January 30, 2002 - Extra TV talked with Charlie Sheen at the opening of Las Vegas’s newest club, Light at the Bellagio Hotel where he was asked if he & Denise thought about doing a quickie Vegas wedding. Charlie said, "We joked about it, but that would really piss our parents off. So we decided to pass on that move."

January 29, 2002 - The Las Vegas Review Journal reports newly engaged Charlie Sheen and Denise Richards were amongst the celebrities at the grand opening of Light, a new nightclub at the Bellagio. Others on hand included Tara Reid, David Spade, Sting, *NSYNC's Lance Bass, and Leonardo DiCaprio.

January 23, 2002 - IMDB reports that when Charlie Sheen was asked on the red carpet of the Golden Globe Awards when he and Denise planned on getting married, he joked, "Not only when but where. It's actually here. We're using this whole thing as a front for the wedding. We thought it would be a good cover."

January 23, 2002 - MSNBC.com had a video clip of Charlie Sheen discussing his attraction to Denise Richards and Denise talked likewise about Charlie. It hass since been removed.

January 22, 2002 - Charlie Sheen described his proposal to Denise Richards to Entertainment Tonight Monday saying, "My hand was shaking. I almost didn't find her finger." Charlie helped design the stunning engagement ring he gave to Denise nearly a month ago.

January 22, 2002 - Charlie Sheen and Denise Richards talked with Access Hollywood Monday when they were asked how soon into your dating did you know you wanted to marry. Charlie said, "I knew on the first date. She knew on the second date." When reminded he'd gotten married quickly in the past and whether he trusted his feelings, he said, "Yeah, because they were real feelings. Before they weren't -- it wasn't chemically induced."

January 21, 2002 - Denise Richards was thanked by Charlie Sheen after winning the best actor in a tv series, musical or comedy award for Spin City at the Golden Globes Sunday. Charlie said, "Wow, thank you. Denise, you were right, my love lovely fiancee had a dream i was going to win," later adding, "I thank my fiancee, Denise, who is my best friend and future wife, thank you, dear."

January 21, 2002 - In an abstracts.net poll asking 'What did you think of Denise Richards in the movie Valentine?', 32.8% said they didn't see it, 7.7% said they hated her, and 59.5% said they loved her, with 363 total votes cast.

January 17, 2002 - Jay Leno spoke with Angie Harmon on the Tonight Show Wednesday and asked about her working with Denise and Charlie on 'Good Advice.' Denise said when asked if she saw sparks between the two, "I don't want to say right away, but definitely towards the end of it. Yeah, I mean, they both were kind of goo goo eyes for each other."

January 11, 2002 - Access Hollywood talked with Martin Sheen about the news his son Charlie and Denise Richards are getting married. Martin said, "We knew at christmas, but weren't allowed to say anything. She's a great kid. They're head over heels. And we're delighted for them." As for whether his clean and sober son is ready for a second marriage, Martin adds, "I think he is ready now more than he has ever been in his life. He's gone through three extraordinary years of change. He's my hero."
