyguard demanded that she delete the photo.

Ruggieri writes, "Truth be told, hers was a better performance than that of the seasoned comedians sitting next to her." As for her a cappella version of 'Beautiful' during the show's opening monologue, she says, "Yeah, we're sick of the song, too. But it was better than musical guest Maroon 5's limp performance."
