August 17, 2002 - Martin Sheen commented on Charlie and Denise on the Tonight Show Friday. "Well, we're delighted. We love denise. She's had a profound affect on him. And he couldn't be happier," he said. Jay joked, "You know, she has a profound affect on a lot of people." Jay added, "But she's a very nice young woman. She's been here. She actually seems good for him. 'Cause he seems happy and..." Martin said, "They're absolutely nuts about each other. They enjoy spending all their time together. I hope that lasts a lifetime."

"He told me not to worry, so I relaxed, although I didn't actually see it until the day before our wedding day. I was so thrilled. He had had my name written on the inside of his wrist.
