11th, but this time he's not in trouble with the police - he merely stalled

November 7, 2006 - In a lawsuit
filed by Monique Wayne, the former groupie-turned-baby-momma claims she
suffered extreme and severe emotional distress, anxiety, humiliation and
psychological damage after DMX told Sister 2 Sister magazine that Monique
"raped" him while he was asleep in a hotel room. Now she's asking for $6

November 7, 2006 - The New
York Post reports the mother of rapper DMX's love child is suing the hip-hop
wild man for $2 million, saying he defamed her by claiming she sexually
assaulted him as he slept during their 2003 hotel one-nighter. In Sister
2 Sister magazine, DMX says Monique Wayne, who successfully sued him to
establish paternity and win child support, "raped me... I would have been
kind of heated about that [if I'd woken]. Like, yo... Get the [bleep] outta
here." But Wayne says DMX knows their sex romp was consensual and she's
suffered "severe emotional distress" as a result of his lies. DMX's rep
had no comment.
October 20, 2006 - MTV News
reports that according to police, an unidentified 29-year-old woman was
struck in the head with a metal folding chair during an onstage altercation
at Hot 97's Back to School Jam concert that involved several concertgoers
and members of DMX's entourage. The victim was treated at Nassau University
Medical Center in nearby East Meadow for a laceration she'd sustained to

October 12, 2006 - DMX tells
Sister2Sister magazine he's not responsible for his illegitimate child.
"[The mother of the baby] raped me," the rapper insisted. "I mean, you
know, that might sound like some bullsh**. No man has ever been... you
know what I mean, like never?" Tashera Simmons, the wife of the rapper,
says she stands by her man. "Before the stuff hit the fan, [the woman]
came up to us [and] said 'I work for kids that are sickly,'" Simmons told
he mag. "So [DMX] said 'Give her my number.' That's how it goes all the
time. At first, I said OK. But, then I thought she looked deranged and
obsessed with him."
October 12, 2006 - DMX is
blaming Beyonce Knowles for turning boyfriend Jay-Z on to flip-flops. "The
flip-flops - he's just not the same," DMX complained to Vibe magazine.
"It's Beyonce. He's a sucker for love. Thugs don't do flip-flops. Yo, no
matter how much vacation I'm on - we been to St. Thomas, Bahamas, all the
little islands - I don't wear no flip-flops. I'm never that comfortable,
not even in my own house."
September 15, 2006 - DMX
cancelled a week-long tour to entertain troops in Kuwait and Iraq, offering
no explanation according to a press release issued by the USO. "We are
extremely disappointed that DMX decided not to complete the tour he asked
us to arrange for him," said John Hanson, USO senior vice president for
marketing and communications. "When we announced this tour, troops were
extremely excited about the possibility of seeing a performer they admired.
We understand their disappointment." Read more.

down a plea deal in a case relating to a traffic arrest --an incident that
prompted an appropriately rapping response. The driving incident came after
the rapper went off in a courtroom in an earlier incident after being served

Daily News reports BET quickly moved to a commercial during its live music
show '106 and Park' on July 12th when DMX brought a bottle of Pink vodka
on the set and tried to drink it on camera.
June 2, 2006 - DMX tells
MTV Europe he's considering a name change. "I think I'm going to have to
do that soon for spiritual reasons," the rapper said about shedding the
Dark Man X name. X also said he was thinking about the name Dog, but he
wasn't sure. "It's just the whole Dark Man thing," he continued. "Because
if you look at it, from a spiritual point of view, the Bible teaches us
that we can speak things into existence. ... And Dark Man, you know, it
may not be the best name for me." Read more.

June 2, 2006 - A judge in
Buffalo has already ordered DMX to pay $5,000 a month in temporary support
to Davita Oden, who says DMX is the father of her 4-year-old daughter,
Jada. Now, Oden's lawyer Suzanne Kimberly Bracker is looking for $10,000
more per month. "DMX did the DNA test," Bracker tells The New York Daily
News. "He admitted paternity, then he tried to deny it." A decision is
expected on that case in the next couple of weeks.

Extra reports DMX has accepted a police caution after he was arrested at
Heathrow airport for abusing cabin crew. "Heathrow Police were called at
12:05 PM on Saturday to reports of a passenger causing a disturbance on
an inbound aircraft," a Scotland Yard spokeswoman explained. "The plane
landed at approximately 12:15 PM and a 35-year-old man was arrested on
suspicion of being verbally abusive to cabin crew. He was taken to the
police station and later released with a caution." Read more.

February 5, 2006 - The New
York Post reports that after he was released from prison early on good
behavior, DMX made his first stop at Copeland's Restaurant & Reliable
Cafeteria on 145th Street, then the rapper/actor hit a barber shop in Harlem
for a haircut. DMX (Earl Simmons) was accompanied by Tamara Conniff, co-executive
editor of Billboard. "It's not real," Simmons complained of today's hip-hop
scene. "No one is saying anything. It's not rap, it's crap. There is no
soul. I refuse to conform."
February 5, 2006 - AllHipHop.com
reports that DMX was granted an early release from prison, after serving
a month of a 70-day sentence for parole violation. The rapper was released
from Rikers Island on Dec. 30, for good behavior and because he had accrued
credit for time he previously spent incarcerated. Read more.
