March 3, 2003 - Gene Seymour
of Newsday reviewed 'Cradle 2 the Grave' giving it 2 1/2 stars. Seymour
writes that the film's "hard thrusts into overdrive can often feel like
overkill, especially during that aforementioned juxta.position of slugfest
and car chase." He adds on the positive side: "Still, 'Cradle 2 the Grave'
does have its rough graces scattered among the twisted debris. Director
Andrzej Bartkowiak, the lapsed cinematographer whose previous two films,
'Romeo Must Die' (2000) and 'Exit Wounds' (2001) were almost all muscle
and metal, lets this one breathe a little at the edges." Read more.
March 3, 2003 - Lawrence
Toppman of The Charlotte Observer reviewed DMX's new film 'Cradle 2 the
Grave', giving it 1 1/2 out of 4 stars. Toppman writes, "Director Andrzej
Bartkowiak has no idea where to put the camera, when to cut a scene, how
to draw performances from actors such as Jet Li or DMX. His chases are
chaos, his gunfights dull, his hand-to-hand combat marginally more exciting.
He simply spends producer Joel Silver's mega-millions smashing one piece
of the set into some other piece." Read more.

game prototype." Read more.

of the Toronto Star reviewed 'Cradle 2 the Grave', giving it 3 stars. Howell
writes, "Cradle 2 The Grave is 2 ridiculous 2 B believed. And that's perfectly
okay. While it would be nice to think that a Taiwanese cop and American
gangstas could join forces to save the world from nuclear diamonds and
insane criminals — James Bond, eat your heart out — it isn't necessary
for the enjoyment of this mid-winter rouser to ponder issues of plot and
logic." Read more.
