April 28, 2004 - Christina Aguilera recently phoned into KISS 96.5 in Cleveland to talk about her tour with Chingy. Before the interview, Aguilera's handler told him not to talk about her pop rival Britney Spears, boyfriends, or tabloid stories -- just talk about the tour. April 28, 2004 - The Glasgow Daily Record reports Virgin boss Sir Richard Branson was so determined to get Christina Aguilera for the new Virgin Mobile campaign, he invited her to his Caribbean island of Necker to seal the deal. A Virgin Mobile insider said: "She is a hot property and Virgin are jubilant they have managed to persuade her to do this. This advert will have every red-blooded male drooling." April 25, 2004 - The Dallas Morning News reports Christian teens are stealing Jesus music at nearly the same rate as secular music is being pirated, according to a new study done for the Gospel Music Association. Musicians say the piracy issue is particularly thorny for them to broach. Many fear being seen as greedy and incurring the backlash faced by the heavy-metal band Metallica when it sued Napster, once the most popular file-sharing software system. Lucy Ashmore, one of Christina's close pals, has recently told the star that unless she breaks up with her ex, Jordan Bratman, she will sell the video of 21-year-old Christina indulging in herself after a long 21st birthday. "When the song came out for 'Moulin Rogue' people wanted to know what I thought about it, thinking that I was going to be a catty heifer and say I hated it, she tells Richard Abowitz. "I loved the way they did it." In fact, a couple of years ago, LaBelle joined Aguilera and company to perform the song at the Grammy Awards. Patti stole the show. April 19, 2004 - The Sun reports Christina Aguilera has demanded a closed set when her ad for Virgin mobile is shot in Los Angeles this week. "Christina is going to be naked so she doesn't want loads of people watching," a source explained. "She will just have a few key people in the studio for the raunchy stuff." Aguilera will film two versions of the TV advertisement, one for daytime and the racier one after 9 PM.
