November 24, 2005 - MTV News reports that DMX was given a 70-day sentence on Friday (November 18) for violating his parole and being late to court. He originally faced 60 days, but Judge Dorothy Chin-Brandt tacked on an extra 10 after he showed up late to court the day before. "She said his whole attitude has been terrible and one of disregard," said his lawyer, Murray Richman. He said X told the court: " 'Forgive me. Sometimes you only see the movie star or the rap star, but there's a person behind this all as well.'" Read more.

November 6, 2005 - The Associated Press reports DMX pleaded guilty Tuesday to violating the terms of his release following a car crash last year at Kennedy Airport and faces 60 days in prison when he is sentenced next month, the Queens district attorney's office. Read more.

October 3, 2005 - AllHipHop.com reports that two men have filed complaints with police in Berlin, Germany, claiming that DMX assaulted them at Berlin's Sage Club on September 16th. "I wanted to go to the bathroom and met DMX," Oliver Osterode told German newspaper BZ. "I told him that I think he's cool, but Lil Jon is better. Then he freaked out. He slapped me in the face, and then his bodyguards attacked us." Read more.

May 26, 2005 - The New York Daily News reports DMX and Wu-Tang Clan's RZA are both fighting paternity cases in New York. DMX failed to appear in court last week as his lawyer Noemi Fernandez Hiltz asked for another DNA test even though the previous one showed a 99.99% likelihood that he is the father of Davita Oden's 3-year-old daughter, Jada, of Buffalo. Meanwhile, RZA showed up at Family Court to acknowledge that he's the father of Jamie Summers' 4-year-old daughter, Rahindia. Read more.

April 26, 2005 - The New York Post reports DMX has a good excuse for why he was driving in The Bronx last Friday with a suspended license. His extremely pregnant wife, Tishera, who was driving his 2005 Dodge Magnum, "started having false labor," a source told revealed. "So he got behind the wheel." Tishera gave birth to Praise Mary Ella on Monday (April 18) at 5:50 am.

April 26, 2005 - Reuters reports that DMX was arrested after a three-car crash involving a police cruiser on a major New York City expressway, police said on Saturday. The rapper was charged with driving with a suspended license and released, police said. Read more.
