January 18, 2006 - christinafan writes "Christina Aguilera is definitely the best artist of our generation. I am going to list some facts that make her the best. First off she has the voice of a angel beating the likes of Mariah Carey, Celine Dion, and especially Britney Spears. Her first album sold 16 million worldwide and won numerous awards and a Grammy. Plus she had more meaningful songs like 'Reflection' and 'I Turn to You'." Read more.

January 18, 2006 - The New York Post reports Christina Aguilera won a tattoo contest at Stereo the other night, where she shared a few bottles of Grey Goose with hubby Jordan Bratman and club co-owner Mike Satsky. January 18, 2006 - Hesham Hassaballa writes over at alt.muslim: "Christina Aguilera has a song entitled, 'Beautiful', and very few other songs have shot straight through to my heart. The song brings to the forefront the struggles of being a Muslim in America, especially one who has been born and raised American. Like I said before, ever since I first stepped foot on the school bus at the age of five, I faced dislike for my skin color. The first time I boarded the bus and sat next to another child, he frowned. I had never met him before. Another time, two girls said in unison, 'I don't want to sit next to Hesham!' Yet another time in the first grade - and this I will never forget - one of my schoolmates pushed me, with red-blooded hatred in his voice and eyes, and screamed 'Go back to your country!' This is my country." Read more.

January 18, 2006 - Remix magazine spoke with Premier about his several fruitful recording sessions with Christina Aguilera. "When her agent called and said she was looking for some production from me, I was like, 'Wow, that's strange,'" Premier (aka Chris Martin) admitted. But it didn't go as smoothly as he would have hoped when they worked on a bridge for a song that Aguilera insisted on changing. "She was like, 'In the changeup, take the bass out,'" Premier explained. "And I was like, 'Nah, it's banging right there because of what you're singing.' And she was like, 'Nope. I don't want it there.'" Aguilera apparently was also dealing with disagreements with RCA. "I'm no stranger to that; label people can be out of their minds sometimes," Premier said. "But she was already pissed off about that, so she delivered that same attitude to me. So I am who I am, and I command a certain way of being dealt with, plus I'm so used to having my way when I do my records because I'm a producer   I have a good ear. So I pulled her aside, and I was like, 'We have to have a compromise.' So I did something where I chopped it and put echo on that section. And she was like, 'That's hot.'" Read more.
