June 19, 2002 - The New York Daily News reports reps for Franka Potente are insisting that she and Elijah Wood are just "friends" and denied marriage reports.

June 14, 2002 - Star magazine reports Elijah Wood is so smitten with his new girlfriend Franka Potente, he's planning to pop the question. Pals of Elijah say he has confided he's found his soulmate and wants to marry her after only two months together. But Elijah may not get the chance to make a move if his concerned friends manage to change his mind. Many believe it's too fast and are trying to talk him out of it.

June 4, 2002 - The New York Post reports Elijah Wood had a romance with is 'Try Seventeen' co-star Mandy Moore, but began dating another woman on the film, 27-year-old Franka Potente. Liz Smith said, "The palpable heartbreak of young Mandy has been hard for co-workers to watch, as Elijah and Franka moon around over one another on the set." For the record, Mandy finished 'Try Seventeen' awhile ago and has denied dating Elijah.
