August 29, 2003 - During
Chris Rock's opening monologue of the MTV Video Music Awards on Thursday,
he joked, "Punk'd is a show they play a practical jokes on celebrities
and tell them that they broke, you know, they find people like, what's
my man, Justin Timberlake or Brittany Murphy and tell them that they're
broke. Now they told Justin he was broke and soon as they told Justin he
started crying a river. And when they told Justin Timberlake that he was
broke, he got a real white all of a sudden, he's like, 'Dude, I'm broke,
I don't know what to do! Mommy, mommy'. And just when he got so desperate
that he got on his knees and threatened to lick a man for eight bucks,
somebody shows up and says, 'Man, you'd been Punk'd!' Then Justin gets
all black and says 'Yeah, you got me, yeah, dog, yeah!' Yeah,
they always Punk people like Justin, all these Mickey Mouse celebrities.
You never see them try to Punk any rappers. I want to see them try to punk
DMX. 'Hey, DMX, you've been Punk'd'. 'Oh yeah? You've been stabbed'."
August 23, 2003 - Clear Channel
News Network reviewed DMX's new album 'Grand Champ', praising it left and
right. They write, "X's energy is in his delivery, in the unforgiving way
he climbs on top of a rhyme, bites its head off and dives down its throat.
X's passion is in his meaning, in the painfully honest way he penetrates
his own soul to protect and repair the souls of his people. So while one
could discuss 'Thank You' his Grease-produced duet with Patti Labelle that
samples the classic 'I Want To Thank You' record, or the 'Rob All Night'
joint X spits over a sick Rocwilder track, right here, right now, it's
all about 'We're Back.' One of the most musically powerful songs DMX has
ever recorded, 'We're Back' marks the perfect final chapter to a storied
and unforgettable career. Horns, drums, baby cries. You have to feel it
to believe." Read more.

August 19, 2003 - chickenlegsss
writes "Which hip hop star is developing his own clothing line…for dogs?
DMX. Not too many details have been nailed down, all that is know is the
line will be called Boomer 129, after DMX’s beloved Pit Bull. Apparently,
X loves this dog so much he had its picture tattooed on his back. No word
on when this Doggie clothing line will hit stores but it's also been said
that DMX is developing a cartoon series about Boomer. Sounds like DMX should’ve
been the focus of MTV’s True Life 'I’m Obsessed With My Dog.' In the meantime,
DMX’s latest CD 'Grand Champ' is due out September 16th. "
August 7, 2003 - DMX's new
