26, 2003 - With what is being hyped as his last release, DMX has become
the only artist in the history of The Billboard 200 to reach No. 1 with
his first five albums. The rapper's latest Def Jam set, "Grand Champ" bows
at the No. 1 with first week sales of 312,000 copies in the U.S., according
to Nielsen SoundScan leading six albums into the top-10. Read more.

New York Post reports DMX was spotted drawing a crowd to his vintage chartreuse
Cadillac on the corner of 47th Street and Ninth Avenue in New York City.
September 19, 2003 - DMX
appeared on MTV's Total Request Live on Tuesday (September 16) to promote
his new album 'Grand Champ' at MTV Studios in New York City. Check out

September 16, 2003 - The
New York Post reports Courntey Love insisted that Spin magazine's Marc
Spitz hear her new CD 'America's Sweetheart' at J.T. Leroy's bash at the
Coral Room. Love dragged Spitz outside to find a car stereo and tried rap
mogul Damon Dash's unoccupied SUV. When Dash's chauffeur stopped her, Love
demonstrated her hip-hop street cred saying, "No, it's OK! I know Damon
Dash, I know DMX, I know them all!"

appears on MTV's Total Request Live on Tuesday.
September 11, 2003 - DMX
was enthused while discussing his forthcoming Hollywood projects to SOHH.com,
but his excitement doesn't carry into the rap game. "I'm sick of the rap
game. I'm sick of this fu**ing industry, you know what I'm saying," he
said. "It's run by the devil and 99% of everybody you deal with is a snake.
It gets tired after a while, you know what I'm saying. And I know The Lord
has a calling on my life, you know what I'm saying. I'm not going to do
both." While fans were excited to hear about a collaboration with 50 Cent
on his final album, he says they'll be disappointed. "I did do the track
[with 50 Cent]," X said. "But umm... I don't know if it's gone be on the

due September 16th. Asked why this was his last album, X responded, "Cause
