7, 2001 - Mark Walhberg came out alone telling the crowd DMX missed the
VMAs for the 3rd year in a row.... But then DMX jumped out and said,
"Hold it, hold it, hold it. I'm right here, baby." After plugging each
other's movie (Rock Star) and album (The Great Depression), the two introduced
Staind who performed.

has Sway's interview with DMX, where he talks more about the delay of The
Great Depression. DMX commented on the death of his friend Aaliyah saying,
"Her life was a blessing in mine. I'll leave it at that. I don't even want
to think about that right now." Read more.

DMX's The Great Depression has seen its release date slide from September
25th to a new date of October 23rd following Def Jam Records decision to
delay the release of Jay-Z's sixth album, The Blueprint. Read more.
September 3, 2001 - In an
abstracts.net poll asking if you believe DMX would have gone to jail if
he wasn't a high profile African American rap artist for minor traffic
infractions, 40.1% said yes while 59.9% said no, with 501 total votes cast.

Mekhi Phifer says he has no plans on being a music artist but he does socialize
with stars like Nas and DMX. Phifer says he never asks for free CDs adding,
"I like to support them. I'm lucky that I can pay $16 for a CD."
